The second season of Kekkai Sensen: in my opinion better than season 1
Story: 6
So let's start off with the story. Compared to the first season, this season was in my opinion better paced and executed. Of course, it was still chaotic, but that's the whole concept of this series. The story in this season was easier to understand and we got more background information on each character of this series, which I also really liked. Still, there is unfortunately no overarching plot over the whole series, but just I still enjoyed watching each and every episode of it.
Art: 9
Then let's talk about the art. Just
...
like in season 1, the animation this season was also great. The visuals were again on point and I really like the urban, New York-ish style. The details in the scenery and action scenes were still on point and I really liked it.
Sound: 8
The soundtrack used in this series in mostly based on jazz, which really gives off a chill vibe and gives you again straight away the feeling of an urban environment. Sometimes accompanied with great vocals and I found it very pleasant to listen to and a great addition to this series.
Character: 6
This season you got more background information on every character which made them more relatable. I already really liked the main character, but the further I watched this series the more I also started to like the side characters. Each person has its own unique personality and they are all very likable. You also got to see a bit of character development in the main character, which also made this season a bit better than the previous one.
So overall, I really enjoyed this season and I give it an 8. Yes, there is no real plot and is their an end goal in this series? Probably not. But there is something in this series, which made me want to continue watching. Every episode has its own story, which were all very exciting. And I personally really liked the main character and how he interacts with everyone around him. If you liked the first season, I would definitely recommend you to watch this season as well and if you didn't like the first season, I wouldn't recommend it, because the concept is still the same as the previous season but I would say that it's better executed overall this time.

Kekkai Sensen, a very complicated, hard to understand, but very unique and nice anime series!
Story: 3
Lets start with the story. The story itself was.... well... how should I put it? It was more like I just didn't get it. 90% of the time, I was just trying to understand what was happening, since there wasn't much explanation given plus there was just a lot of randomness. Since it was all very hard to follow, I also had a hard time feeling connected to the characters of the series. Nonetheless, I found the concept and how it was executed very unique and I had never watched
...
a series like this before.
Art: 10
The art in this series was amazing. They put so much attention to details, from the buildings to the lighting, it was all executed perfectly. I also really liked their color choices. It gave you straight away a good idea of the kind of setting the story played at.
Sound: 8
I also really liked the soundtracks in this series. Just like the art-style, it really suited the setting of this series, which was New York-ish, so I thought it was a good idea to use western style music. The soundtracks also portrayed well the "mood" of the town. If I were to explain what I mean by this, is that in the town were everything happens, the everyday chaos has become "normal" and no one seems to be amazed by it anymore. Just like that, the soundtracks are actually quite chill, compared to the all the chaotic things that happen in this series, which I though was very fitting.
Character: 7
I thought the characters in this series were alright. I liked their character designs and overall, the series had a great cast of voice actors. However, they weren't very special in general and I didn't feel really attached to them, especially to the side characters. This could also be because of the chaotic story and because you don't get any background stories, except a little bit from the main protagonist and the main antagonist. I did like the main character though. I liked how his character wasn't over the top and how he could stay calm in every situation, again fitting well with the concept of the series.
Enjoyment: 6
I did really like the concept of this series. I found it very unique and enjoyable. However, I think it could've been executed much better, if they made it less chaotic and a bit easier to understand for the audience. Like I said before, I was most of the time just trying the understand what was happening and I think at some point I just gave up on trying to understand. Nonetheless, I still enjoyed watching it because of its unique concept, the mix between cheerfulness and chaos and western style setting.
So overall, I give this series a 7. I would recommend it, if you're looking for something unique to watch and would like to see something out of the box. As I said, the art is great, so much that I got amazed by it a couple of times and I also got surprised pleasantly multiple times by their choice of music. However, I have to warn you, there isn't much to understand in this series, so if you decide to watch it, don't try too hard to get it and just enjoy ;)

