First review for a Manga but i felt i needed to as it was one that i had high hopes for...
i just finished reading this and saw that its not actually shoujo ai because the author said its not shoujo ai even tho its that on mal. (And i agree it should be a shoujo ai!)
I honestly did have high hopes for this series and i felt like the author had led us on at the very beginning with these girls that felt like they could have something more. (I mean i never act that flustered round a 'friend') i loved the beginning how
...
they met and how that chemistry started, the middle was also lovely and showed a nice story together with the salamander and frog, which i enjoyed. It then went downhill by the end when i think the author realised it was too 'yuri' and decided to change direction. I felt the end could have had more however it felt to me that it was rushed.
The art style is amazing and thats one thing that also made me pick up this series. It was well drawn and i loved the amount of detail that there was in each page. If it was made into an anime the way he drew the pages it would be a lovely anime to see.
The shoujo ai rambling annoyance:
(Slight spoilers but from early on chapters)
This author says this isnt shoujo ai However: in a chapter one of the mc's takes a picture of the other mc sleeping, she blushes when someone says shes going on a date with her, and she gets flustered around her a lot and thinks of her. Is it just me or is this author stupid? I mean most 'friendships' dont involve a friend taking pictures of their sleeping friend and blushing...or even getting flustered when going out with said friend. Kinda is a slap on the face when the author is trying to force you to see friendship when its clearly more than that.
This could have been an amazing series if the author just took a better route, heck made them get together after a year or two. Would of made a better ending than this rubbish end tbh. Still gave it a 7 as i did enjoy it however it would have got a 9 if it was more shoujo ai and a well better ending than just 'oh friends' i really did wish we saw them together...ah well. When i first read the first couple chapters i wanted this an anime but now i dont unless they change the ending. >_< this end really did make me not like this manga as much as i wish i could have. (And i know im being so shoujo ai pls but the beginning screamed shoujo ai)

Your Under Arrest! 16th Review
This series I picked up after a friend of mine told me to watch it and honestly I fell in love with it and I loved watching it however there are mild things that made me rate it lower than I wanted. I watched the first and second seasons generally close together yet when it came to the third season it didnt feel as as good as it was in the others and i felt like this one was the same jokes over and over.
The story itself is great and I loved every part of the police force and
...
seeing Natsumi and Miyuki working together to get peace on the streets. I loved how these two had a wonderful chemistry that kept on going throughout the seasons and drawing them together over and over. I wished i could see more of these two in action again and again and do wish there could be another season!
However there was also things that I disliked...firstly Yoriko's voice is way too whiney and annoying and it made me cringe everytime this woman had a scene or even spoke. And Secondly...Nakajima. Nakajima is a complete looser, coward and downright pushover that it started to get annoying the more times he shown up with his 'love' for Miyuki. I wished so badly that he would leave and Miyuki would realise what a looser this guy was as it made me feel like Miyuki could do better. I know others liked the love that these two had however to me it was downright annoying and unbearable!
The art style wasnt anything that 'stood out' and to me this was pretty plain in comparison to other anime however the way the comedy was made me still enjoy this anime to its fullest and you can still have a good time.
The characters to me in this was a bit of a good and bad thing. First you have Miyuki and Natsumi that grow together and become somewhat an unbreakable team. However there isnt as much development with these two MCs as its generally the same thing over and over again. Aoi was a character I enjoyed as they protayed his character rather well and I actually liked how they did his design. Yoriko was just a whiney character that I honestly started to give up on and wanted out the show since the end of season 1, she was useless and just a cringe to my ears. Same for Nakajima, this guy was just a pathetic looser that just was there for a 'love' interest for Miyuki however he was such a baby I wished he left and a new better stronger love interest came along. (Or even love between the two MCs!). There was also two characters, the highschooler that turned into police officer however she was transferred and i had hoped she stayed and had more development, and you also had Natsumi's love which seemed to have disappeared somepoint with noone else to take the spot again. The characters dont really change that much and you always see the same ones popping up throughout the series. Which sometimes was annoying having to watch a whole episode to do with 'Strikeman', 'Moped Mama' or 'Nakajima's Pathetic Love' again. The characters could have been better done with newer ones coming into the season and a mix up of the old cast.
I'd definitely recommend this anime to people that love Police anime and in general Comedy while working on a job. However I would keep in mind that not much of the characters change and a lot of the same scenes will play out throughout. I was glad I watched this series from start to finish and wish there was more. (tho i still wish Nakajima would leave and Yoriko's voice get better) :P
(P.S. Would have loved this to be a Shoujo Ai with the Main Characters as IMO would have been a better Love development! ^^)

