Unpredictable storyline results in no chemistry.
At first I was confused about how it was going to turn out. The heroine´s feelings fluctuate and change rapidly. As I previously mentioned, I couldn´t sense any chemistry between the heroine and the main lead. He is very monotone, I didn´t see any emotions in him and throughout the manga it got to another extreme - his facial expressions very almost too wild and it yet again, put me off. I just couldn´t bring myself to like him.
However, I liked the fact that at first I couldn´t predict the heroine´s choice. Like I got really curious, so at least
...
it´s not cliché.
Overall I recommend this manga, because of its art and cute encouraging moments about dreaming, but don´t have too high expectations. There are times when you might get bored, because the story focuses on irrelevant characters. It also didn´t have much action either.

Deep psychological dive into relationships.
Uncovering the consequences of one´s actions.
Finding the way to understand each other.
This will be a review of the whole series. No spoilers, don´t worry.
When I finished reading this series I felt a void in my heart. A gap, that won´t be filled with any other manga. I´m confident to say that this one of the best manga/comics about relationships, ever. The suspense makes it even more enjoyable. If you´ve already seen the K-drama... to be honest, prepare yourself to discover a whole new series. The TV drama didn´t do comics any good. It didn´t touch on the one of the most
...
important themes of the comic.
STORY 10/10
The story is original, fresh and thrilling. It has many twists and turns, and it shows one of the best usages of flashbacks I´ve ever seen. It´s filled with action, but the main focus is on the character development and the relationship of the main characters.
ART 8/10
To be frank, the art didn´t impress me at first, but when I got used to the design - I couldn´t love it more. The feelings were expressed perfectly, and the main characters are drawn beautifully. I love the design of the main heroine - it makes her stand out.
CHARACTERS 10/10
The thing that gets me so hyped up about this series is its characters. The ML isn´t s as much original (classic bad boy/outsider type) as he´s so well executed. Really - such a deep dive into his psychology, as well as the mind of the main heroine! Speaking about the heroine... FINALLY! Finally we don´t get a stupid heroine that is all polished and almost never makes a mistake, always has pure intentions. Yes, even Seol is the "good girl", but her personality isn´t some manga chliché, but is used to showcase the problems of being too benevolent, it´s essential to the story.
ENJOYMENT 10/10
It´s fun to watch the actions of the characters and watch as small things develop into the large problems. The relationship of Seol and Jung is tense and to watch them get closer is one of the best parts of the comics.
OVERALL 10/10
This series convinced me that even comics can be ones of the high-literature, not only books. Cheese in the Trap has one of the best developed characters, riveting plot and it touches on many different subjects, such as: defamation, the importance of appreciation, judging other and overall the morals of other people. I highly recommend it to everyone, I hope this review was at least a little helpful.

Mediocre, but cute.
The premise is quite interesting - I don´t read many mangas with ML as childhood friends. But with word interesting this is how far it gets.
I think that the length didn´t do the story any good - since the main characters undergo some changes regarding their feelings, from chapter to chapter, it feels unnatural.
The art is quite mediocre, but there were some scenes, where the mangaka showed off her abilities. Overall this was okay for a quick read, but I don´t plan on rereading it at all.
I recommend it to those who are emotionally drained from other psychological/drama mangas and need something
...
to turn their mind off to.

Funny. Cute. Heart-warming.
I read this one years ago and I must appreciate the author´s humor that she put into this manga. The setting is perfect for our characters, because the main lead´s personality wouldn´t impress the readers if it was written in a high-school setting (at least in my opinion). Needless to say, the main lead´s personality is fresh, cute and funny. He´s so caring with the main heroine and his persistence compensates for his lack of IQ. His appearance stands-out as well, when comparing to the typical bi-shounen. I´m a little disasppointed by the main heroine though, she didn´t impress me with anything, really.
...
Non-surprisingly, the arc with the second-lead was weak, but I didn´t expect much from an 8-chapters story.
I think this manga is perfect for readers that appreciate light-hearted innocent stories filled with cute moments. I highly reommend it for those, who are looking for something for a quick read.

Fresh. Cute. Simple.
I think of this manga as one of my favourites, even though I don´t find its plot and characters being above the average or even precise. Nevertheless, it sure provides you with plenty of "kyaa" moments. It´s cute, light-hearted and there is nothing that would annoy me about this manga, really. The manga focuses mainly on the relationship of the two main characters, there aren´t any needless minor plot points as in other mangas, even though some characters show up without any reason. The author didn´t give them much storytime anyway, so that´s not that big of a deal.
I think the art doesn´t
...
get the recognition it deserves. Even though there were times when I got confused by emotions portrayed by the main lead, the characters are written precisely and it´s fun to look at them. I wouldn´t call the design that outstanding or original, but it certainly doesn´t have any abnormalities that would distract you from the story or made you close the manga.
The main character is persistent and fun to watch. I like that her strong moral sense doesn´t disapperar even when sometimes it would be more beneficious for her to just forget about it. Her main interest is cute and it´s heart-warming to watch the process of them getting together.
I would like to point out the fact, that the author pays attention to many details. In art, but in characters and story as well. I think this manga is mainly about the little, everyday pleasures that can go unseen if you don´t pay close attention. I like that after reading lots of unrealistic mangas, I was able to read manga where little is more. I thoroughly recommend, but to those that like big character arcs and lots of action - I think this one isn´t for you.
