Overall I thought this anime was decently fun! I reeeeally started to hate the main guy though, he acts so annoying to anyone but Mahoro. And the characters except for Arajin and Mahoro were silly and fun to watch. I felt so bad for Matakara the whole time I was watching, he’s so sweet and everyone disregards him :(

The animation and background music are great and the character designs have good variety!

I watched it a few months ago and the opening and ending still play in my head occasionally, they are SO GOOD!

Overall I would say this anime is fine, not amazing but not bad. ... If you’re wondering if you should watch it or not, go for it! It’s only 12 episodes haha, so it won’t take up too much of your time.

This is the first Ai Yazawa series I’ve watched! It’s a simple and cute OVA about a group of friends who are on the student council together who plan the school festival!

It may not be a unique story, but I’m not complaining, I love watching sweet stories, even if I’ve watched something similar before :) they make me want to fall in love!

The style and character designs are cute, the voice acting is fun too! Who doesn’t love a character with a pompadour who rides a motorcycle?

If you want a short and sweet story, why not watch this!

This is the adaptation Ranma needed in the first place. It has been almost EXACTLY accurate to the original manga.

People complaining that the original is better are only right in TWO aspects: music and art direction. Because other than those, the original constantly mischaracterizes characters, adds scenes that weren’t there(that change how the audience thinks characters feel about each other) and doesn’t even adapt the whole manga! Which HOPEFULLY the remake can do!

This remake really captured Rumiko’s late 80s to early 90s style as well as her crazy characters and wacky story arcs! The voice actors returning to their roles warmed my heart, and I’m ... so glad I get to see Ranma and Akane again, this time, portrayed more accurately! There’s not much more I can say besides that I love this series and I hope it continues and adapts the whole manga

One thing I wished the remake had is stronger colors, the ones they used are a little dull! I would have loved if they went with bright colors like the Urusei Yatsura remake or with the ones used in the original. I’m also not a fan of the purple shading they occasionally use in fight scenes.

If you want to see two silly idiots slowly fall for each other without realizing it, you should totally give this a watch! Like many Rumiko Takahashi stories, the overall story is about accepting a person for who they are, without needing to change them to be normal ♥️

This is literally one of my favorite shorts! I’ve watched it countless times! As a huge Rumiko Takahashi fan, seeing all of these characters interact with each other makes me so happy 😭 Also, getting to see them in a modern style is fun, and hearing all of the original voice actors as well as Kappei Yamaguchi interacting with himself through two different characters warms my heart! I love it all!

The only criticism I have is that they didn’t include Akane or Kyoko and Godai! But I still love it either way

I can only hope that one day there will be another one of these ... with her characters from Mao and Kyoukai no Rinne as well! And maybe some characters from her short stories too, a girl can dream!

These are fun to watch! About 30 seconds each, I think both can be found on YouTube. I’m fairly certain that these are promotional videos made to promote the manga before the anime was made! You can see the difference between art styles, one contains the early manga art style including Kagome with less spiky bangs and a more yellow-green uniform, as well as Inuyasha in a pink outfit instead of a dark red! While the other is closer to the anime color and style and includes Koga as well! The most striking is probably Sesshomaru looking younger with rounder eyes like he appears in ... his introductory chapter

If you like Inuyasha or Rumiko Takahashi, totally check these out! It only takes a minute :)

The reason I rated this a 4 was because I read the manga before watching the movie and I had high expectations. I LOVED the manga and the film did not do it justice. Characters come in too early, some characters are taken out, some are shown for a few seconds when they have major roles in the manga. I understand the AKIRA manga would be difficult to adapt into a single movie, but I was just disappointed.

Disregarding the manga, I think this movie is beautiful! The detailed animation, great voice acting, and funky soundtrack are all very cool.

I'm sure people who haven’t read the ... manga can enjoy this movie like it’s supposed to be enjoyed but I could not. If you’re reading this review to wonder if you should watch it, I highly recommend reading the manga first because it blows the movie out of the water!

If you don’t care about manga accuracy like I do, go ahead and watch it! I’m sure you’ll enjoy it :)

I absolutely hated this anime. I feel so bad for this poor girl because EVERYONE around her is awful. Kai not only abuses her but also sexually assaults her, it makes me SO uncomfortable to watch. She literally has nobody to support her if she were to fall, but she’s already at rock bottom. But of course, just because he shows her a BIT of care, she starts falling for him?? Be for real. If this was more than 2 episodes I would have dropped this.

Listen, I enjoy shows like Boys Over Flowers that have a similar rich boy poor girl trope because of the ... drama, but this is NOT it.

The only thing I liked about this show was how they drew the main girls eyes and the ending song.

You won’t miss out on anything if you skip watching this.

I really enjoy this manga. I think Rumiko was very creative with the different ways she incorporated the mermaid flesh, such as someone having diminished effects because they drank the blood of a mermaid rather than eating the flesh. Anyone who eats a part of a mermaid either ends up dead, deformed, or miserable, yet those who don’t understand the consequences still try to seek it out. There is no good outcome when it comes to mermaids, even if you survive after eating it.

Yuta is a strong willed man who knows he’s immortal and isn’t afraid to step into harms way to protect others. I ... enjoy the peeks into his past to let the readers understand how long he has been living and the events he’s had to live through. Mana is an out of touch and strong willed girl who doesn’t care about her own wellbeing when she knows Yuta is in danger. Even if she’s wrapped with barbed wire, she will try to find him since she has no one else she can trust. I enjoy her bluntness and her disregard for danger as well as her emotion when she thinks she will lose her only support.

My favorite chapters were against Masato, particularly the piano wire scene, they stuck with me! I think the injuries/gore are just enough to get her point across while not being over the top. I also enjoyed the open ending, especially what Yuta and Mana say. The ending doesn’t give the characters a conclusion but instead allows them to carry on, and you can imagine them continuing their journey and encountering many more dangers and tragedies.

I highly recommend this manga! And if you read it, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