Starting up Reviews again: my 15th - Alice to Zouroku
When I started watching this series I didn't really know what to expect however the more episodes that came out the more I started to enjoy this series. I loved the powers and the whole story of what happens to the people with powers however it lacked a lot of detail.
The plot of this show...there wasn't really a solid plot, was more of a semi-slice of life anime of a girls everyday life with a new family...with the exception that she just has powers! I couldn't really find a solid plot at all however it
...
still was a good anime at the end and I still had a lot of enjoyment watching this series. I suppose you could say that there was two plots to this anime: the first focusing on Sana and what she has to do in order to get away from her past and become who she wants to be and the second being of the 'witch'. The second Plot is more of this 'Witch' finding herself when she has gotten lost and Sana comes into play and tries to 'save' this witch from herself.
What about the characters? I actually really enjoyed a lot of these characters, they all had unique details of one another and you could see the different personalities of each. I loved the last few episodes when the 'witch' and her friend arrived as it sort of shown more different types of characters within the anime. Sana is the main Protagonist and you can see her development the most as she really has nothing at the beginning, she knows hardly anything however as the story progresses she develops 'oneself' and shows us more of who she is becoming.
The Animation of this anime was unique and I actually liked it, it was nice and colourful in parts and it wasn't too in your face. Was a nice smooth animation that sort of blended together in frames. The sound was also lovely and very nice throughout the series, it put you on edge when there was something happening and it also calmed you in the nice slow scenes which gave you more feeling throughout.
I really liked this series and would enjoy a second season. I really enjoyed watching this and I loved the different types of characters that was displayed throughout. I really did enjoy the different crazy plots that did come up with what Sana kept doing with her powers. My favourite part was near the end with the 'witch' plot where it shown the anime in a new 'dark-themed' way with what some characters had to go through.
Would recommend this to people that prefer Slice of Life as it is really just a Slice of Life with the added Powers. Would definitely watch this series again. A lot of the characters can become liked and the story itself can still be good with what happens towards the end of the series.

The Fourteenth review will look at another movie, Called Mononoke Hime.
A lot of people have herd about Mononoke Hime and to me they always said that it was great and that it was amazing and so forth. I admit that I actually did enjoy Mononoke Hime quite a bit however.....there's one thing about it all that really bugs me. Why is it called Mononoke Hime?
Ok I get it the front cover is the girl and a wolf...but what was the story actually about...a little boy...so why Mononoke Hime? This is MY Opinion but the title of the film ruined what I really expected.
...
I thought at first it would be about this amazing girl that looks like she could be raised by wolves or lives with wolves but thats only part of it, it's actually based around this little boy and the girl is rarely in the scenes!! (MY opinion)
Apart from the movie being names such a non-sense name, I personally liked part of the movie. I felt like the Art was beautiful and it really came out in certain scenes, the way the 'Gods' where shown was very lively and vivid in the art and this made them stand out and shine (Literally). The sound is also my favourite in the movie, it made the scenes come to life and make you enjoy watching that clip of the movie, it gives you that real feeling of adventure. You knew when you music changed something would happen...good or bad?...you didn't know, but the music was just lovely.
The characters (apart from the fact it's not actually based on the girl) was still generally well developed. This boy that goes off and finds himself in a town of development. This kid is well developed as well the story develops further he develops more and starts to understand more of himself and others. There is also a lot more character development within some people in the movie and these developments you can see are slowly advancing, even changing who the person is. Mononoke Hime was one of the best developments in the film, as she keeps to only herself but develops further by the end of the movie.
Overall this film I did actually enjoy but still hate the fact that I was mislead from the title thinking it would be about the girl rather than a boy. Some scenes was really well done and stuck out from the movie as the pace changed and developed and some scenes was so nice and calming you had a feel for what was happening.
I would recommend this to anyone that likes a war-like old story based feeling with gods in it. It was well produced and the music is lovely, just don't expect to see a lot of Mononoke Hime.

