As I see it, this is an anime that proposes silly sexual adventures and that's exactly what it delivers.
If you're looking for female character development forget this anime. It bothers me that the absolute majority of the female characters are sex workers (I know the anime is about that but still...), and the anime makes it look like women have no other job in the world it presents, except from Death Abyss and Meidri, and even those two are sexualized. I got and I laughed a lot.
It's far from being peak humor, but it doesn't take itself very seriously - the show acknowledges how absurd and stupid it is and its just not afraid to be silly.
They could have gone really bad with this by having non-consensual sexual activities or physical/verbal abuse, but I see the anime didnt take it that far and was actually pretty respectful asides from objectifing women a bit... you see, theres only sex workers but none of them are mistreated.
I just wish they would show more male action, since this anime is very female focused (as usual...), but it was just as I expected.
It is a dumb story but I think that's the whole point. It's supposed to be goofy. If you sit to watch this anime with this in mind, you'll have fun, but if you're looking for a good story with true character development, just watch something else. Overall it's nice if you want to watch some silly stuff while having dinner.
