Attack On Titan is over, yes after 3 years of the final season airing AOT finally reached its climax, and if you're seeing this that means all of two things. One I finally stopped sobbing my eyes out over the loss of my beloved. And second, I loved the series finale. Not only did I love this final but it cemented AOT’s spot as the greatest series ever to be put to screen. And trust me I don’t say that lightly. Attack on Titan is a series like no other. To quote my previous aot video. The story and characters of AOT are so masterfully

written, it would take an idiot to flop the ending of this series. And thankfully Isayama is far from that. Now one minor retcon nitpick aside in the form of adding the see you later scene into the manga cannon to adapt the manga ending. These last 2 hours of AOT were fantastic. Especially the ending fight between the Scouts and Founding Eren, showcasing some of the best music and animation I’ve ever seen in my life. Which is really good at doing. Mixing Wit’s and MAPPA’s music for their respective seasons to create an emotional and hype gut punch of a final soundtrack for this series, as well as a stunning piece of animation showing how much love MAPPA had for the project And speaking of animation, I briefly want to thank all the talented animators who worked on this final season as well as the musicians and voice actors, everyone brought their A-game and they deserve all the credit for bringing this finale to life. So on behalf of the AOT community thank you for dedicating your heart for the fans. Now back to the fangirling. I mean this when I say MAPPA cooked for the final fight Holding back no punches at all. Giving us essentially a 45-minute straight sequence of Sakuga ending in the most mind-nutting way. ( HOLY FUCK THAT WAS HOT) no like Mappa went above and beyond animating the final ODM scene in the series giving us both of humanity’s strongest soldiers and their best ODM performance of the entire series. Leading into the honestly heartbreaking death of Eren, and I can’t even lie this is where the episode had me in shambles Mikasa’s goodbye to Eren in what was either Eren talking to her in the paths or Mikasa looking into another timeline either way, getting a glimpse of Eren and Mikasa smiling and not talking about killing or not killing the world was something i really needed… mentally speaking. Only to follow that up with Eren’s final scene in the series and it’s a gut punch to be frank. Eren admitting that he really had no idea what he was doing due to You know only being 19 and having his head completely messed up for years now is something that I thought was obvious, that Eren never was this evil person but just someone who’s desperate to protect those he loves and is running out of time. In terms of pure emotion, I’d argue this is the best scene in the entire series. It’s certainly the most real scene. The bond between Armin and Eren is something that was incredible to watch unfold over the past 10 years and I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better way for it to end. With Eren finally being the real him since he kissed Historias back in season 3, what makes this moment so powerful for me is that this is the first time in years we’re seeing the real Eren and while I can't lie, yes it’s kinda pathetic…. That’s the point.. Again Eren never was this evil mass Murider, Eren never hated Armin Or Mikasa. All he wanted was to protect the people he loved. Throughout Season 3-4 Eren’s mind has no sense of time or place. Keeping all these feelings bottled in, causing the death of so many people, even those he loves, so it makes sense that in his final moments with some, he considers his brother, he would let all those years of emotions out before he dies. With Arimin there to comfort and insult him until Eren passes And since we are on the topic of Armin, I just wanna say the scene where he tries to literally Nuke Eren. Had me on my knees this episode successfully broke me emotionally, topping it all off with the emotional peak of beginning to back my potato girl for a final goodbye. (FUUUUCK STOP HURTING ME) i can’t praise this episode enough, and as if it was already a 10/10 the final scene with Mikasa waiting to see Eren again under the tree on the hill, made this episode a definitive 10 for me. The scene, the music, hell Mikasa herself was so beautiful, all colocating with a bird wrapping the scarf around Mikasa as the credits roll… holy fuck man, this episode encapsulated the themes of Aot perfectly, Love Hate War all perfectly mixing in this bittersweet ending. Bringing these arcs to a perfect end. I’m still genuinely so speechless. To say this ending was great is an understatement. Seeing old characters return for a final goodbye. One last epic ODM scene, to collisions duking it out like many of us dreamed of seeing upon first discovering titan shifting. Mikasa Armin and Eren getting to say their goodbye and lastly, the absolute bitter-sweet end credit scene of the cycle continues on once more. Not to go off on a tangent here, but I don’t get the hate from manga readers regarding the credits scene, i thought it was beautiful and perfectly closed the story of Attack on Titan. It’s been noted many times during the show’s run that hate and war is inevitable, and that as long as there is two or more people living conflict will never end. But only brief moments of peace will come. The story of attack on Titan is that of the human cycle, and our need for conflict, the cycle of Love, hate, War, and once again peace until the next war. The reason I love this end credit scene so much is for so many reasons, one it shows what Eren did wasn't for nothing, the story ends with Eren accomplishing his two major goals of riding the world of the Titans and Mikasa and everyone else getting to live long happy lives in a time without war. Second, it closes the story and themes perfectly 2000 years later, history repeats itself as the cycle and the titan once again. AOT was and is a story of humans and the hate we create, a story about no matter who is in the center humans and war will never leave, and history is doomed to repeat itself until the end of time…
