My opinion:
Schwarzesmarken tries to look original by covering its generic plot and characters with political matters, betrayals, Stasi officers and other chicaneries, it tries to arise emotions by needlessly killing off characters and tries to be memorable through cheesy scenes and lines that only made me cringe.
I had hope in this show up to the moment they decided it is the best decision to make the MC have sex with his newly brought back from the dead sister.
Story: 3/10
The story takes place in 1980 portraying a divided Germany and the political battles it harbours as well presenting the battles of the East German Army's
...
666th TSF Squadron against the overwhelming numbers of BETA monster.
The plot does have some good features such as describing the struggles of civilians during war, the sky being blue, the water being wet and the grass being green. Yeah, I just listed some random things because I couldn't find anything good about it.
The premise of Schwarzesmarken is overused to the point that you think twice about watching it. It is the generic “survive the monster apocalypse” scenario that has been executed much better in other series, not having anything to distinguish itself from the rest of the similar themed anime shows.
The plot is riddled with holes, cheesy scenes, cliche plot twists, utterly dumb decisions based on dumb reactions and meaningless deaths.
These are some flaws I remember:
1. The fact that the robots can fly removes most of the tension from the battles.
2. The plot twists are predictable thus becoming annoying.
3. The people are afraid of Stasi informants but they talk freely around mechanics and other staff members.
4. Ludicrous lines such as “I love you, I would do anything for you. Onii-chan, take me.”
5. Lots of meaningless deaths.
6. Why is the 666 Squadron’s commander the country’s last hope?
7. The sister x brother situation.
8. The BETA monsters are intelligent creatures but not intelligent enough to make them interesting.
9. Huge explosions resulting from small amounts of fuel.
Characters: 2/10
Most of the character are dull, one-dimensional and generic with the protagonist as an exception to the rule.
We have the mature, cold on the outside but kind on the inside Irisdina , the airhead and mentally damaged Annet, the manly guy, the tough girl Sylvia, the caring and smiling Katia, the yandere Lise and a bunch of other characters that are not memorable.
Theodor Eberbach is the protagonist of the series, at first I liked Theodor because he was a cold guy with a cool air about him but then he became a generic MC who says “I want to protect my friends” and that is about all the “development” his character receives.
Lise Hohenstein is the yandere sister that fell in love with Theodor (her brother) and later decided to free him from that world by killing him. She does have an interesting background story as a Stasi dog but her character ultimately fails at making the show better.
Captain Irisdina Bernhard is one of the main heroines of Schwarzesmarken, she is the leader of the 666 squadron and the starting point of a revolution. Irisdina’s character is dull and receives no development, the only part she plays is the hero captain for others to look up to.
The villains of the series are boring, the BETA monsters are more intriguing than the so called villains.
Aestethics: 7/10
The animation is fluid containing enough gore and blood, the character design and backgrounds are fine but the monster design is bad.
Sound: 3/10
The opening theme is fine and the ending theme is decent but the insufficient and poor background music is a huge minus considering this show belongs to mecha and action genres.
Enjoyment: 5/10
I can’t say I liked or hated Schwarzesmarken, it was just another bad show that made me want to get it over with and left me with a “meh, I wasted my time” feeling. It did amuse me to a certain degree with its stupidity but I will forget all about watching it in one or two weeks.
Overall: 3/10
Schwarzesmarken brings nothing new to the table, it does not have a good plot or strong characters nor is it particularly engaging but it does have many flaws. I would not recommend watching Schwarzesmarken unless you really, really want to watch it.

Gonna keep this review short.
Drifters combines some parts of Hellsing, Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings.
Intro:
A half-good anime about a fantasy world filled with goblins, elfs, witches etc.
Drifters has action scenes with random comedy scenes, combination that I liked.
Story: 7/10
The premise of the story is quiet original and fairly well executed, I loved it.
The story revolves around 3 humans who at the time of their death were saved and sent to another world receiving the name of "Drifters". These men will wage war against the dark forces of that world, fighting alongside goblins, elfs, witches and humans in order to save
...
the pople of that world.
The story does have plot holes and flaws but I will not go into details since I am too lazy.
Characters: 5/10
The characters are a bit generic but they have interesting personalities, unfotunately they do not get any development.
