Preliminary (8/? chp)
The best way I can describe this is "A silent voice" meets "From now on we begin ethics."

It's about this girl who's somewhat deaf and her friend and their relationship as they spend more time together and learn about each other.

What I like about this manga is that it does such a good job of showing the hardships of being deaf while also talking about how we could improve on that. It's not just a plot device to make us feel sorry for the lead, it's just a way of saying "that's the kind of life she lives."

The cast of characters is very likable and ...

This is such good writing, like, man...

It's about this badass lady who wants to teach this nerdy boy how to fight in a school of mixed martial arts.

It starts out sorta generic but as the story continues it just gets better and better. These characters are so likable and feel so real, and the action is always so intense and dynamic, and the dialogue is just so polished. people just say what they need to say without too much meandering so you can quickly get their motivations and personalities.

You love the characters you are meant to love and hate the characters you are meant to ...

Spoiler
This might be one of the biggest missed opportunities I've seen for a premise in a while.

The story is about these two kids, a boy and a girl, who get their lives destroyed after one of them gets sexually assaulted by one of their teachers and end up killing him by accident.

From that alone, you would go "Whoa! That's fascinating! Imagine all the complex questions we could take from that! Should they feel bad about killing someone? Should they feel happy for getting rid of a criminal? Is the assaulted kid gonna be okay? Where is this gonna go??"

The answer is, freaking nowhere...

(spoilers)

Instead of trying ...

Random Chat (Manga) add
Preliminary (160/351 chp)
This is one of my favorite stories.

It's about this boy that has an app that allows him to chat with a girl from his class without her knowing it's him and all the good and bad (mostly bad) things that come from it.

There are a lot of interesting themes being tackled, talked about, and explored in this series. Depression, stalking, obsession, entitlement, self-worth, misinformation, respect, pressure, and many more.

Each arc talks about themes regarding how people behave and think and each of them is handled super well.

The thing I like the most is how this isn't a story where the world is always on the ...

Typical anime story about human kid joining with some kind of monster in a partner system where they battle other kids with monsters to decide who will be the kind of monsters.
The difference in this one is that instead of monsters, they use young kids, which allows the partners to develop a better connection with each other, like they were older siblings and younger siblings.
The action is great. All fights are based on the monster kids using magic spells that are unique to them. Each one has different magic and each magic has tons of spells, so it creates fights that never feel repetitive or ...

Grand Blue (Manga) add
Preliminary (65/? chp)
Really funny story about a teenager who joined the diving club and starts to learn the joys of the world underwater.
Nah, just kidding. This premise is just a plot-point that comes up whenever the manga needs a story to follow.
The real charm of this book is its comedy. These characters are all likable and a ton of fun to follow. The overly detailed artwork brings a tone of seriousness to the story that just makes all the jokes feel even more dramatic.
I recommend reading the first three of four chapters and seeing if the humor appeals to your taste.
