The catalyst to our favorite 2024 summer anime starts off with our MC going down into the dungeon eliminating slimes until he comes across a golden one, which then grants him an extremely strong Servant Loli card because, why the hell not. Hell, let's even give him another extremely powerful Loli card to top it all off.
After the catalyst, the show doesn't seem to get much better, While the dynamic between Kaito and his friends Hayato and Shinji is decent, I can't say the same for the dynamic between Katsuragi and Kaito. Kaito's presence in the dungeon appears to worry Katsuragi. This frequently occurs when
...
Kaito is discussing exploring the dungeon with his buddies. Often times Katsuragi interrupts the conversations, curious as to what they are discussing, and Kaito frantically tries to shift the topic. In some instances, it got a chuckle out of me. Like him tricking Katsuragi by telling her he was taking dance lessons for a big dance party instead of exploring the dungeon. But their relationship dwindles because Kaito is too dense.
Then, so basically, Jinguji—one of the three women in Katio's soon-to-be harem who is a college student mind you, recommended Kaito to attend her college. So Kaito invites Katsuragi to go. and when Kaito introduces Katsuragi to Jinguji as a “childhood friend” and not his girlfriend Jinguji feels relieved? Who knew Drake worked on this anime? At the end of the episode, the rest of the two girls from the trio arrive but one almost gets hit by a soccer ball and Kaito like the Sigma he is magically bicycle kicks the soccer ball away from her face and into the goal. I can't make this up. The cringe is unbearable.
All in all, it's just mediocre at best. The show isn't hard to digest or overly lewd so its a great anime to watch with your family. Or to pass time.
Lastly, this is my first review so take it with a grain of salt.