Animation: 8/10
The animation is fluid with nice art and character design. There are some flaws but you will only notice them if you search for them.
Sound: 6/10
Drifters has a great opening theme and a decent ending theme but not very good background music which is absolutely necessary in a show of this genre.
Enjoyment: 9/10
For some reason I loved watching Drifters. An awsome watching experience filled with thrilling and hyped moments that I will remember for a long time.
Overall: 6/10.
Drifters employs a good storyline with dcent characters and awsome fight scenes, I am looking forward to the 2nd season hoping they will fix some of the issues. I recommend giving this show a try, you might enjoy it.

"The perception of others form my true self" - I believe this quote holds great meaning to the creator of Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Intro: This is one of the most debated anime in history, some claim it embodies a large number of hidden messages while others claim it is just another immature series that holds no deeper meaning.
I believe Neon Genesis Evangelion covers many themes and discussions and succeeds in uniting them in one show.
Story: 8/10
The story of Neon Genesis Evangelion is not original and yet it is so complex and intriguing, having many lessons and hidden messages. The insertion of certain psuedo-philosophical concepts and other
...
religious concepts gave great originality to the story thus what was a generic "save mankind" story line became a psychological analysis of the characters.
The largest problem posed by the plot was the creator's intent to converge numerous perspectives, themes, symbologies and messages into one single show, the creator achieved that goal to a certain degree but he did not truly succeed.
The plot revolves around the young man Shinji who will become one of the most important factors in deciding the survival of the human race thorugh piloting the robot "Eva Unit 01". While the story prior to episode 15 was nothing special and actually a bit generic and predictable, the subsequent episodes were great, they merged multiple themes and analyzed the characters to a deeper level.
There are quiet a lot of "coincidences" and flaws in the story and I will list some of them:
1. The origins and workings of the "Angels" are not explained very well, leaving the viewer somewhat confused.
2. Religious symbologies were used throughout the show and they were often misused, being based on the creator's interpretation of them rather than religious perspectives.
3. The agels used to attack every couple of days but when Shinji was missing for one entire moth no Angels attacked the city.
4. When Nerve was facing the Angel in space, they realized the Evas could not shoot that far so they decided to throw a lance at the Angel. Where is the logic in that, to throw farther than you can shoot?
5. This Kaji character is ridiculous. All women like him and act like he is the last man on earth.
6. At times, the story is predictable. For instance, when I found out that Eva were beings derived from merging humans with an angels I predicted that Shinji's mother was part of Unit 1.
7. Most of the angels were dull, except for the one with the ability to creat an alternate dimension.
Characters: 7/10
This is where Neon Genesis Evangelion did not shine, the creation and immense development of Shinji's character made the show loose focus from the rest of the cast. The characters are fairly well portayed each one of them having something to distinguish them from the others.
Some people seek power, some seek love, some seek happiness, some seek apreciation, some seek meaning to their actions and some seek absolute truth. In the final two episodes we discover everyone's desire.
Shinji is not your typical hero protagonist, he is not courageous, handsome or intelligent, in fact he oftens considers and describes himself as being worthless. Although some would argue that Shinji is overly emotional, acts cowardly, seeks attention and pitty to the point he becomes annoying I consider him to be one of the most believable, sympathetic and well built protagonists in all anime.
Ayanami, on the surface she is an emotionless and indiferent girl but deeper she is just lonely, a "me and my shadow" type of character who is often questioning what means to be alone and what is the purpose of life.
Misato is a middle aged woman that somehow ended up occupying a high ranking position inside Nerve's ranks. She dose not have any distinctive skills nor is she particulary intelligent. Misato is portayed as a mess of a woman with no clea goal in life except for "killing angels", she is also portayed as being an easygoing girl who is ashamed about some of her past. In the end it is shown that she made those actions out of loneliness.
Asuka is a german highly intelligent girl who is having psychological issues regarding her mother. Asuka is an entitled little brat who is constantly overeacting, hysterical and seeking the attention of older man, getting upset everytime something does not go according to her expectations.
Animation: 7/10
The animation and art are decent, it is clear that the show was on a tight budget.
I personally did not expect or care much for the animation but even with it being not so good, the creators succeeded in making it fit the tone of the show.
