Compared to all the other entries though U17 WC is...really odd one out. Its very hard to say without going into the details.

Continuing from previously team japan is now playing against the other countries.

The best I can say is uh...there is tennis yes.

The main issue is the quality and quantity of the tennis is all over the place, at best is maybe ok and at worst its probably the worst we've ever seen.

Score: 7.75. The episodes are just all over the place, its not completely horrible, some eps are ... really meh and some eps are just barely passable. The season as a whole is a blur

New prince of tennis is "ok", although it definitely is very different from the episodes before this (nationals) and even the tv anime.

The main issue is the cast is ludicrously huge since almost every character returns, the major ones from the nationals.

The other main issue is in the nationals ova you had like 5 of 6 eps tennis.
In this anime the matches are a lot looser in that sense, without saying the exact number. Most of the eps are spent on other things

The quality aside the main issue is the quantity, which is lacking.

Score(?) 9.0, maybe 8.75? The (good) matches, whatever they are, is ... like 9 or 10, the other episodes are very debatable somewhere between 6 or 7 or 8, maybe 8.5 if generous.

That being said. It's hard to compare genius 10 ova to 2012. It's completely different, and yet somehow still kinda meh.

Long story short the tennis matches, at least in my own opinion, are just kinda mediocre.

And thats about it really. There are brief brilliant moments, otherwise most of the matches are mediocre or just forgettable

Review score(?) 8.5(?) or 8.0. If you only look at the good matches its maybe 8.5 or 9, the other ... matches are somewhere between 7 or 6

The main gimmick of this anime is the twins.

The two main issues is that

1: The twins barely get any development. For better or worse even though they are two characters they basically act as one for almost the entirety of the anime. So essentially it reduces the interaction

2: Everything else in the anime is, kinda mediocre. The pets dont even show up for multiple episodes at a time. The other characters are average at best, and thats if they even show up.

The anime is not outright terrible, the main thing is it kinda fumbles the main gimmick of the twins and there really isnt anything ... else special about it.

I dont "dislike" the anime, its very difficult to recommend though unless the viewer is specifically, wanting a low key low stakes filler anime. "Switch off brain" anime, so to speak.

And even then I have to say that some sections of the anime I found nothing happens and its really boring

If you are reading this chances are you have already played the falcom games. That being said, there are a lot of games, including games I've never played, so unless you've played ALL the games you're going to miss some references.

Also this is basically just a comedy anime, not to be taken overly seriously, but its understandable that some/most jokes are subjective.
It's really like a more jokey and shorter version of carnival phantasm so to speak.
Really its just an experience to watch and hear the characters in funneh situations, though some are not so funneh.

(Disclaimer: I watched this a few years ago so I ... might not remember everything very clearly, but the general gist of the idea is the same.)

The girls are cute and the mc is fine.

If you like anime with 1 guy and 5 girls give it a try. It looks more or less as you would expect from the cover image.

It's not some super deep anime (or is it) but it's not as mindless as some might think.

All five girls are introduced in the first (two) episodes so the initial pacing is quite fast, for better or worse.
All five girls are great too. Some heartwarming scenes, and its not generic despite how it looks.

The story is curious which is mildly interesting as it keeps you guessing as to what is going ... to happen. Good pacing and screentime too, cast is not too big or too small and great interactions.

Not recommended.

The anime was hyped up massively for some reason but the first episode was really bad.
Excessive use of cliffhangers in basically almost every episode.
Cringey and unfunny jokes (subjective, but eh)
Poor/terrible character balance and screentime,
Main character is "flanderized" at best or some even say borderline insane. And your usual op/broken isekai MC of course.
Slow pacing, things happen very slowly.
Anime tries too hard (to be different and just ends up falling flat on its face)

... It's not terrible, but not really worth watching.
(You know it's bad when you can completely skip the first episode and it would change basically nothing)