My Thirteenth Review, This is a Short-Movie called Hal.
When I herd about Hal it was off another MAL's Profile, and after reading the details about the anime I thought that it would be fairly good, but honestly what did I get? A messed up story in my opinion.
It's said to be that a Robot turns into a guy in order to save her feelings or whatnot, however it starts off great and the story is smooth, then it takes a turn for the worse and your like....what? Now you've lost me. To me it was confusing once this turn took place and it
...
didn't make sense, made the movie all weird like.
Apart from the plot being all crazy and weird, the character development in my eyes was really nice, pretty much two people falling for each other again in a romance. Hal was nicely done, the way he acted was great and funny, his character development you could see throughout the movie which was interesting as a Robot. and then the girl...you rarely see her personality at the start but once she 'Comes out of the Shell' she develops more into a being. However...it's not over.
My favourite of this series was honestly the music and the art, the music was nice a peaceful and enjoyable in part. The music actually made you feel in the era and feel like you understood the scene. The art another personal favourite, I liked how they did the art work and the colours, all the scenes was well worked on to make it stand out and give it that real feeling. The art really was better than I thought it would be and this makes it to me a whole lot worth it watching this anime even if the story isn't great. The vivid colours used in scenes and the way they'll nicely tone into a peaceful art colour rather than in your face, was pure brilliant.
I gave this an overall 6 as I really didn't like much of the plot and the character development was ok but not that great with the 'twist' that is involved while watching this movie. I did however enjoy it a little bit with the music and the lovely art that was displayed through out.
If your into Romance between a human and a bot with a crazy whacky twist then this would be the one for you, I gambled and sadly this wasn't one of my favourites but hey....it could be yours! I'd say to give it a try, what can half you watching a 1hour movie to knock off your list? You could even enjoy it more than I! Though the art in itself is beautiful.

Twelfth Review - Zankyou no Terror (Or Terror in Resonance in English)
Wow, Just wow, I don't even know where to begin, I have just finished this series and I had to write a review straight afterwards because of the shock I am in. This series really hits you at the end, or in my opinion it did to me.
So What is Terror in Resonance, well it's about two boys that are called Sphinx, and you follow these boys through their terror acts, which at first is a big mystery of why they are doing this, however they find a girl, Lisa and she
...
somehow gets involved in all this. I found the story quite strange at first, and was also a little confused about it. I thought it was just going to be about terrorists wanting their own way, oh how wrong was I?
The story in my opinion was quite slow at first and made you ask why you was watching this series, however the more you watched the more I felt like I wanted to know why these kids were doing what they were doing. It never really gives you any key ideas of what happened to these two lads, but gives flashes which helps to keep you engaged into knowing the mystery of these two Protagonists. It also keeps you wondering what Lisa has to do with the plot and what will happen to her, she has no place to call her own and these two lads take her in even though what they do is wrong.
The art was really good to me, I liked how they did the characters and the way they designed the scenes. A lot of scenes were colourful and was shown to be quite bright even amongst all that was happening. the sound was really good as well, I found that a lot of instrumental music went well with the clips and my favourite had to be at the end of the series, which really made me feel.
Character development was well hidden at first with the two boy protagonists, they were portrayed as the bad guys and it only gave you clips of who they were. It didn't give much story on these two at all until the series progressed and more of what happened to them comes to light, however you still don't know the real truth until near the end of the series were it all gets pieced together. The girl protagonist was developed a lot quicker in order to piece her together with the two boy protagonists. She was well thought of in order to make her be with the two lads and why her role was important to them in the story.
I personally didn't enjoy this at first but as the story progressed I wanted to know what had happened with these two boys and what the girls role in all of this was. I was glad that I finished this series and to me it was really well in the end. It actually gave me really bad feels in the end and I actually stopped what I was doing to watch the ending. It was a shock to me what happened however in my opinion the ending of this series was one of it's strong points and made me like it a lot. I didn't actually knew the ending was coming and when it did I really felt it.
If your into slow starting anime and want one with a nice mysterious element to the characters I would suggest you give this a try. At first it could be boring but as the story progresses it does pick up and it will keep you on edge of wanting to know these characters. To me this is one of my favourites now.

