"Fun", I think is the best definition for this series, it is fun. Panty and stocking, as seen in the illustrations and covers, have a design reminiscent of the Western cartoon style, despite this, it still has Japanese elements in addition to the language spoken by the characters.
The animation isn't bad, but you feel like they saved a lot, especially in some episodes that border on being a recap.
Regarding the story, it doesn't necessarily have a sequel, but I think that only one episode takes place in parallel to the true story and it is clear that its ending is not continued, as if
...
it were something non-canonical.
About the humor: you can smile, I didn't laugh, just a few weak smiles, not that this indicates that the humor is bad, just don't expect too many things.
The main characters, I'm talking about the panty stocking and garterbeld trio, are indeed very original, both in design and personality. Without a shadow of a doubt, the protagonists escape the ideal of "anime girls" by being real bitches. So, if you want to have new waifus, know that you can only expect them as ideas for NTR. A particular opinion is that Panty shines more than stocking, although I believe that the stocking design is even more acclaimed, and it really is a beautiful design, panty seems to carry more of the nickname of protagonist, and is even more prominent in the "transformations ". Garterberld is a character that I particularly liked, being funny and being a rare black character in anime. Brief, despite having liked him, is a character without much salt and passive in everything, but I like him (a little). Chuck is also an interesting character, being a weird immortal dog that was actually cool. I also dedicate my appreciation to the demon sisters, who were cool, sensual characters with personality. Zipper, the demon sister's animal is also cool, but Chuck alone. The final villain also proved to be interesting.
What about the ending? Well, without it being new to many, I already knew what would happen before watching the anime. Without a doubt, it sounds like a poorly finished ending, which calls for a second season, which was said to be the case, but they didn't (I don't know if the new series for 2025 will be a continuation or a remake, but I hope there will be new things or make space for them to continue later). Let's say that this series is intended to be a "horny and hard-on" series but the ending is boring. Although due to the style of the series, great outcomes are not expected.
Regarding the songs, they are good, particularly I think the opening (both animation and music) is a little weak, but ok. The ending song seemed better to me, I liked it. The other songs too, nothing too remarkable in my opinion, but they are good. Many people liked the songs.
Well, there is also an OVA of the series, which, in my opinion, was the most "trash" thing I've ever seen in an anime, but if you like more absurd and poor quality humor, you might like it.
Now making a brief summary, I think it's worth watching, panty sticking is undoubtedly iconic, but don't expect too much from the series, it's far from being a magnificent work, but of course, we think there is a lot of subjectivity in tastes.

beautiful tale, but with a half-empty ending
This is a good work, it resembles a fairy tale, as has been described in other comments. It has a character that you feel empathy for, a poetic story and the author's stylized art.
However, the story doesn't have a decent-sounding ending, it seems to leave a message at the end, in fact it does, but it doesn't sound conclusive, it's as if it doesn't end the character's adventure. If the ending were more conclusive, the character reached some final point, without a doubt, this work would be something of a much higher level, but a 6/10 is

If you want to watch this anime, ask yourself the following question: "do I like shitpost?" If so, I recommend you watch this anime, if not, skip it.
This is an anime with a simple, funny and perverse story. I believe that many saw excerpts of it on YouTube and were curious, due to the violence and the hechi (which in reality is much lighter than it seems). I was one of these people and I'm happy to have finally watched it. It's not something I regret, it's a series of handjobs, if we can say so, 4 simple handjobs.

This is an undeniable cult anime, perhaps that's why it caught your attention, as well as mine, but for a few points.
This is an anime that can be very tedious, I came close to falling asleep a few times while watching it, and in addition to the boredom, this anime has very low quality animation, and can be very difficult to understand, especially since it has a game the part that explains some questions.
