NieR: Automata, is one of the best games that has been released. If you have played through it, you know 100% what I am talking about and how deep the story of the game goes. It is no surprise to us that A-1 Pictures picking up this masterpiece, would be this good.
I cannot express enough on how much the game had an impact in my life when I finished it. And after 6 years, here I am writing a review on an anime adaptation that I never dreamt would be possible.

Story: 10 (Masterpiece)
As I said before, there is no surprise that the story that the ... infamous Yoko Taro built is very close to perfection. The world building mixed in with the creativity of the mistery of what is happening in it, makes you uneasy to the point where some times you stop just to ask yourself "What is being alive?". Without spoiling much, I can only tell you that from episode 3 forward, things will get really interesting to the point where I'm sure you just want to know what will happen next episode.

Adaptation: 9.5 (Masterpiece)
I'm a big fan of the whole Nier universe, and to be honest, I think the adaptation is very close to perfection. The references, the music, the voice acting, the characters emotions... I feel like it's way too good to be true sometimes. If you see people that are "fans" of the game, start arguing on how the adaptation is bad because "They skipped 2 hours of gameplay" ignore them. First of all, it is a lie since the adaptation of a game that has 21 hours of main objectives and 40 more hours to complete the rest of the game, you wouldn't expect them to drag the anime for 180 episodes(roughly 60 hours) just to show you details of the game, so they mostly show you small references on what happens on various routes the game and the main plot (which again, to me just makes sense).
They even animated 2B's ladder climb, what a legendary studio.

Sound: 10 (Masterpiece)
The opening is a banger, Aimer was a great choice on this one. The theme "Escalate" is really touching. I've been listening to this music nonstop since ep 1 was released, and to be honest, if you end the anime or played the game, the song's lyrics reflect perfectly what Nier: Automata is all about.
Voice acting, soundracks from the game, Ufotable level sound desing. I cannot explain further. You willcry on some of the soundtracks.

Characters: 9.5 (Great piece)
Their emotions, theit lines, the way they interact with each other, it is so unique that you 100% won't ever see anything like this again. The love that you build for the characters the more the time passes by, it's perfect. The introduction of new characters in the anime feel very refreshing compared to the game where at the start you are bombarded with information. This might be me since I know the story already, but I think it is at least more understandable now since there are not too many text boxes to read and a lot of characters to know the name from the get go.

Animation: 9 (Great)
Don't let others fool you by saying the CG is bad in this anime, surely they didn't watch overlord or Berserk remake. To make the CG perfect, they would have needed to make a colab with studio Orange. People need to start thinking that there are some studios that are way too 2D focused to have a team make the 2 second CG for episode. This is no Violet Evergarden, but going through the trouble of animating the sequences perfectly aligned with the game "map", I just gotta clap and say "thank you". To me this is the best animation A-1 Pictures has put out yet.

Enjoyment: 10 (Masterpiece)
I'm enjoying this anime very much, 100% my favourite anime of the season and probably will be of the year as well if everything continues on like this. If you are a fan of the game and you are not enjoying this as much as I am, it's fine. Everyone enjoys anime in a different way. I ask you don't go out of your way to write false claims about the game "that you played", just to ruin the experience for viewers that didn't play the game.

Final Score: 9.66
As my final words, this is a very enjoyable show with lots of things too look into. Theories of mysteries yet to be solved, characters that are much more puzzling that meets the eye, feelings for robots that wou would never thought you would have, and much more.
As a hint for the people that are new to this, I highly recommend you to play the game before watching the anime, but either way it is very enjoyable nonetheless.

I'm going to be blunt, this is not your typical fantasy of the season.
I do enjoy this show to a certain extent, it seems to have a charm to it. To put it simply, it is fun to watch.

Story: 7 (Good)
There are not many episodes out yet, but with this little, we can only get an idea of the direction the anime will take without reading the Light Novel.
This is a story about four characters that were betrayed by someone before forming their party, and all of them in need of money, like fate, they end up meeting each other in a way that ... is heartwarming. And Nick being a genious party leader ends up convincing them to form a party!

Characters / World Building: 9 (Great)
I do think I can fit characters and world building in the same category, let me explain.
While growing up, I ended up playing a lot of RPG games. Creating/gearing characters and exploring is what made that genre my favorite, and I think the fantasy in this anime really makes you feel like their party fits very well! Like, c'mon, dont tell me a smart swordsman, a strong dragonkin, an OP mage and a very calm priest don't seem pretty cool?
We dont know very much about the characters yet, but this in a way is a slice of life as well per se, so we will see their development way up until the end.
Their backgrounds not being the most common ones I've seen, feels... refreshing. The way the characters interact with one another feels more "human" than most of the animes I've seen this season and I'm all about it.

Sound: 6 (Fine)
The sound of the anime is "good", by it's uses you know what is happening, like sound of the water flowing or the voices of people talking in the background. This is a point people tend to overlook, but it is really important to immerse viewers into the world.
The soundtracks of the animes in general make them way more interesting, in which I think in this one doesn't hit the mark quite yet. About the opening... not good, but I've seen much worse.