Eleventh Review....Aoharu x Kikanjuu!
This series was introduced to me by a good friend of mine, she knew the type of anime that I am into so she suggested I watch this one. About a Girl pretending to be a Boy in order to be on a Shooting Team - Toy Gun Gun.
At first I was a bit iffy in the idea that the girl pretends to be a boy, however I watched the first episode together with my friend and I absolutely loved it. I loved the fact that Hotaru (The Main Character) still has her friend and it shows us a bit
...
of her everyday life before getting straight into the main event.
The story was well designed, about a tournament between Gun Shooting (Pretty much BB Pellets) and this team that Hotaru finds herself in. I really got into the story and enjoyed the series a lot, once I had watched a few more episodes I was really finding myself amused. The more the story picks up the more you are wanting to understand what had happened with Team Toy Gun Gun before Hotaru joined. It has it's serious elements but the series also has it's funny elements to keep you awake and not bored.
The Art was a favourite of mine, it was well developed and well put together, especially within the fights. The way that they produced the battlegrounds was also a nice sight and it shown a lot of detail that had went in to the story board of the scenes. Sound was also a good element, they had a nice range of instrumental music throughout and the opening was very well played. The sound made more of the battles come to life and gets you really into it and picks your interests up as the fight carries on, puttign you on edge.
The character development was very well introduced into this show, for Hotaru being the main character she was introduced straight away as one of these Tom Boys that like to protect the 'Princesses' and this made the main character even more enjoyable to watch. The next two main characters were Masamune and Tooru, these characters to me looked like a very nice pair that worked well together, they were a combined team of specialist tactics and this made them perform together a well developed character point. There is much unknown about these characters but as the story goes on the truth is unraveled and it slowly reveals their past and how it all ties together with the tournament.
I honestly didn't think I'd enjoy this as much as I have and I am proud to say that now having completed this it is one of my favourites. It was very enjoyable to watch and it was also at some points emotional. It keeps you hooked into the series in order to find out what happens and what the end outcome is. I actually was quite happy with how the anime turned out and how well it was put together, I loved the idea and concept of a Gun Battle and the character developments made this even more interesting to carry on watching.
P.S. This could totally be turned into a Yuri/Yaoi haha!
~ Canaan
*Spoiler*
Was upset that at the end of the series she still never mentioned that she is a she and not actually a he, so hoping for a second season at least for a follow up.