In general this series was alright, a little bit less exciting than I had expected. It started of great, like the first episode was very mysterious and a bit exciting but from the second episode onwards it went a little bit downhill for me. Still not a bad series though! It also had its good scenes and I definitely cannot complain about the animation quality.
Story 7:So let's start of with the story. Like I said before, it started of as really promising but soon became really slow and chill with here and there some more exciting moments. I suppose it's slice of life after all.
...
Since the title was called "Ancient magus bride" I expected maybe a little bit more romance but also that I found a little bit lacking in the story.
Art 8: Then the art style. I also mentioned this before, but the art style was interesting and unique and in some scenes the animation was really beautiful. It really put emphasize on the scenery so you at least had well animated grass and trees..
Sound 7: The sound was also good. It wasn't very special or anything but it suited the concept of this series, which was fantasy, so it was really soothing and I also really liked the first opening (which was btw also the reason why I started watching this series).
Character 5: But then the characters.. In general I didn't feel really connected to the characters of this series. The character development of the main protagonist Chise was alright but I didn't feel any attachment to Elias and also the side characters' personalities weren't very interesting either. The designs were also... alright. It wasn't bad but it didn't have anything special, except for Elias then xp
Enjoyment 5: As I've mentioned a couple of times already, the beginning really made me anticipate a lot but it slowly became more boring the further we got into the story. The ending was good though, but overall the series didn't have a lot of humor in it, or even if it did, I didn't find it really funny... Nonetheless, it is a relaxed and chill series to watch to.
So, I wouldn't recommend this series if you want a lot of flashy action or romance. It's a slow-paced series which pretty animation style and a unique story.

This season was by far my favorite season of Gintama!!
If I had to describe this season in one sentence, I would say this season was like a trip to an amusement park. Starting with hilarious episodes/mini-arcs like a merry-go-round and ending with a hell of an emotional rollercoaster! (I think ep 305 and 307 says enough...)
It wasn't the first time but I can't remember ever crying SO hard watching an anime. I'm still not recovered emotionally and I'm not sure if I'm ready yet to watch it further xp
But in general, I think the humor in the Gintama series is getting better and better and
...
the main plot of the story as well. The art has also improved a lot compared to previous season but what surprised me the most was how good the music this season was!! I believe there were some new soundtracks I hadn't heard before but I loved it and they fit perfectly within the scenes and made it better than it already was.
So when I'm ready (mentally) I'll definitely watch the next season or even re-watch this season! (Probably when I feel like crying xp)

Akatsuki no Yona is a series that I randomly started watching after seeing a very short teaser that got me already quite interested, which was in the end not all for nothing. Once I started watching it, I couldn't stop. The series is quite slow-paced and has subtle character developments, but that's maybe what drew me in and made it comfortable to watch.
Story: 7
As I said earlier, this series is quite slow-paced, which did not bother me at all. However, because of that, the animation only covered a small section of the manga which consisted mostly of introducing the main characters, with little opportunities
...
for major developments, which I thought was quite a shame. But the series is just 24 episodes long and in my opinion the makers did the best they could to fill the episodes up without leaving out any of the content of the manga. It has a good balance of action, romance, and emotional moments and I especially liked the subtle moments of humor mixed in with those scenes.
Art: The art in this series is very good. Not the best I've ever seen but it shows great details and great colors. It really showed great difference between serious parts and more humorous parts. Yet, the quality of the animation was consistent throughout the whole series and stayed great until the end. It focuses a lot on the quality of the eyes of the main characters what makes the character designs also much better.
Sound: I like the sound tracks in this series. It really represents the atmosphere very well. As the environment in which the story takes place was like ancient China/Korea, the sound tracks with the sounds of the flute and violin are really fitting and highlights the moments of action very well.
Character: One of the main factors that made me love this show were the main characters. Aside from the great character designs, I also like their personalities and their unique (humorous) ways of contributing to the traveling group. There were only a few background stories to give a little bit of depth to the characters, where in other cases the main plot was used to get to know the characters better. Still, within the small amount of episodes, the makers did a good of job of showing off the characters' personalities and making me feel attachment towards the characters. I usually don't like female protagonists, but in this series the main female character, Yona, gets a really good character development which made me even feel a little bit attached to her.
So overall, the story is maybe a bit cliché and short (story-wise), but I still enjoyed watching it a lot. I started watching it without any expectations and I usually do not not watch these kind of series, so I never imagined I would get attached to this series so much! I find it a shame that not many people are familiar with this show, but it's not like I do not understand. I would not really recommend it to people who usually watch fast-paced series with very grand and flashy action scenes. This series is relaxing to watch even though there are also some action scenes in it. Furthermore, the romance is not too cheesy and the there isn't an overdose of humor, but there's still enough to make you secretly laugh or smile here and there :)
I also appreciate that they made a few extra OVAs to provide more backstories of some of the characters, which were also fantastic by the way. However I still hope that they will ever make a season 2 because after I finished watching this series, I went straight to the manga and couldn't stop reading it till the end. The story that's coming after the part that has been animated is also great so I would love to see it come out as a new season ever in the near future.
