same atmosphere same genre: slice of life, comedy ---> but the characters are idiosyncratic, too. in particular, the protagonist hoozuki is a bit similar to tanaka - he is not as tired and lazy but he likes to do everything with as less effort as possible. also, hoozuki has a dog who admires his work and view of "life" the same ohta does, just in a more playful dog-like way. ^_-

...then you might like Harumatsu Bokura add

Both stories centers around a group of 4 boys and their everyday life, encountering love, etc. The protagonists perspective are different, though. In Haru Matsu Bokura it's the girl perspective.
