If you like realistic and relatable anime , this is the show for you. The story follows two very different people struggling with their pursuit of love, dreams and friendship.

The characters start off pretty basic, with each episode progressing their character development nicely and as like real life, you start realising that what they are willing to show people is not their true self.
This is not a typically love story either, it shows you the reality of thinking you're in love when it is the complete opposite and having to choose between something you love OR someone you love. By the end ... you get a great grasp of who each person is and it's always lovely seeing character progression in all of the main but also supporting characters.

The art style in this anime is way ahead of it's time and very different, Ai Yazawa has a very specific and beautiful way of drawing, the colours and overall aesthetic is amazing.

The music in this anime is also absolutely great, the opening is especially catchy and I would always find my self sitting through the whole thing (whereas I normally skip the opening after 2-3 times of hearing it). The music in my opinion, also goes perfect with the overall feel of the anime and is a great addition.

All in all i think it's a must watch if you love beautiful art, great story telling and want to have a little cry. This anime will always be one of my top anime of all time as it hits too close to home. I find myself always going back to it whenever I need a good laugh and cry <3