Sound: 8/10
The opening theme is gorgeous, the ending theme is very good and the background music does its job very well. The voice actors have pleasant and suggestive voices that give the characters a personality.
Enjoyment: 8/10
Overall I enjoyed the series, mostly the later half. The episodes prior to 15 were cheesy and dull but the episodes that followed were truly great, intriguing and engaging, i highly, highly enjoyed those.
Overall: 7.5/10
Neon Genesis Evangelion is one of the strongest anime ever produced, it features powerful characters and an intriguing deep story. I recommend this series, it is a "must watch".

Explanation of Serial Experiments Lane from MY point of view:
1. At first I thought Lain had multiple personalities and she was hearing voices due to some mental disorder but I was wrong.
2. Some children are raising their hands in the air to a figure of Lain that appeared in the sky. At this moment I realized or rather made an eudcated guess that Lains is so called God of "Wired".
3. The moment Lain is taken to the Tachibana General Laboratory by the man in black is where she realizes there are more than one "Lain". Now the other Lain personality takes over and
...
now is the moment the barrier between "Wired" and Reality starts crumbling
4. After Arisus's ralation with the teacher is exposed, Lain being a good friend just deletes that memory from the minds of all the people in the entire world except for Arisu. At this moment my educated guess was proven correct beyond a doubt. Lane is some sort of god.
5. Some random conspiracyes are shown ending with the rather important discovery of the Schuman 8Hz waves. We meet Masami Eiri, the former scientist who is claiming to be God and manipulating Laine into being hos puppet.
6. Close to the end, Lane and Masami Eiri have a heated argument resulting in Masami's anihilation and Lane realising she is God.
7. After Lane realised she is God and seeing all the chaos she created she decides to delete herself from everyone's memory, a sad ending.
8. The question still remains, How did Laine end up a human with no real memories?
My opinion: Lane being a God, she saw everything humans were doing, every memories they were making and Laine got tired of it so she decided to take a break and have a taste of life for herself but she failed at that, realising she can never escape her true nature, the God of Wired.
Intro:
This show has predicted today's world obsession with the interned, remember this was created before the internetgot mainstream and crazy.
Seriail Experiments Lane is not a series you can judge easily, it is rather troublesome.
Writing a review for it will be either a very long one or a very short one, I chose to make it rather short.
Story: 8/10
The story is not where SEL focused, the story rather moves along and progresses with the characters. The story revolves around a young girls who is thrown is a world of confusion.
The plot is complex and similar to a maze with ambigous progression yet a discernible direction. Its execution is impecable, if the execution was even a bit off, the plot would have been filled with holes and become a disaster. Bulding a show the way SEL was built is a very difficult thing to achieve and I praise the creators for their succes.
A few things bother me:
1. Who are the man in black and who do they work for?
2. Did the teacher really had inapropriate realtions with Arisu, a 8th grader?
3. In the end, an older Arisu is shown being with a man that appears to be the teacher, did she end up with that pedo teacher?
4. In the end, Laine and her father are talking while foathing in the sky. Is her father a higher being or just Laine's creation?
Characters: 8/10
This is where Serial Experiments Lane excels. In a world full of cliches and poor characters, SEL is a breath of fresh air giving me a sense of freedom.
The character of Lain is one of the most deep and pertinent in all anime. I am not sure if I should call it development but whatever it is, it's great. To explain it, Lain starts off as a normal human and in the and achieves or rather regains god-like powers and that is just mind blowing.
I am not going to make remarks on the support characters since it is not needed. All the support characters, such as Masami Eiri (the mad scientist), Yasuo (Laine's father), Arisu (Laine's friend), etc. are great and intriguing in their own way.
Animation: 8/10
The animation is not an important factor in SEL but it does a great job anyway, consider it was created in 1998. The simplistic character design, the empty rooms, the dry backgrounds, it all works great with the tone of the show.
Sound: 8/10
The music or rather the lack of music has a lasting effect and influences the show in a positive way.
Enjoyment: 6/10
I enjoyed the series as "food for the mind", at times SEL felt boring but nothing I would die of.
Overall: 7.6/10
When looked at it as a whole, Serial Experiments Lane comes close to being a masterpiece. I highly, highly recommend this anime.

