In both there is a girl who asks a boy to help her succeed in the "fashion" industry/hobby. In "Smile Down the Runway" the girl wants to be a runway model and asks the boy to be her designer. In "Dimensional Seduction" the girl wants to be a cosplayer and asks the boy to be her photographer. The big difference is that one is a "spokon about fashion", where the romance is more subtle (waiting for a 2nd season) and the other is a romcom and harem with a lot of ecchi.

*I'll try to be a bit cryptic so as not to spoil those who haven't watched Shingeki. Stardust Memory contains very good fights between robotic "titans" and delves into the psychological and physical consequences of the main pilot having to control these titanic machines that are used for mass destruction. - Both protagonists are similar: gloomy, obsessive and irascible young people. - A bit stupid comparison: Stardust Memory is a Spin-off/prequel and tells the origin of the main villains of Zeta Gundam: the Titans.

*I'll try to be a bit cryptic so as not to spoil those who haven't watched Shingeki. The 08th MS Team contains excellent fights between robotic "titans". Unlike the rest of the series in the franchise these fights do not take place with the robots flying through space but on the ground; an aspect that allows us to see a greater difficulty of the pilots in controlling those titanic machines. - In both there are Guerrilla warfare executed in similar places: Jungle and villages in Gundam / Forests and villages in SnK.

Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Season
add

- Both show the enmity between two "nations" (Alliance vs Empire / Eldia vs Marley) None of these nations represents Absolute Good or Absolute Evil, both are corrupted by warmongering with indoctrinated citizens, but there are characters who are a "beam of hope." - We are shown societies that live by and for War, since they have been fighting for centuries (in the case of Shingeki... Eldia vs Titans and Marley vs other nations). - In Shingeki, Marley constantly uses the word "Demon" to define the enemy. In Galactic Heroes, the Alliance also defines the Empire as "diabolical". - Both have important "Declaration of War on the Enemy" scenes. - In both of them, the utilitarian dilemma of sacrificing many people for a Greater Good is posed. *In this season of Shingeki there is not much military strategy but if in previous seasons you liked Erwin's strategic moments to defeat the Titans, you might like Galactic Heroes.

Berserk being the quintessential Medieval work, there are times when Legend of the Galactic Heroes looks like a "Futuristic-Medieval" anime: - The armies fight and create strategies to conquer fortresses (fortresses that are in space). - In both armies there are soldiers who fight with armor (the armor of the Imperial side is very similar to the classic medieval armor) and these soldiers use axes and crossbows. - The way the soldiers kill with their axes makes the battles a carnage (blood everywhere, amputated limbs, bodies split in half, etc.). In both animes there is a warrior who is almost invincible in hand-to-hand combat (Guts and Schenkopp).

Baseball spokon and musical spokon (koto) The main school clubs in both shows are made up mostly of rookies with no experience in the sport/competition they practice. And that they will have to compete with very superior schools. Both teams are led by a genius baseball boy and a koto genius girl. In Major this similarity with Kono oto Tomare applies especially in season 3.

Both shows feature a epic rivalry between two soldiers from opposing factions (and who respect each other). Both rivals have different characteristics: Yang Wenli and Uraki are dark-haired, an introverted/nerdy persoanality and belong to the "democratic" army... while Reinhard and Gato belong to an imperialist army, they have an almost divine appearance, light hair and a strong leadership personality. The big difference is that in Stardust Memory the roles of hero and villain are more differentiated than in LotGH. Strategic space battles being the big draw of LotGH... in Stardust it also excels in that aspect. Contrary to LotGH, in Stardust there is not much political intrigue (in just 13 eps there is no time... for that it is better to see Zeta Gundam), although a corrupt organization appears who takes economical advantage of the war between both sides (plot which in LotGH is very important).

Both stories are based on the Romeo and Juliet narrative. Gundam: The 08th MS Team it's 'Romeo and Juliet with Mechas'. The boy is a Mecha pilot of the army that defends the Earth... and the girl is a soldier from the faction of humans who live in space that attack Earth. They will face an impossible love. (It is a spin-off of the Gundam saga but being an independent story it is not especially necessary to watch any other anime of that franchise)

Both are short-lived prequels (ovas) of two popular animes. Both stories tell the tragic past (full of violence and blood) of two characters who are almost invincible sword fighters.

The theme of fashion/design doesn't appeal to me at all, but RUNWAY DE WARATTE managed to fascinate me and became one of the biggest surprises. SONO BISQUE seems to me to be a very good alternative, although it focuses more on academic romance and comedy than on being a “Fashion design Spokon”, as if Runway is.

Both animes have some protagonists who undertake a long journey: they visit numerous locations, do research and meet a large cast of characters with their own story ... in order to fulfill a mission. Both works refer to existential questions of the famous philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche: The most famous theories: "GOD IS DEAD" and the "ÜBERMENSCH (SUPERMAN)". They both have some similar soundtrack. Listen: "Envy Revealed" (FMA-B) and "The Seeds of Time" (Monster). In both OSTs there are drums that sound like a 'military march' or that allude to the 'footsteps of a monster'.

If you like the stories of Romeo and Juliet, GUNDAM: THE 08th MS TEAM may interest you. It's 'Romeo and Juliet with Mechas'. The boy is a Mecha pilot of the army that defends the Earth... and the girl is a soldier from the faction of humans who live in space that attack Earth. They will face an impossible love. It is a spin-off of the Gundam saga so it is not necessary to have seen any other anime from that franchise.

1. Both shows use superficial elements (mecha fights and shogi games) to emmmask a complex and deep psychological drama. 2. Teenage and antisocial protagonist who has suffered a terrible family misfortune. 3. Love-hate relationship between the protagonist and a grumpy red-haired girl. 4. The protagonist's special relationship with a boy (adult in Sangatsu) with white hair and "angelic" appearance.

In both series, "machines" containing human souls appear, which can lead to philosophical debates. The enemies (Angels and Gamilians) adapt and use different strategies to annihilate humans, as they face them. The characters question "the nature" of their respective wars, for not having enough information. - Similar episode: In both shows there is an enemy that uses a psychological attack to defeat humans from inside their minds, resulting in a certainly surreal episode.
