Well since there has yet to have been a review written about this I guess I'll take a shot at it.

Story:
all three of the stories are written by one of the most lauded horror writers of all time, H.P Lovecraft. So the stories are automatically good, well the source material is atleast. As a result of the very, very, VERY limited animation it makes it hard sometimes to follow the story, and for someone who has never read anything by Lovecraft it may not be very enjoyable. I give the story 9/10 because they are based off of masterpieces (though I may be biased)

Redline (Anime) add
Like many others said, you don't watch Redline to be captivated by some intriguing plot. You watch Redline to see some kick-ass animation, and as long as you keep that in your mind it's a very enjoyable movie.
Within the first 5 minutes of the movie I was wowed by how impressive the animation, art, and backgrounds were. Right off the bat I was reminded of works like Afro Samurai or Tekkonkinkreet, both "animation porn", if you will. Redline isn't trying to be a deep or intelligent movie, no, it's supposed to amaze you visually and it does that perfectly.

Sand Land (Manga) add
Alright, this is my first review so excuse me if it sucks. Anyways, Sandland is a short manga written and drawn by Dragon Ball Z creator Akira Toryima. With that said you can clearly tell because his unique art style is obviously throughout the story. Some people don't like his style, some people do. I for one enjoy it. Though it's a quick read Toryima really fleshes out this whole post-apocalyptic world (which I love) that has character of it's own. Sure there's obviously cliche's but they blend so easily with the unique parts of the story that I hardly noticed ...
