Sometimes it's the small things that mark us the most. Angel Beats is one hell of an anime and, with 13 episodes only, it has been able to move me in a way only a few are capable to.
The episodes are supposed to be viewed all at once, which is not an hard thing to do once it's totally addicting. But everything's got its downsides and this particular anime is no exception. After completeing this adventure, the viewer is very likely to be full of doughts and simply demanding explanation. Maybe if this was an anime with more than just 13 episodes it could have

had time to explain things a little better. But one does not simply focus only on these aspects as the story was also very unique, everything but predictable. Summarising, I give the story a 9/10.
When starting to watch Angel Beats! it's highly likely that the viewer isn't able to distinguish some of the characters as they are a bit of similar. But just after about 2 episodes the characters start developping, not only in aspect but also in personality, matching each other perfectly. The scenario is very simple. However, it is indeed breathtaking in the most critical parts. Due to all this, I give the art 9/10.
I personally consider the sound category one of the most important. Angel Beats! nailed it. Opening song, credits song and the songs sang by the characters truely rock. As I write this review I am listening to the anime's soundtrack! But more important than this, the ones that played when the viewer felt different emotions, enhancing every single scene, especially the saddest ones. As to the voice actors, they were great, despite the fact that the lines weren't that hard. I give the sound 10/10.
The characters in this anime were outstanding! Totally different from eachother, every single one admirable and shined in their way. If only there were more episodes to explore everyone's story/background! I will never forget any of them. The relationships developed between these are awesome. Nothing more to say, only that I give 10/10 to the character.
Of course such an amazing anime couldn't be garbage. I loved it and enjoyed it a lot! Non-anime fans will love it too, I'm sure. This was the first anime I ever watched and I had a wrong point of view about animes in general. This one had the strenght to "convert" me. I shall always remember it and I'd absolutely love to rewatch it, even though I still haven't. Worth owning.That being said I give the enjoyment 10/10.
And once the average of the points I gave is equal to 9.6, I give the Overall 10/10.
