Ok- to start, please read the manga if you are interested or have already watched this! ( will touch on this later in the review. )
Story- 6/10 Where to begin? Well, for one, I enjoyed the story it showed, while I do believe much more could have been done, it was not horrid nor unbearable. Now that's not my baseline for enjoying it, but just as a heads up, it is not the most amazing story. While parts are predictable and not too unique at times, the overall feel is pretty ok.
To give an idea without saying much- there are
...
a lot of chances for the anime to make it more exciting but just don't it's average. It's not bad per se but again definitely could be better.
The anime, in particular, failed compared to the manga, however, in the fact that it cut out so much more that would improve and help the actual story and plot. Now I won't spoil much but let me just say, the anime is missing out on a lot, as in a whole other POV and characters that would clear a lot up.
I will say I did find the beginning to be interesting, not overly interesting but enough so I continued and decided I wanted to read the manga. As we continue through the anime it didn't really wavier or raise until the last few episodes, and even then the interest was there but not so much the excitement.
Not fuller serious either, quite lighthearted for the situation they are in. but that's part of the appeal/enjoyment of watching it.
Art 7/10- simply liked the art and style. It was nice and the designs were good. The animation was ok, standard nothing special about it.
Sound -4/10 not that memorable, honestly don't remember it.
Characters 6/10- Overall the anime doesn't cover all of the characters to the best degree, I will say though that we at least get to see each character and their actions decently enough throughout the actual anime. Although I do believe some more so than others it isn't horribly done. The group isn't focused on 100% of the time as a whole and we do get to see character interaction as well which I quite enjoyed.
I do like how each character specializes in different types of games in which will come in handy when needed throughout the anime.
Enjoyment 7/10- I actually quite enjoyed the whole anime, not one I would actively think about or jump to talk about however I can defiantly see that some people would enjoy it highly. It was simply nothing too big but enough so that I watched it through and am waiting for a season 2.
Overall 6/10-
OK so the rate isn't too high but I think that it's fair. I would suggest this if you don't know what to watch, you might just like it for its calm/comedic way of going through something of an emergency. Is it amazing and outstanding, no. Not really. But is it so bad I wouldn't recommend it? Nah, not that either. I'd watch it if it interests you or if you have the time to. You aren't missing anything if you skip it. Although you may just happen to enjoy it.

While my overall score is low I would like to say this is still an anime I would recommend to people. I want to emphasize that this is not supposed to be a very serious anime. This is a COMEDY, and I do hope people come into this knowing that.
Now, this review is more so to clear things up for people, and so people can go in understanding what to expect.
The overall anime does not really have a direct storyline/plot, it's one of those where it's like mini-stories within its self, and for this anime, it is not a bad thing. While I
...
do believe it could have been done with an actual plot I find that for the kind of comedy it is, it would be unnecessary and probably actually ruin it.
The overall show is not really soccer-oriented, yes it does have those scenes but don't expect the intensity of other sports anime such as Haikyu, KnB, Ace of Diamond, Mix, Ping pong, or Cross Game, to name a few.
Think of it as a mix of Saiki K. and a more laid back sports anime.
It is a pleasant anime to watch in my opinion as a way to pass time, yes it won't have much character development and while it is important for most animes, this isn't really the case for this one. You do get to see some of the other characters and while not their backgrounds really, you do see their actions and can grasp it from there.
I find that the overall antics of the team and Aoyama to be refreshing and have calmer interactions as compared to other sports anime.
Overall it is important that you don't have the same kind of expectations for this as you would with a serious sports anime. And while this might not be one for your taste. It might just be something to surprise you like any other anime. So give it a try at least!

In the case of World Trigger, I would say I probably enjoy it much more than the average reader. Now atm of writing this I am caught of to the manga and I must say I really enjoyed reading it so far and am excited for it to continue.
Breakdown-
Story- 7/10
The overall story is a fun read and has its interesting quirks in itself. The pacing for me personally feels a bit slow but it does a good job with details and who the story follows, as it switches around a bit. It follows a format that does seem to become repetitive however each
...
time it repeats it is obviously a different experience due to the characters and abilities they hold. It isn't so much where it becomes boring in fact it actually helps increase interest. ( for myself at least)
Art- 8/10
The art isn't too complicated nor is it too simple. I find it to be a fun and beautiful style to see throughout the story, especially in battle as it is still pretty detailed.
Character- 8/10
Personally, I love the way the manga handled the characters. I find that despite its large cast it does a good job and diversifying them. On top of that, a good portion of the characters are pretty decently developed, and we get an idea and sense of who they are. As well as that fact they often show up multiple times throughout the manga. Of course, with such a big cast not everyone gets a large amount of screen time but overall it is well done for the number of characters in it. ( all of which are important in their own ways)
Enjoyment- 9/10 I definitely loved reading up to this point and can not wait to continue reading. The next arc is sure to be fun and the upcoming plans as well. The manga as a whole was a delight to read and I do think that the first season ( anime) was able to convey it.
( despite some of the animation issues ), so hopefully people will come to read the manga and see where it steems from.
Overall- I would highly recommend World Trigger to people as it is a fun read with some good world building and I think the idea's it has are sure to be entertaining. Of course, some will not love it as much as I, but it is definitely a good recommendation to give.