Intro: This 2nd season is both better and worse than season 1, but overall it is weaker.
Anime vs. Manga character names:
King Zhen = Ei Sei
Xin = Shin
Qiang Lei = Kyou Kai
Li Mu = Riboku
Wang Qi = Ou Ki
Meng Wu = Moubu
Fei Xin Unit = Hi Shin Unit
...
He Liao Dao = Karyo Ten
Lian Po = Renpa
Story: 7/10
The story picks up where season 1 left, revolving around Xin and Zheng starting to act on their plan of uniting all of China. It follows the power struggle between the King Zheng and the right chancellor as well as Xin's successful military career.
This 2nd season has a bit more flaws and plot holes but it is just as enjoyable as the 1st season.
Some flaws and plot holes I remember:
1. The creators wasted 5 episodes showing Zheng's past instead 1 episode, which would have been much better.
2. How did Zheng's mother become The Harem Queen?
3. The generals are more OP than ever.
4. How did Lian Po smash as huge boulder with his polearm?
5. Zheng's maind getting pregnant is unexpected and not suited to the show. I don't remember seeing the king be romantically involved with her. Let's just throw a "Oh, by the way, I'm pregnant" and then continue like nothing happened. Probably the chancellor is going to assasinate the maid causing Zheng to act irrationally.
6. Why not stop the great general's advance by cutting the horse's legs?
7. These horses seem indestructible when ridden by a general or the MC.
8. Why did an entire unit stop in the middle of a war to talk about Qiang Lei's past?
9. Why does Xin not wear the armor he bought in season 1?
10. How are Xin's clothes the same form season 1, after being cut and tworn apart and Xin getting taller they fit perfectly?
Characters: 5/10
The characters are failry generic but they are decently characterized and get some development.
It is upsetitng to see how inferior Xin is, intelligence wise and the fact that he is no getting any smarter make being a great general a hard thing to achieve. Xin is still giving me cringe reactions when he says/has stupid reactions.
The support characters are better this season, they are better characterized.
The relation between Xin and Qian Lei develops more and more which is a good thing.
Animation: 7/10
The animation is fluid and the art is nice but the utter lack of gore/blood is awfull.
Sound: 7/10
The opening theme is good, the ending theme is nice and the OST is well suited to the tone of the show, the voice actors do a good job as well. The result is an overall good sound experience.
Enjoyment: 7/10
This 2nd season is more entertaining than 1st season, with better animation and better fight scenes combined with a good plot.
Overall: 6.3/10
In the end, Kingdom succeeded in doing its job of entertaining the viewer. I recommend completing this series, season 1 and season 2.

Intro: It is sad, it is funny, it is thrilling, it is catchy. An anime series based on actual historical events that unfortunately has many flaws.
Anime vs. Manga character names:
King Zhen = Ei Sei
Xin = Shin
Qiang Lei = Kyou Kai
Li Mu = Riboku
Wang Qi = Ou Ki
Meng Wu = Moubu
Fei Xin Unit = Hi Shin Unit
...
He Liao Dao = Karyo Ten
Lian Po = Renpa
Story: 7/10
The story revolves around the slave boys Piao and Xin who share the dream of becoming The Greatest Generals under the Heavens. After tragic events Piao dies asking Xin to make their dream a reality, saying goodbye to his best friend. With his friend's death, Xin's journey for revenge and achieving their dream begins, on this journey Xin will meet the fallen king Zheng, and toghether they will work towards achieving their goal of uniting all China.
Kingdom has great worldbulding that is surprisingly well executed. I also liked how they portrayed the political struggle and battles between the king and his brother, later the king and the chancellor.
The plot is fairly complex and highly entertaining but it does have multiple flaws and holes:
1. Piao and Xin, two slaves boys trained each other in swordsmanship to the extent that Xin is able to defeat enemy generals and such. That is very, very difficult to believe and very improbable.
