(First time writing a review)
To be completely honest, the whole thing was kinda lackluster. I went into this expecting great levels of horror as it was suggested to me on a top 10 horror manga video from, who I'd class as a good source of horror manga. My issue comes from how not scary it was.
The story was on the level of a good urban legend, not a great one though. It was interesting to see how the main character responded under the hopelessness of trying to escape the creepy lolita. The plot kinda revolves around the hopelessness of the situation, yet the hopelessness
...
comes from the sheer incompetence of every adult in the manga. The police suck at their job, even if there is no evidence of a stalker, they should have investigated the incident to a further degree than "Well, there ain't no evidence pointin' to a stalker here at a crime scene." Its ludicrous how the detectives judge every murder as a suicide when these people probably reported a creepy stalker - even if they didn't suspect anything after the first one, only a baboon wouldn't question anything after the next stalker case ends in another damn suicide. I would mention the idiocy of the parents but it might spoil the ending.
The art was great for the horror as it made everything look unnaturally dark and eerie.
The main characters were sorta good, the main dude and the lolita girl were both well developed and allowed for the reader to feel scared for the main dude.
I didn't really enjoy it, I spent the whole time questioning the police's actions and being bored. The only reason I kept going was due to me expecting it to get better, which it didn't.
Overall, a six is a pretty good rating for this subpar horror manga, it's possible I might have been scared if I read it in the dark, it's possible I might have been scared if I wasn't so damn confused by the police's actions and it's possible I might have been scared if I lived alone.
