So on the outside the show is made for you to relax and settle it with all its cuteness.

Its a story about an office worker who is literally working herself to death because everyone in the office depends on her way too much. She ends up meeting a ghost (Yuurei) who as settled in in the office who steals everyone's rice balls and wants her to go home. As this relationship develops it becomes more of a mother/daughter relationship as Fushihara (office worker) takes her home and she begs for her to come home faster. More ghosts/spirits are introduced and its super cute and ... indeed very relaxing to watch.

Below the surface though there is sadness associated with all the characters in a way. Fushihara works way to much, to the point that she is near death hence why she can see the spirits, Yuurei's back story deals with a mom that worked all the time, but it seemed never came home hence why she loves Fushihara, Myako (purple cat spirit) original keeper was a Yakuza, and so on and so on. In the background it becomes a commentary on Japanese work culture and how much it really sucks.

Overall this show is wonderful for its cuteness and has adorable lovely moments that you are sure to enjoy.

Back and as cute as ever... Now people joke that you can put cute girls in any situation and you would watch it, here the gals are fishing, and this show tests that and I think pulls it off..

As with every Doga Kubo show its fluffy, enjoyable and something you can just relax to and with this you can do the same thing. You also could learn a thing or two regarding how to fish. As with every club/odd situation slice of life (Yuru Camp for example) you actually learn along with our protagonist how to do the tasks that they do on the ... show... Which i think appeals to viewers.

Overall if you want to fill your SOL/cute girl shows definitely check this show out and I don't think it will disappoint!

So Doga Kubo the studio that brought you such Moe titles as: Yuru Yuri and Gabriel Dropout...Brings you another fun girls comedy with Anima Yell!

This a simple story, the main protagonist Kohane wants to do something that helps people, and discovers cheerleading. Hoping the new high school she goes to has a club, it doesn't, she starts one of her own with her frend Uki and cheerleading veteran Hizume who is a bit of a school idol. The characters have their own personalities and are very enjoyable to follow to see if they can get their cheerleading club off the ground and actually help the ... school not with just school spirit but sometimes just talking and listening.

Overall this is a cute Sunday morning anime that you can laugh and enjoy without very much thought. But sometimes that's all you want. The characters have lots of similarities to previous Doga Kubo works but that's what makes them easy to love. If you want to chill out and watch something funny and simple this is a perfect choice for Fall 2018. Lovely show 8/10

I've seen the videos gushing about this movie on YouTube, and I'm a huge Naoko Yamada fan so when I heard this was coming to my local theater I had to go, and I was not disappointed!

Look this movie isn't a blow them up, shoot-em-up, action oriented Anime fan looking to see some cool effects is going to want to see. This is a story about friendship and how you deal with changing circumstances and moving forward. Liz and the Blue Bird under the direction of Naoko Yamada takes a fairly simple story and puts it into a beautiful setting and with great visuals and ... score and music to soothe the senses.... This movie isn't for everyone, to a point its a bit experimental but after its slow start and introductions of the characters you really do get enveloped in the story...

And can I say if you are Hibike! Euphonium fan I think you will absolutely love it....Especially if you were really into the 1st 5 episodes of S2. If you are doubting whether you should watch this don't! Go see it!

As for where this ranks in the pantheon of Yamada films: Its 2nd to me, behind a Silent Voice, and ahead of the K-On! Movie and Tamako Love Story, and I loved every single one of these films....so its they're in good company.

The continuing adventures of the K-Onbu (Light Music Club). What hasn't been written about our 5 loveable goof-balls...The show itself is a masterpiece of SOL, Cute Girls Doing Cute things, and practically invented the genre...Hell even the school it was based on has become a Tourist attraction to the K-On fans around the world.

To call this show a seminal piece of Anime might not be a stretch... But there have been many shows since trying to copy this formula and they don't get right. There is a certain magic this show conveys from the way the shots are done, to how the characters are ... portrayed...

I love this show, and participate in the yearly rewatches on /r/Anime, and the fact that the rewatches for this show are always high it goes to show that this show is pretty eternal.... as new generations discover it, its still relate able almost 10 years later. An Anime Classic for sure, A seminal work maybe/maybe not....An all time favorite of mine absolutely!

I LOVE THIS SHOW. I can't say that too often, but i honestly believe this was one of the best SOL shows I've ever seen. The thing is when you look at it its some what stereotypical, 4 High School aged girls who become friends go on an adventure. Nothing too special about that right? Well dead wrong...Somehow, someway within 2 episodes this show made itself a must watch with its beautiful scenery, lovable characters and somewhat interesting premise.