2. Wang Qi goes from being gay to being pedo, wanting to marry a 16 years old girl.
3. Some of the war tactics are hard to believe.
4. These generals appear to have infinite strenght, with one sword swing they can blow away 10 soldiers.
5. The Pang Nuan scenes are just dumb.
6. The battles are unrealistic.
7. How did Wei Ping escape when he was leaving a trail of blood that enemy soldiers were following?Piao and Xin, two slaves boys trained each other inswordsmanship
8. Why does Xin not wear the armor he owns?
9. Do the mountain people not have human bodies? After being stabbed, shot with arrow, etc. they get back up and keep fighting.
10. Liao's past is hard to believe. FYI, Liao was one of the 6 Great Generals of State of Qin at the age of 17. Hmm, something is not right.
Characters: 6/10
The characters are failry generic but they are decently characterized and get some development.
Xin, the MC, is the typical shounen protagonist that is dense and dumb, has a short temper but is very strong and can defeat just about anyone throuh the power of being the MC. Xin is so dumb that he can not create a succesful strategy, he oftens says cringy lines, his only strenght is his body and the ability to raise the moral of his soldiers. Xin has the dream of becoming a great general, which is impossible with the simple mind he was born with but he will somhow succeed in following that dream. I believe Piao would have been a much better main character.
Zheng is the king of the State of Qin. Zheng is a higgly intelligent boy who will face many future obstacles in the pursuit of his goals. With Xin's help, Zheng regained the power after being dethroned by his brother and toghether they will help each other and follow their dreams.
Wang Qi is a great general and an important character that greatly influenced the development of the story and Xin's character.
The rest of the support characters are fine, nothing special.
Animation: 6/10
The animation for the first 2-3 episodes is bad (beacuse of CG) but it gets better with each episode, being fluid and having nice art. What I found extremly annoying was the censorship pf the gore. The show contains almost no blood or gore and that is just ruining the mood and the hype.
Sound: 8/10
The opening theme is good, the ending theme is nice and the OST is well suited to the tone of the show, the voice actors do a good job as well. The result is an overall good sound experience.
Enjoyment: 7/10
KINGDOM is an entertaining series with good plot and decent characters but the censorship and lack of gore ruined many great scenes.
Overall: 6/10
A good series that has the positives outnumbering the negatives and is very much worth the watch. I recommend giving Kingdom a try.

Intro: Tokyo Ravens is completly generic, not memorable or groundbreaking and yet fun to watch.
Story: 6/10
The plot is generic and overused. The story is nicely paced and the plot gets thicker and more interesting in the second half mostly beacause in the second half there are actual Onmyo battles, familiar battles and magical battles as well as some betrayals and multiple plot twists.
The first half of the show I found very boring, so boring that I ended up putting the series on hold for 2 months, and that was sort of a mistake.
I did not like tha incantations for the spells, they
...
were very unappealing.
Characters: 3/10
There isn’t much character development and most of the characters retain their original personalities throughout the series.
The MC, Harutora, is the typical shounen character, he is not talented but he tries his best. I did not like the fact that Tokyo Ravens falls victim to this generalized male lead personality where the MC is dense and a fool for the majority of the series.
Part of the supporting characters, the divine generals, were actually more interesting than the leads, especially the director and professor Otomo.
For the rest of the characters, they are clichéd, generic and sterotypical. The mysterious sort of a bad-guy, Yukon, we know almost nothing about him but I liked that the backstories of the main characters were well done.
Animation: 7/10
Tha art and animation was good except for that atrocious CG.
Sound: 4/10
The sound was a letdown: unappealing OPs and endings, lack of the OST that leaves you with the impression „shit’s about to go down”, I did like the whissle music.
Enjoyment: 6/10
I disliked the bitter sweet ending where the revival of the female lead, Natsume, was able to be performed by Harutora, but it was only half-successful and something we won’t find out what happend to her and the Yukon inside Harutora gets sort of awakened and Harutora finally becomes mature and powerfull and we won’t see what the fuck happens next.
Overall: 5.3/10
The show is worth it because it has a lot more depth than meets the eye and gets better as the story progresses.

Intro:
God Eater is the kind of show that is slow for a few episodes but then goes 0-100 really fast.
Story: 6/10
God Eater is a show that follows the actions of a young man living and fighting in a post-apocalyptic war where mysterious monsters known as Aragami are devouring everything on the face of the Earth, pushing humanity towards extinction with each day that passes. Even though the story is not very original it does have unique features and the action is just so intense that you need to take a 5 min. break from time to time.
