Similarities in: -Music/Soundtrack -Characters -Pacing -Emotions/Character development Days with My Stepsister and The Garden of Words both have protagonists who are able to “alleviate the worries hidden in their hearts just by being with each other.” Days with My Stepsister is unassumingly deep, slow, lush, and emotional- just as The Garden of Words is. The soundtrack for both is gorgeous and striking! You’ll notice great foley sound effects in both- like the sound of a mug moving against the palm of MC’s hand, or echoing voices as the MC’s are walking under and underpass.

If you’re looking for an AU where Tohru ends up with Yuki, then look no further! The MC’s share very similar personalities. Himari Momochi from The Demon Prince of Momochi House and Tohru Honda from Fruits Basket unite in their orphanhood and bright, strong-willed personalities. Just trust me when I say that Aoi and Yuki are also similar. (And of course) there are elements of magic/yokai in both shows!

While Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts is a bit deeper, An Archdemon's Dilemma: How to Love Your Elf Bride is still sprinkled with similar themes! A powerful ML falls in love with a gentle FL who changes their worldview. Both touch of racisms/classism in their own way. Both have magical elements.

An Archdemon's Dilemma: How to Love Your Elf Bride is a mix of Clannad and Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts! The main characters in Elf Bride, Zagan and Nephy, are strikingly similar to Clannad’s Tomoya and Nagisa. The male leads are rough until love changes them and makes them soft. (Even though they had a soft side all along). The female leads are gentle and shy- but irreparably in love. Both series even have a “found family” trope as they “adopt” daughters. Both also have elements of magic! Clannad is much heavier and deeper than Elf Bride, buts it’s perfect if you want a fun, cute time!
