I want to start the review by saying that I haven't read the manga but I loved the show. It is slow paced and old school but precisely because of that it presents a different atmosphere entirely compared to the anime of today.

The show is mainly about an assassin trying to lead an ordinary life for an year and his interactions with ordinary people while getting into trouble due to his past and handling it while trying to maintain his ordinary life that he comes to enjoy. I won't be spoiling the story any more than this. The characters are very interesting. Most of ... them are certainly in the grey area so don't expect this to be a fluffy feel good slice of life. There is both the nasty and dangerous stuff that people in underworld are typically involved in portrayed throughout the anime.

I hope there is a second season for this. It is rated highly but doesn't seem to be popular despite so many anime with worse stories being much more popular.

Short Version -
It's very interesting as long as you watch it with an open mind and are interested in something different from the usual anime made nowadays.

This was so bad. First 5 eps were quite good. 8/10. Then it started going downhill. It got worse with every episode. Even then if it ended with episode 11 minus last w mins i would still give it a 6. But the last episode was just as bad and didn't redeem itself at all.

The concept was unique I think? Atleast i haven't seen it before. The story wasn't though. And I didn't enjoy it precisely because of that. It would have been better if it didn't follow the cliche.
The art style was good.
One character was ... quite good. Another was very stupid. The rest were there just to make up the numbers. They literally changed their personality as the plot demanded almost like different people.
The entire thing was unrealistic. Like seriously this is not possible unless the entire world selectively ingores them.
The only way to enjoy this series is if you agree with the stupidity of it or you are the kind that enjoys something so bad that it seems good.

This was just waaay too slow paced. I like slow pace anime too. But there is still something fun or relaxing happening in them. Here there was barely anything happening. It was mostly inner monologue of female lead. Also is the shoujo tag not there anymore on mal? This is a shoujo anime. If I knew it from before i probably would not have watched it.

It wasn't unique. It was boring.
Art style was good but the animation felt too much like a manga with pages moving rather than an anime with people moving.
The characters ... weren't well rounded. In fact they were quite cliche. Which was another thing I didn't like. Things were also mostly exaggerated or played down sometimes. It wasn't realistic or likable unrealistic either.

Started good but fell apart in the first few episodes. If you are expecting a fun isekai with yuri then don't watch this. It is full of melodrama. Like too much melodrama. There is hardly any focus on the magic science that the protagonist is supposed to be all over. Rather it focuses more on interpersonal relations and politics. Btw the parents are horrible. The nobles are horrible. And there isn't any revolution by the protagonist. Rather she totally conforms to them. Euphyllia would have been a better protagonist since her character development is actually quite good. She is great by the last episode. Comparatively ... I liked the protagonist in the beginning but by 11th episode I wanted to drop it due to her. I only finished since there was just 1 more ep left. I hope this doesn't get another season.

Short version - there wasnt any revolution. Its mostly melodrama and politics (the bad kind). No fun magic science or the usual isekai fun vibe either. All characters are usually just sad most of the time. Don't waste your time.
