This story sounded better when I heard it from a fan: a boy repeating his high school life who needs to 'seize the opportunity.' My kind of story but I guess for that reason, through his perspective, other characters missed some development. It wasn't all bad. I didn't feel like it was pretentious. The art was experimental, usually a treat, and the best of what this anime offered. I enjoyed the song by Higuchi, the proxy war, the lewd scenes. Just as the art was weird so was the story. But there was too much reused lines and familiar scenes. This anime could have done

with less episodes or a shift in character development. I would have liked Akashi to be written with more depth and more screen time. It was funny at times, worth the casual watch, but not memorable, sadly. Overall 6.5/10.
Watashi is supposed to 'seize the moment' by connecting with Akashi, his crush--well, crushes are a dime a dozen. As a teenager that can be an appealing theme, however, and that 'what if' sentiment gets us started, but I posit that you can seize the moment by connecting with anyone that you're interested in. Eventually that experience will help with your love interests. It might do more harm than good to treat your crushes as important, superior, or as idols. Try to manage your romantic emotions and treat them as equals. Often in life, we have to leave a lot of people behind. We meet and forget. If you like someone start with hello, what's your name; practice your small talk; sustain that; improve; and then plan something and invite them. Every step is always an act of courage, nothing's forever.

Wolf Children, a simple family story which includes a tinge of humor and sweet foreshadowing, follows the love of Hana for her children (Ame & Yuki). Although Hana intrigues herself with a mystical wolf man hence the eponymous title, the story is—gently—passive. Consequently, events feel predictable, but actually, the story lacks and active counterpoise (i.e. physical antagonist, plot twist, or any satisfactory tension); Nonetheless, the story maintains a relatable authenticity whether the viewer is a son/daughter, brother/sister, or mother.
While Hana struggles to manage raising wolf children, it is enjoyable and enlightening to watch both blissful siblings grow with contrast.

And in harmony, the sprightful score enhances the scenic visuals, as they whisper who the characters are which becomes important later on.
This heartwarming anime presents invaluable life lessons that has changed lives.

Honestly, I predicted some events that where going to occur next but that doesn't mean that the story does not have a great concept. This anime should have been extended - even a little - because of (Characters' relations & interactions). Noticeably, 12 and Lisa's because they just seem to connect out of the blue.
This show had potential to be a masterpiece...
Story: When Chess/Shogi is involved I thought i was in for tactical and surprising play. That was mostly the case; terrorism cleverly carried out. Sphinx (9 & 12), who are exceptionally gifted, set the first act of terrorism with an end

game ready in mind. They're intentions - bad or good - are tried to be parried by detective Shibazaki who is also smart. But is he smart enough?
Character: Shibazaki - The detective (Shogi player) who risks his job to get to the bottom of facts and risks his life to uncover the shades of the past. He seems to be the only one who can answer the Sphinx's riddles, thinking ahead he stays ahead of his peers. How close will he get to Sphinx's' identity?
9 - Best chess player in the anime... The cool, ladies' man but he's really calm and goal-oriented. He know it's best to have less friends because of the endgame.
12- Cheerful lad. He wears a smile as much as he wears his clothes- no this is not that kind of anime, you freak.
5 - She is a rival, but to whom? Hint: she is hearing the same noise as 9... I like her, she left me thinking Why? But if you really think about it her actions are not confusing.
Lisa - A shy, oppressed girl. She doesn't exist until a few episodes in- Yes, I know she's in the 1st episode. It feels like she's just chucked in the batch to simply give problems to the real main characters- 9 & 12.

Why you should read this manga..
Story: If you have a keen eye you notice that the some problems that arise in the games can be solved by math. But don't worry, they're not predictable. Unexpectedness is enjoyment, and that's what Liar Manga concocts in the first game- hooks you right in. It drifts you into the night in a small boat. So just lay there and do what's best: look at the stars... Now for the rebels including me: This is a game of wit ('lies'). There can only be so many gasp-moments with no violence included. To solve this problem i recommend to...

Characters: Nao Kanzaki- The writer's moral of the story. She is incredulously and unrelentingly kind. What the hay, just throw her in the mix. We needed a role model anyways. Ms. Nao truly has her own gravity. She directs this story into a =exciting one. She truly inspires Mr. Akiyama
Akiyama- He starts named as an 'ex-con' but what are his intentions? Does he want to swindle Nao? We learn he single-footedly destroyed a company that he didn't like. Scary. He will likely be the readers' moral- to kick ass... mentally of course.
Yokoya- Just as smart as Akiyama. He likes money, what more can I say? He pets down his mice as he devices stratagems. He easily sways his opponents, giving him an early economical lead. But who will win the Liar Game...
Art: Not an art critique but the words do synchronize with the Art.
Enjoyment: Don't force yourself to look for flaws and you'll like it more than I do.
