It took me a while to catch up on this series.
I am glad I gave it a shot!
For a change we're seeing a show that revolves mostly about females, but they are not your typical bishoujo, nor are they little magical girls. They are Otakus.
Although the main characters problems with handling day to day lives and encountering the "outside world" were somewhat amusing, it still stood on a very realistic point of view -
I'll explain -
We're seeing how difficult it is for these group of females to interact with outside society, and already on the first episode I was thinking that in reality
...
they would all have to go to psychiatric treatment.
The issues of low self esteem (Characters deem themselves worthless and ugly) and how it effects other people's view on the main character and the opposite.
The belief (caused by low self esteem) that your just not good for anything, and your not..."Normal" like other people.
~~~
Then we're getting the complete opposite character of the lead character meeting up, and they share a connection.
Parts that were good about this show -
Character designs.
Plot.
Animation.
Parts that were bad -
Lack of character growth.
Not enough romance.
Not enough point of views of the other resident Otakus.
I highly suggest others to watch this show, and eagerly await the second season.