I really did appreciate the flashback scenes and explanations
...
of the Aragami and how everything ended up the way it did. I liked the fact that these Aragami are not mindless, they have the potential to achieve intelligence.
Characters: 6/10
Most of the characters are generic but it is not as bad as it may seem, some of them are intriguing.
The protagonist is the heroic and impulsive Lenka. I liked Lenka’s personality, he is not all that generic, and I am surprised of how good his backstory is. I also liked the relation between Rindou and Lenka, he is a role model and a good friend to Lenka. Overall, Lenka is a good protagonist.
Animation: 10/10
The animation is godly, it is ridiculously beautiful. The visuals of God Eater are absolutely stunning, as it is to be expected from Studio Ufotable. At first the animation felt weird but as soon as my eyes got adjusted I saw the beauty of it.
Everything was smooth, even when the screen was overloaded with light, blood, flowing water, rain, thunder strikes, etc. the animation was fluid and it really managed to bring things to life.
Top quality animation.
Sound: 9/10
The opening theme is great, it gets you hyped up and ready for what is to come. The ending theme is good as well.
What I was surprised by is the blood-pumping background music as well as the fantastic sound effects infusing every scene without ever overlapping with the voice work.
Top quality sound.
Enjoyment: 9/10
The great animation/sound combined with intense action, fantastic fight scenes, pretty cool MC and decent plot got me hyped up and made the show a really fun time.
Overall: 5.6/10
Great animation, sound and action with decent plot and characters. Just get through the first 3 episodes and watch the series in one go. I recommend this show to everyone, it is one of the best series of 2015.

Intro: Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry after being downgraded.
Story: 2/10
This series is so cliched and generic that it becomes annoying. The plot is just awful: it is boring, predictable and stupid.
There is the OP, cool but shy around ladies type of MC, there is the girl that secretly likes him, and there are all these other girls that just fall for the MC.
Characters: 1/10
The characters are, generic, cliched and worse than one dimensional with absolutely no development.
The MC has no reason for fighting except for being by a girl's side(it would have been better if he was fighting in order to find his
...
missing sister but they fucked that up).
Animation: 5/10
The art and animation is nothing special but not very bad either. The animation is mediocre for 2015.
Sound: 4/10
The sound is barely above the „shit” rating.
Enjoyment: 2./10
Maybe if it was focused even more on the fighting I would be happier. The fighting is pretty boring.
Overall: 3/10
This anime is so bad that it dosen’t deserve the time it takes to write a proper review. DO NOT watch this series.

Intro:
I am going to keep this short since Initial D First Stage is only the 1st season of the series. On another note, who would have thought that a car racing themed anime would be so engaging and ejoyable.
Story: 8/10
Although at first the story may seem borin or not appealing it actuallty is great.
The story revolves around a ditsy highschooler (Takumi) who will join his friend's race team and become one of the fastest street racers in his area.
The only noticeable "dumb" thing is the fact that they seem to forget they have phones and that certain characters exchanged phone numbers.
...
What bugs me is Mogi and I understand why the viewers dislike her. Mogi seems to have inappropriate relations with an older man she calls "papa", prostitution if I may call it that, from what I uderstood Mogi keeps "papa" company in exchange for money, clothes or other benefits but I may be wrong.
Characters: 8/10
The main character is likeable and a good protagonist, he is well characterized and gets more than enough development, from driving out of necessity to driving out of pleasure.
The supporting characters are explored to some depth, they all have diffrent personalities with diffrent dreams and most of them are well described.
I wish for a prequel showing the racing days of Takumi's father.
Animation: 8/10
I personally enjoyed the animation and art, especially in the street races the CG was well put to work. The animation is mostly fluid and the art is nice.
Sound: 10/10
The opening theme is good, ending theme is good as well. What I really enjoyed was the surpisingly good background music that cointaind various diffrent songs, the OST does an outstanding job.
Enjoyment: 9/10
This anime got me hyped up and gave me goosebumps, I think that says more than enough.
Overall: 8.4/10
A great anime series, I paricularly am interested in cars but I think anyone would enjoy this show. I would recommend Initial D to anyone.