Animation: 7 (Good)
This is 100% the regular animation you have. Not Ex-arm, not Violet Evergarden. I would say it would be just one and a half points below the original SAO. Or as the MAL scores suggest, "Good". It has some sloppy parts, but there are some that are very good as well.

Enjoyment: 8 (Very Good)
This anime surely makes me want to know what happens next to the party and what they will end up doing together. It is not so much about the fighting itself, but more about the party's story.
People these days are way more critical about animes than when I started watching (back in 2013), and as years pass, people's taste changed a lot(like mine as well), but one thing that stayed always with me is to always try to have fun watching anime. With this I don't think so much about the negatives and reinforce more on the positives.
And with this comes the question: "What's wrong with having fun watching anime?".

Final score: 7.4+1 = 7.5 (8)
I do think this anime has potencial, but as you can see from what I wrote, it's drawbacks are about the sound and animation. With this, I will give it a 0.1 for my future expectations. And like my teachers didn't, I will round the 7.5 to 8.

"Shokugeki no Souma looks stupid, it's just a story about a guy that likes to cook food"

Good god, this anime series....
The anime that made me start cooking good food other than eggs and burgers.
Shokugeki no Souma San no Sara showed me so much about what it takes and what is like to cook.
It's unbelievable the way they can put out such an intresting and joyful story, and combine it with the so well done music and sounds.
The time that we have waited for this season was not too long, but it was kind of painful, at least for me, in a way that I wanted ... so bad to continue watching and enjoying the way they make food and show it to the viewers.

Story-10/10
This season was so good, it's unvelievable how they made such good work with the adaptation, it was so good that made me rewatch some of the episodes in the same day. Its amazing the work Yuuto Tsukuda (the creator of SnS) has put into this season, it's unbelievably remarkable in every episode.

Art-10/10
Couldn't ask for better design and art, fits perfectly with the theme of food.

Sound-10/10
Undeniably my favourite openings and theme musics of all animes that I've watched until today, every second of the opening is amazing, it spoils much even though you have no idea until the end. The ending music is amazing as well since at the end of every episode makes me smile somehow.

Character-9.5/10
Yukihira Souma--->My favoutite character in any anime because of his behaviour and sense of challenge and doesn't stay depressed after losing any match.
Every othert character is so well developed, some of the times you think you know a certain character because what you saw in previous episodes, but in SnS is really intresting how they change ideas and opinions from one episode to another.

Enjoyment-10/10
Couldn't enjoy more than this, it's on my top 3 for some reason, every episode makes me feel like there is so much to the anime than it looks, its exceptionally amazing how they made every episode enjoyable to this point.

Overall-10/10
I can't say much more about it, it's most likely I don't have words to describe how outstanding this show is, I can only say one thing, and that is ---> Shokugeki no Souma

This is my first review so I will try to explain myself the best way I can.

This show is completely amazing, from the 1st episode until the last one, it shows many ways of gambling, and many ways of cheating that at least I couldn't even think about !!!!

This show got me so into it, that every gamble it got me almost to take my nails off (you get the reference) and also its so amazing how exciting it is, I've never found gambling exciting until I watched this show, even though I control myself a lot other than some characters in this anime, I ... now find it fun cause you can put something on the line and be excited about it either you win or lose !!!

Story: 10/10
Oh boy oh boy, this one is what I consider a masterpiece, the plot is amazing cause it's the first time I've seen an anime with gamble in it and found it exciting (I've watched No Game No Life and loved it BUT this one I consider more exciting because of the enviroment).
Its all about a girl that wan't to gamble for her life and be excited about it as well as other characters !!! Even though there could be a second season, because some of the things are still vague.

Art: 9/10
I don't have many ways of describing how beautiful they've made this anime, it has a LOT into it, I couldn't ask for better for an anime of mystery and drama !!!

Sound: 9/10
The music, the sounds all fit SO perfectly in the moments of suspense, and the opening is so well made that is one of my favourite ones now !!!

Character: 8/10
All the characters are so good the way they are until the end, you see from the start how they look like and it shows how they were not what you thought they were !! The only problem that I find about this anime is that it doesn't develop much about their past or their story, which is fine since it's only a 12 episode anime I won't ask to show all the past like Naruto.

Enjoyment: 10/10
I think I've enjoyed it way too much, if you are going to watch it, be prepared for the suspence that won't let you breathe !!

Overall: 9/10
Such unique anime, it is just like nothing you've seen before, all of it just fits so perfectly, the art, the story, the sound, are just amazing and again, I couldn't ask for more for an anime that has 12 episodes.
I think I've found it really unique since this year we had a lot of animes that just look like ripoffs of some others, and I think if you watch it until the end you will enjoy it.
I gave it 9/10 because of the character development is not perfect, season 2 would make sense and I would come back to change all this.

Sorry if I repeated myself too much even thoough this is not an excuse, my mother tongue is not english, I've tried my best to express myself and I hopefully made you guys look forward to watch this one !
