Yes! 5 Precure is so boring. All of the other Precure seasons I’ve seen thus far have something to offer, but this one has absolutely nothing, and I mean that with complete sincerity.
Most of the Precure are your bog standard tropes that Toei loves using, like the blue one being the rich girl, and the red one being athletic. I know this was the first series to have more than two/three girls, but still. They could’ve done way better. The characters are super boring, and while their relationships were cute, they’re nothing special. I was considering actually dropping this season outright because it was so
...
boring, but Milk saved the entire show. Yeah, I like Milk. She’s bitchy, and honestly, it’s a breath of fresh air. Besides, after her debut, she’s really only mean to Nozomi, and has a nice friendship with Karen. Nuts is also a great character, mostly because he’s brutally honest, and his trauma of causing the ruin of his kingdom is really interesting.
The backgrounds are pleasant to look at, but the animation is a bit strange at times. Plus, the transformations are so boring. For context, I watched this series after finishing Star Twinkle, the Precure season with the most elaborate transformation sequences, so that definitely added to my disappointment. The magical girl outfits are also lacking.
The episode I had the most to say about was the writing episode with Komachi and Nuts, and that’s mostly because I’m a writer myself. By the way, I agreed with Nuts and Komachi’s sister.
All in all, Yes! 5 is not the best or the worst of the Precure seasons, but it’s the worst thing a piece of media can be: boring.

I’m very familiar with Uchikoshi’s other works, and I decided to check out his other works, which includes this delightful anime. If the premise weirds you out, don’t worry, the fan service is scarcer than you think. I had that thought when I finished the first episode, but I put my faith into the writer, and he did not disappoint.
The art style, the character designs, and the characters are great. They’re wonderful, and I appreciate the friendship they have. The underwear designs were well-done and beautiful. Seriously, as a woman myself, I loved them and wanted them for myself. The fight scenes are spectacular.
...
As for the plot, it goes the way you expect a Uchikoshi plot to go. There’s twists and turns, robots, and of course multiple timelines. It wouldn’t be a Uchikoshi game without multiple timelines. I did enjoy it, and I think everything really comes together.
The music wasn’t that amazing but it was acceptable and appropriate for each scene.
For his first foray into anime, Uchikoshi hit it out of the park. I’m not surprised that it’s a sleeper hit though. Maybe it’s just a curse, since all of his work is super underrated, yet it’s really good. If you’ve made it this far into the review and enjoyed my ramblings, please check out the Zero Escape series and the AI the Somnium Files series if you haven’t. Both of them are excellent and they’re written by Uchikoshi.

This season definitely is one of the lesser-liked seasons of Precure for several reasons, but it also did a bunch of cool, interesting things as well. This is my favorite Precure season so far. I've watched Healin' Good, Tropical Rouge, and I'm currently in the middle of Splash Star, so I'm a fairly new fan.
First of all, I love the fashion. These girls (except for Gelato) have my favorite magical girl outfits of the series, honestly. I wish that the animal theme was expanded upon, but at the same time, this season already gets compared to Tokyo Mew Mew/Mew Mew Power. Still, that particular

theme seemed thrown in, and it would've fit Healin' Good's theme much better. The animation is good, the backgrounds are nice, and the characters are well-written. Yukari is such an unique character. Her perfectionism and her cat-like nature makes her memorable in the sea of purple Cures. Also, Himari has a well-written arc, and she's our neurodiveregent child. There's enjoyable, complex villains with good motivations, which is rare at this point in the Pretty Cure series. Oh, and the music is on point. It's by the same person who did My Hero Academia's OST, which is awesome.
As for negatives, some of the fight scenes are boring. It's a shame because Precure is normally known for amazing fight scenes. If you're looking for awesome fights, skip this one. However, there is a mini sword fight in there, and I don't think you can find that in other Precure series.
If you need something to cheer you up after a bad day, I highly recommend this particular series. You might be pleasantly surprised. After all, it's sweet as can be!

I like this anime, but it's not as good as the game. Anyways, the story is pretty much the same as the game, but it is a tad bit rushed, and things aren't explained as well as they are in the games. However, it is a pretty good introduction to the series. It was my own entry point into the series. I love the deaths, the gore, and the ghosts. The Dutch angles are a bit overused, but they are on point. The characters are pretty good, considering how rushed this anime was. I enjoyed this anime as a starting point to the series, but

I much prefer the games and the manga. If you want a taste of Corpse Party, start with this anime and then go play the first game or watch a playthrough.
