I had quite a few expectations when I decided to watch this movie. But I was not satisfied with how it turned out to be.
The animation was okay and the soundtrack was decent. But the character design lacks taste. Neither the protagonist nor the other characters leave a lasting impression.

Coming to the story, you would expect something interesting every time there's a time leap in a movie. But almost all the time leaps in this story were pretty uneventful except three times. This movie definitely failed in the aspect of "time travel". Now, the romance aspect isn't very redeeming either. I didn't realize ... that this was tagged as a romance movies until I came to MAL to mark it as completed. The romance in this anime is just the protagonist regretting what she did for a brief while.

Since this show has a rating of 8+ it was quite a let down since I expected something more

It's pretty messed up that drugging your partner without their consent is normalized.

Overall the story just feels down bad than anything. Not recommended

However the art style is decent and is worth looking into.

The first two chapter are also pretty decent.

I've seen more aggressive bl compared to this that makes it looks tame

... Plot:
So basically it's about two dudes making sweets. One doing french style western and the other Japanese. Sojiro, the one who makes western treat seeks out the latter thinking he would be a business rival. But alas that's the last thing he would be and the rest is history

I really enjoyed Made in Abyss season 1 and the movie. But this season was just a letdown. This is the second time I'm utterly disappointed by a sequel at least I was able to read the manga of Promised Neverland and sate myself. But I guess this time there is no redemption for me. I'll just spend the rest of my day watching Dragonball trying to forget that this season exists. At least in that reviving people made sense. Coming back to the review, Reviving Mitty made no sense at all, as did Belaf "cloning" Mitty. This part completely ruins Mitty's Euthanasia in the ... previous seasons

Slight spoilers
They cut out an incredible character called Yuugo. I'm afraid that the whole Goldy Pond part will be cut out. No, seriously, if this didn't hinder the story, then what would?
Also the Ratri clan soldiers in episode 4,4 of them died way too easily. The shelter raid was supposed to be very intense. It was a rushed in anime. They literally got killed by a no-brainer demon. I feel that this season is disappointing me, the fans as a whole.

The art was pretty good. Not bad 7/10 The sound were adequate, though I expected more. The first opening was dope though. 7/10

This was my first 2020 anime! And I felt happy I watched this first.

Story 9/10
The story was pretty logical and acceptable. The flow of the story was also great and the transition from episode was in an orderly manner. The pacing was all right but not perfect.
The story could have been more detailed so -1 for pacing.

Art 10/10
Art was excellent dope ass. The artist has made it realistic just like the anime required. The battle scenes were explosive and intense. Hats off to the artists. Each and every character got appearance that was meant for it. The design of Wang has added to vile ... nature and makes us hate him more

Sound 8/10
The opening and ending are absolutely awesome. I loved the use of violin in the opening. However the BGMs during the episodes were not that much memorable and I had to revisit the episode to remember it. -2 for that

Character 9/10
The protagonist, Kanamae's character was well built. At first his fear for the game dominates
him. Later he seems to have accepted the reality and playing along. Finally, after an incident, his feelings are mature and dire. Hatred for D-game burns inside him. His respect for life also impresses us
However, not all characters have been given enough screen time -1.

Enjoyment 10/10
Most the episodes were thrilling and thoroughly enjoyable.

This was a great anime 9/10

Story
The story was obviously good. It leaves the audience baffled until the last end. It leaves one at the tip of their seat. But the reason why I gave it 9 is that the story was a bit dragging at the beginning. It tells Mima's transition into a TV star more elaborately than it should.
The pacing is pretty fast at the second half

Art
It is a bit old movie. So we're in no position to complain about the art. That said, the art was not bad it was good actually, if you relate with the year in which it was produced. Mima did look ... pretty in the movie.

Sound
From what I experienced, the sound lacked a bit in intimidating the audience unlike a real thriller mystery should. It could've been better.

Character
The character development was really beautiful. The director had portrayed Mima's inner strife when she leaves POP and becomes a TV star especially when she realises that the producer is a pervert. The producer was made a character that earns our hate, looks realistic and similar to some real life directors and producer.

Enjoyment
I watched this at 0300 hrs IST and I thoroughly enjoyed it. If it had been other anime, I would've fallen asleep. But no. I didn't feel time passing as I watched this. I also enjoyed the ending. The ending wasn't like other depressing endings. It was a sweet ending.

Overall
Anyone looking for a mystery should definitely try this out.