The show grows on you and as it goes on you become so invested in the characters that you are laughing and crying along with ... them at every instance. Mari finding her adventure and enjoying her youth, Shirase trying to find closure, Hinata realizing she has people that she can depend on, and Yuzu realizing what friendship means, even if people can't describe it themselves.

This show has a little bit of everything for everyone. WATCH THIS SHOW.

What happens when you combine Cute Girls with character, Fantastically animated Background shots, realistically drawn locations, actual recipes you can make while camping, and calming soothing music? You get Yuru Camp. I completely understand this Anime isn't for everyone. This is an Iyshikei (Healing) anime, meaning it supposed to soothe or calm people watching it, man does it ever. Its slow pace and lack of action tho might turn off those who like the frenetic pace of a My Hero Academia or Darling in the Franxx.

The story starts with a character named Rin Shima, a gentle soul who loves books and the outdoors. She ... is a solo camper meaning she goes to locations by herself and takes in the peace and quiet alone. Contrast that with Nadeshiko Kagamihara the other main character whom she meets at Lake Motosko, she is a free spirit, loud, knows nothing about camping but wanted to take in the picturesque view of Mt. Fuji. The anime then in 12 episodes tells the story of how the act of camping and learning about how, bonds these two characters together. Throw in great side characters, a teacher (later adviser) who drinks in excess while camping and it forms a wonderful comfy show you can sit and relax to with some cocoa or put on right before sleeping as the ED song is almost like a lullaby.

10/10 for me wonderful show with great attention to detail and a great advertisement for Yamanashi Prefecture should anyone ever want to go camping in the Fall in Japan.

Where do I start with Udon no Kuni no Kiniro Kemari, most would say its a bit of a rip off of Usagi Drop, Barakamon and Amaama to Inazuma. But its so much more than that and as a 30+ male this show hit me right in the gut and I loved it!

The story of Tawara Souta a 30 year old web designer who has to deal with the death of his father and has to return home to the country and deal with affairs there, but is surprised to meet Poco, small child he finds in the kitchen of his father's run down udon ... shop. It gets even weirder when we find out Poco is no ordinary child but a shape shifting Tanuki (Japanese Raccoon-Dog of legend). Its there where we then begin their 12 episode journey of discovery, love, reminiscing about the past, and finding out where you belong. Its soo cute sometimes it hurts and the shows are light and relaxing. Something I know the fans of Amaama to Inazuma also experienced.

I found myself in Souta's shoes having lost my father to cancer at 28 years old, lacking a bit of direction, but what the show overall message conveys is actually true "that no matter where they are family will always be with you" and Poco's role is to help Souta realize that. The very last episode is especially a tearjerker so be ready.

I would recommend this anime to anyone who has lost a parent and to anyone lacking any direction in their lives as it does make you think about how you got to where you are. Great Story, lotsa feels at the end! 10/10

What hasn't been written about this Anime that people don't know. The story about a normal girl, who goes to a school filled with idols. billionaires, and famous people and the girl who just wants to go thru and be unnoticed but becomes anything but.

Makino Tsukushi is the world's every woman. Wanting a normal life but because she IS normal, with a good upbringing but surrounded emotionally challenged rich kids she becomes the envy of pretty much everyone around her much to her dismay.

When you see how the main male lead acts you would think he is a brutish rapist/kidnapper but when you are raised ... with everything and have no common sense you sorta understand he sorta acts and thats the genius of this show, you start to almost feel sorry for Domyouji and Rui showing that money and status isn't all its cracked up to be. 51 episodes of a roller coaster ride that will mess with your emotions, and with adult themed story lines I've never seen in romantic high school anime, Blackmail, Kidnapping, sex etc...

This one is for the soap opera fan in all of us. Combine that with the melodramatic violin/cello score that sets the tone of the show it was hard to stop watching in order to know what happens.

When 90's classics come to mind, I think this is the first one that I will always mention. Filled with a cast of characters that seem cliche when you think about it, the Ditzy female Captain, Bombshell communication officer, the kid who is smarter than the entire cast combined and who automatically became a fan favorite and the reluctant male-hero who pilots a mecha, etc.

But this show is so much more. Deep down this whole show is a critque on Anime and Giant Robot shows, its show within a show (Gekiganger) that is referenced becomes hugely important as the plot continues.

The characters are ... funny without being too annoying the plot is very interesting and there is this sense that it wanted to be different yet provide enough for fans of the genre to enjoy.

If you have a chance check it out because its a classic that should be watched. 8/10
