I came in to this anime expecting absolutely nothing, and I was right, there is nothing special about it. The series started and ended mediocre at best. The series became slightly bearable with the introduction and appearance of the Fairy Queen, but that didn't last long.
The MC (Earth) himself, despite being generic, is also a very unlikeable character. They attempted to make him into an "interesting" character by giving him interesting skills, have him use uncommon equipment, and have a whole lot of plot armor built around him.
Now, why is he a very unlikeable character? I guess mainly because of my bias towards the Fairy
...
Queen.
In all seriousness, I hated him mainly due to how he treated the Fairy Queen. Despite how the Fairy Queen saved him in multiple occasions, and how she treated him, Earth just pushes her away time after time, just because he couldn't care enough about the Fairy Queen and wanted to be a "lowkey, unsuspecting" everyday player, while at the same time, is enjoying all the benefits bestowed upon him by the Fairy Queen.
They also spent some 2/3 of the entire series building up the relationship between Earth and the Fairy Queen (albeit quite one-sided). And where they decided to go with this establishing relationship? Yep, that's right, straight into the trash chute, just so they can go full circle and go back to how it started - An everyday salaryman who wants to be "normal/unsuspecting" in a VRMMO game he plays on his spare time.
I'm gonna call it a 4/10, could've been lower if the other characters are just as boring as the MC
