A step down from the first series, Arakwara Under the Bridge season 2 retains the lolsorandum humour of the season 1 but loses everything else. This season none of the characters really develop except for the new butch dyke character who is not very good and feels like a copy of another certain character (minus the child form) to operate as a love interest to Nino. The social commentary from the first season is missing and the everything else is basically the same as the first plus one character.

Pretty cringey and bad manga series, starts off with a bunch of politicians acting like perverts from a hentai manga and goes from there. The moral and politician lecturing does it no credit and the series drags throughout the middle. It is NOT as good as Death Note, not nearly as exciting in execution and much more preachy in it's message while Death Note remains more subtle in moral implications. Although to be fair Akumetsu does not have a drop in quality as noticeable as Death Note... but that is because the series is bad the whole way through whereas Death Note has moments of

Fourteen years later and looking at the way robot technology is increasing this show could become quite prophetic, or totally wrong.
The MC is bread and butter virgin down on his luck type that's common in this genre and he doesn't really develop much beyond that. He never takes advantage of the naive Chi which is sweet but it never quite makes up for the fact he is falling in love with a computer. Really I found the supporting cast more interesting because most of them had had prior experiences with persocoms which influenced their world-view and the society around them.
