Very fun story.
The highlight of the story is its cute and comical style, in addition to the nonsense comedy that permeates the entire work. It's not surprising that nothing is explained and this is part of the resource that the manga uses to keep your attention. Complaining about this is a sign of poor reading and understanding of other writing resources that can be used and developed.
The focus here is not monsters, not even gore, but the cruelly innocent relationship between the two girls, which, let's say, is the basis for the entire "trash" comedy of the work.
...
As a work of horror, this manga is an excellent comedy. Don't be surprised if you chuckle here or there at some things that happen. The desire for a more serious or philosophical discussion about the girls' situation little by little is deconstructed, making everything strangely light, even when you analyze the cruelty of that situation.
The construction of the apocalyptic world at the end of the work, so full of mysteries, explains in part what does not need to be explained, but still leaves interesting gaps open that must be filled in by the reader himself.
