Kaijuu 8-gou

A similar plot where the main character gets fused with one of the bad guys, but still wants to fight on the side of the good guys despite how much of a danger his existence is to society. Both main characters are also loveable optimists, and there's plenty of comedy spread throughout the series to balance the darker moments. (Well, for JJK S1 anyway.) They're both really entertaining battle shounens, but instead of special powers, Kaiju No. 8 has power suits and guns.

Jujutsu Kaisen 2nd Season

The perfect match for people who just love to be in constant emotional pain. Plots with incredible fight scenes, nail-bitingly high stakes, and deep, interesting characters that really grow on you the longer the story goes on. Not to mention both plots involve an opposing force of evil creatures, in which those on the top are terrifyingly strong. Hell's Paradise is what I feel Jujutsu Kaisen would be like if Gojo were never there to balance out both sides from the start.

While Clannad doesn't share the mystery elements of Hyouka, I feel like the grounded and slow paces match each other well. Both of these shows were made with the intention of having the audience think a little bit harder about their own lives, and maybe even make some changes. The plot takes time to breathe, and every emotional delivery hits like a truck. They're both tear-jerkers, depending on the episode, and are good watches if you ever want to just contemplate for a while.

Buddy Daddies

Two underqualified members of the crime underworld are forced to take on the task of raising a small child. Believe it or not, both of these series have this in common. Both shows are quite comedic, with Spy x Family involving a little more drama and romance, while Buddy Daddies focuses more on the daily hijinks of taking care of a little girl. Buddy Daddies is a one-shot with only one season, so if you're missing your Spy x Family fix, then it's the perfect patch for it. I do wish that the animation for Buddy Daddies could've been a little more eye-catching, but it's more than serviceable, and doesn't take away from the story by any means.

If the whacky title names weren't clue enough, both of these series feature a plethora of crazy and hilarious plot points that will have your jaw on the floor. Durarara is a dizzying experience that you practically have to take notes to follow because of how unexpectedly the plot switches up. These are definitely both for people who enjoy an insane experience.

If you already liked the concept of a class fighting together against a common enemy, only to get attached and have a change of goals, then congrats, this series is practically its cousin! What Angel Beats does differently though, is it's a lot more philosophical. Everyone in this series is already dead, and dwelling in the afterlife, but they have a strong hatred for this particular girl named Angel because everyone that befriends her spontaneously disappears from this realm. You learn about what happened to all of these kids, how they died, and how they eventually are forced to confront their sorrows to move on to their next lives. It's a very short series with only 1 season, but it's a real tear-jerker with plenty of comedy to boot. I highly recommend it!

The Dangers of My Heart is like if you gender-swapped Komi and and Tadano, made the pacing a little bit more even, and the themes a little bit more mature and grounded. It starts off with Ichikawa being a complete edgelord--he wants to apparently "kill" Yamada, because he hates popular girls. But this fades away quickly when he realizes her kind facade isn't a facade at all, she's just genuinely a very nice person. They fall in love a lot more quickly than in Komi Can't Communicate, and rather than focusing on Komi's 100 friends, the story focuses on only a few people at a time to give their personalities as much care and development as possible. The manga also has been spending the majority of the recent story on their established relationship, so the story goes beyond just the pining phase, which is a fresh change of pace!
