Both anime appear emotional to watch near the end of the series (aka a masterpiece). They both have powerful magic users that are either seen as good or bad with some the antagonists sporting sadistic features. Nonetheless, similar emotions were felt bu people who were into the story plot.

To start, the title is very similar to the title. There are characters that use a sword to fight and have rapid movements in terms of speed and reaction time. There are also characters that sport special suits known as either Kamui or Regalias. Likewise, in Akame ga Kill, some characters have special weapons known as Imperial Arms. Lastly, the main character of Akame ga Kill is visually similar to the main character of Kill la Kill, with black and red clothing and skirts.

Both anime contain demons/phantoms from another realm. Some demons are helpful in Blue Exorcist but all phantoms come from negative intent and emotions in Noragami. Monsters from both anime have a similar form and behavior to each other, except the monsters from Noragami are more darker and less colourful. Both MC's have about the same personality. They share the same humor, and can be serious if the situation calls for it. They both fight with a katana against the demons/phantoms. Spirits can be summoned to assist you in battle in Blue Exorcist, but remain in the same world using the summoner's energy as fuel, but the equivalent to Spirits (Regalias), are summoned to battle as a weapon after making a contract with them.

Both anime contain demons from another realm coexisting with society with the MC starting from evil or detested to a good and understanding being well liked by peers. Humans and demons alike detest one another for being seen as evil in religion for humans and other apocryphal accusations against each other. Contains magic used for combat purposes and an MC that can be pretty lazy at times and OP when angry.

Hataraku Maou-sama!

Contains demons from another realm inhabiting a particular region in the world and coexisting with humans. Both demons and humans alike detest each other because humans see the demons as evil beings and kill them and demons see humans as evil because they get killed without a valid reason, until they blame each other for apocryphal reasons. Magic can be used for combat and contains an overpowered MC.

Contains demons and humans coexisting in the same society. Some demons are hated for either stereotypical or personal reasons. Magic exists and is used for combat purposes. It also includes some humor and fanservice. May contain some clichés about evil demons becoming good people and working alongside humans.
