I can't recommend this story enough. However, I will warn you that this is an adult story. Not that this has R-rated content, but it deals with mature topics. I can't praise the mangaka enough for how they handle mental disabilities and heavy subjects like addiction and suicide. A lot of manga tend to dramatize dark subjects so they have more impact on the story or the readers. Not here, here it feels real. I don't think I've ever seen a panic attack depicted so realistically. Even through all those dark things, this is a hopeful story. This is a story about healing and acceptance. ... It has become one of my favorite romance mangas and, in my opinion, deserves that 10/10.

Overall: This manga reads like you are watching a B-horror film and if you enjoy those then this will be right up your alley.

Plot: Decent, got more interesting once the Supernatural stuff got involved.

Characters: They are all like someone pulled out of a B-horror film. Cartoony and not that bright, but the Family is entertaining to watch.

Art: It is unique. the gore is pretty nice, some viscera and a lot of blood.

Enjoyment: I was entertained enough to binge it in one sitting. If you don't take it too seriously and aren't looking to be scared you'll have a good enough time.

The ... story starts pretty averagely enough, a group of young people finds an island that isn't on the map. Due to some stupidity and unfortunate series of events, they are now stranded on the island and a crazy family is trying to kill them. See what I mean by the B-horror? There isn't much in the way of actual horror tho, it's more of just a gore fest with a dark plot.

The main characters are split into two groups The Family and those who aren't. Unlike most horror manga that I've read, you don't focus on the survivors/sympathize with them. The true interesting characters are the Family and learning the mystery of the island. Though don't expect any deep characters, everyone is cartoony personality-wise and an idiot with the exception of the dog dude. Who's the only character that I kinda sympathize with.

Now what got me hooked is when they move away from the standard slasher plot and added supernatural shit into the mix. The story is decent and seeing the inner workings of the crazy family is entertaining. Give it a go if you want to be mildly entertained with some gore and a supernatural side that's different from other mangas out there.
