Overall this anime is extremely opinion-sharing. Many people call it the mother of Isekai but some people call it pedophile-like trash. I personally have a big dilemma with liking this show.
I think Mushoku tensei's biggest strength is it's powerful character images. Each character has a purpose, history and a future. Their natures are transformable and they were able to"move without strings" meaning they don't live only for the story.
It's second huge strength is it's effective scenes. With it's powerful visuals, audio and cinematic choreography it's able to reach the viewer. It's able to create emotions such as joy sadness, grossness, cuteness depending on each
...
scenes purpose.
One more strength worth mentioning is how compelling it is. Each time new episode arrived i was eager to watch it. Why? Because it keeps giving us impressions that something is going to happen. And i bet something is in the second season. Also with a constant mixture of comedy and tragedy it kept viewers thrilled but happy.
As one of its weaknesses, is its bouncy writing. The atmosphere of the anime keep changing from innocent fun to not so innocent fun way too much. First there is a heartwarming scene and after that back to sexual harassment. And also it's a little weird that the protagonist improved all the vices of his previous life except being extremely pervert.
Also at some points It feels too personal and it has no standards. It kinda feels like it's written by an actual NEET who is telling about his culpable dreams and how he wants to be reincarnated. It lacks a professional touch.
Generally it felt like a striking isekai tale told by an unethical person. The entirety looks good but the detail a bit too unlikable. It's great from rational aspect, but not from social view. I am personally against shows of this kind but i like to review animes rationally. (Sorry for bad english)
