Hello this is my first review on mal and i have a very very hot take....

To start things off season 1 of made in abyss was a absolute masterpiece, the balance between gore, adventure and fantasy was indistinguishable it was beautiful. I loved how the characters would interact and how riko's goal was to meet her mom and reach the bottom of the pit. The gore scenes left me on the edge of my seat while the layers/scenery left me speechless.
After watching the 3rd movie of Made in Abyss i was very excited for a new season but was left disappointed.

Now onto season 2....... ...

the plot: the season starts off with one of the new characters Vueko getting raped by a pedophile (she was below 10 at the time)

Than it skips forward in time to her traveling to the golden city, (pretty much just a recap to how the abyss was discovered)

afterwards when her group gets to the supposed Golden City and sets up camp they all get sick due to water poisoning and the crewmembers start to turn into log creatures or something. Now here's the weird part, this girl they brought with them gets sick as well and Veuko (her very close friend) starts to worry about her. Soon enough she gets a fever and almost dies, also there was a unnecessary poop scene where Veuko touches Irumyūi (the friends) shit and sees worms in it. This part grossed me out bc i hate poop and im pretty sure the author has a scat fetish. Anyways the group decided to give Irumyui a wishing stone making her make a wish come true. The wish was to have children...... and since the Golden City people were hungry they ate her babys instantly after she gave birth (WHAT THE FDUCK) LIKE WHY. afterwards irumyui becomes a village and the people pretty much become fetuses in her giant belly. anyways fast forward to the futurem, riko and Reg find irumuyi which is now a huge village (you heard me right) and they get into some trouble with the villagers. Also there's this weird furry girl that the whole season focusus on for some dumb reason. anyways for the rest of the season you just see anal prolapses and pointless brutality to the point where you just dont understand what is going on anymore.

After seeing this season i feel absolutly no joy or emotion aswell.

If you are planning on watching this season just dont.... i reccomend you to just watch movie 3, read a recap and wait for season3 which hopefully is better.