Tenth Review - Kekkai Sensen! (or Blood Blockade Battlefront)
This was a anime that looked pretty good to begin with - a city that exists with human and monsters together. The story revolving around this one lad with these cool looking eyes.
At first it looked more like a comedy rather than a serious anime yet the more you watched it and let the story unfold you see that this is actually a well structured anime that has serious elements but also bonds together with humour in some areas.
The story in my opinion at first was a bit rough round the edges and didn't take
...
a major step in any direction, it was about this one kid and his awesome looking eyes but it was jumping from what the story really meant, was it his sister? the monsters? the magic? what? The story didn't really let you know what it's main focus was but slowly unravelled during the series. In all though the story was good in the end and how they portrayed the series to get to the story point was good.
The art was my favourite in this anime, the art was magnificently done and was shown to be one of the key elements of Kekkai Sensen. When the opening picks up you can see the amount of design it took with the art and as the series goes on the art style is always tied together nicely, not one piece of scene was wasted on poor quality. If it's an anime where you love to watch them for art then this is one of them ones to watch.
The characters during the series become very likeable, my favourite being the 'Invisible Wolf' Chain. The backgrounds of a few of the characters ain't picked up in the anime as much as the manga however you can still see their traits and characteristics. I love how it did show us the two main character stories of the main focusing characters though so that you wasn't confused, this was nicely done.
All in all I actually liked Kekkai Sensen, it was a mix of ordinary meets the weird in a city where two have to coexist and live alongside each other in everyday life. It made me actually laugh in some eps when just some random rubbish will happen yet it provides you with more character development and story development in some ways.
This is one of my favourites and I recommend it to anyone with a likeable side to the random, funny and magical elements to an anime.

Ninth review...and where the hell do I even begin with this anime.
Ok, so it says 'Harem' in the description but it's far from it, all the other stuff in the description should just be removed and replaced with Full on Romance 10000000 girls vs 1 boy. 'Cuz all the show is really about is every girl getting one guy.
I thought 'Hey, a program about people using Mecha robot things and fighting in tournaments sounds pretty cool' So I started watching this anime thinking that I would enjoy it, honestly in some areas I did, and admittedly some areas even made me laugh. However
...
most the show was just all about girls loving a darn boy that's so stupid to not even realize anything.
I gave this a overall 6 as the art style is very nice and how they did the fighting and the Mecha suits actually looked nice, the sound was decent and I did enjoy some areas of the anime. As for the story it was well thought of with the IS suits and the academy, however the story about the Harem areas where too overpowering for the anime and it wasn't at all decent in my opinion. Heck, even the character development was poor because of all the 'I have to love this one guy that's the only guy in my class' scenario.
Sorry for pretty much all the hate, but this show could have been so much better if it stuck to it's original concept of the IS suits and that's it. Please no haters - this is MY opinion, Thank you.

Eighth Review - Free!
What do I even say about this anime? well at first I wasn't so keen to pick it up and watch. Boys in swimsuits swimming and all, not really my style. However I saw that it was getting pretty good comments and reviews, heck even my friends were saying it was good, so here I was watching it - and hell I am so glad I did.
At first I was just thinking it was going to be about a group of boys showing there abs off to girls, and how wrong was I. It starts with the 4 boys and then
...
some plot like twist that makes you want to know what happened with this group, it gives you a reason to want to watch on. it doesn't however stop there, it goes on to the now grown up a bit boys creating this club.
I must admit I found the first part dull and boring, like it was dragging on, but the second part of the anime drags you in and keeps you wanting more, keeps you wanting to find out what happens with the group and what had happened previously. The plot was good though in the end and it was a mystery that wanted to keep you knowing and wanting to find out more.
These characters where actually well designed and thought off, Haru in particular with his 'cold-like' attitude but he still loves some things (Like Mackerel!) The team of boys really was thought well and the designers made the team bond together with there different personalities but great characteristics that each one blended together with.
The art style - WOW! I was actually amazed at the art of this anime, being water it's pretty hard to animate properly however the developers did a great job of it. when they jump in the pool and the water splashes, when they are swimming and the camera is below, the way they made the water look and react. I was really shocked to see that the art style was really good, definitely one of the best I've seen.
So to conclude, this anime turned out to be good, I actually enjoyed it and was into it, I actually finished it off in one day (and I was watching another anime!) It wasn't my type of anime yet I watched it and enjoyed it, it def goes to show that sometimes even anime you might not think you like actually pulls you in and gets you interested. Great to see an anime that is not spoiled with fan service.
