The story is an implementation of the zero to hero trope, but not a very satisfying one. All of the characters are very superficial and their reasonings don't make total sense. (though, this is all very common for this genre)
Some parts were fun. There is nudity and sexual references, but you'd have to try really hard to goon to this.
The art is one positive point for this: it is pretty decent, and fits the genre pretty well. As a lay person on the matters of art, it was adequate.
Is it good? Not really. Is it fun? It has its moments. Should you read it? Maybe,
...
if you have the means and the few hours to spare.

THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS
The story is fantastic. The love triangle (or square?) is incredible, and the way it gets you involved is breathtaking. The characters are almost all very interesting, and from chapter 1 to 52 you basically keep yearning for more. I read the whole thing in a day, over the course of 7 or so hours, and I wasn't bored not even one second.
That being said...
What the FUCK was this ending? I seriously can't stress a worse ending for a manga. All the building up of their relationship as well as the friendship between Taichi and Tuoma just to trash it in four
...
fucking sentences? And the university plot was basically just flavor since it didn't mean shit in the end?
I can't even put into words the disgust I felt seeing Futaba with her new husband. I felt like I was being stabbed in the heart. Of course, while you're reading the previous chapters you have an idea that this might happen, but it made no fucking sense. The story is SPECIFIC on how they are BEST FRIENDS FOREVER. And how Taichi really loves Futaba. Who would consider an ending like this for the manga? Who in their sane mind would do this? Why? This is the equivalent of emotional terrorism. And I swear I am not even exaggerating.
I love the Touma character. If this were an alternative ending, I would think it is fine. BUT IT IS NOT. This is the real deal. This is the official ending.
I don't know how there aren't more people angry over this.

Very underrated. The art can be intimidating to people who don't know what it's about, and keep them from watching the anime.
The theme is something I never thought I'd enjoy (it's about working on a bookstore?) but the way it is presented is great. Although initially the art made me a little anxious, in the end I believe it was a plus, and also made it very easy to associate the characters. The comedy transmitted through a spooky skeleton was also much more smooth than I would have otherwise thought.
It is very interesting and funny, and also kinda informative. The 140 or so minutes are
...
very much worth it.

Re:Zero was enjoyable in a way many praised titles that I've watched couldn't even get close.
The world is fantastic, creative and very entertaining. The story was confusing at times, but it wasn't long until I was back with its pace. Some of the MC's decisions frustrated me, but in the end it all came to light. Those two factors made me realize how different storytelling is in the West, but they didn't reduce the quality of the story as a whole. The romantic couple that came of it wasn't the one I wanted. I'd give an arm just to see
...
a romance between Best Girl™ and the MC, but it won't ever happen. Still, it would feel unfair to give the Story anything short of a 10.
Although I don't particularly pay attention to the art, it wasn't bad in any way. Sometimes some of the 3Dish animations felt out of place in 2D backgrounds, but that was not a concern. In this season (2018 Fall) I see many works that give me the same feeling, so I assume it is common. Art deserves a 9.
I liked the OPs and EPs a lot. The broken japanese pronunciation of English always gives me an unintended chuckle. As for the anime, no soundtracks felt out of place, and some of the drama background pieces will haunt me for the rest of my days. Sound deserves a 10.
Now, some spoilers. You've been warned. --------------------------------------------------------------
The story did not explain why the Witch of Envy was connected to the MC so much. I wish the anime had explained that, but I guess it'll (hopefully) happen in the sequel.
Only one character felt lacking to me. The anime tried to give it some personality, but I couldn't grasp it. Emilia. I have so many questions about her, such as: Who are her parents? Her backstory? What did she do before she became a candidate? Along with some others.
For that, I give the Characters a 9.
For that, the anime gets an overall of 10. It is a great work and I recommend it to anybody interested in the genre.

***NO SPOILERS HERE***
Eromanga-sensei definitely deserves more love. While not an absolutely incredible anime or unique concept, it is quite entertaining - in quite some time, since I watched SAO, I found myself waiting eagerly for a new episode, even when I couldn't explain exactly why I like it so much.
I'll separate this in parts:
Story (7/10) - Many people complain about this anime merely because of the theme (incest? even though it's not really incestuous?) however I find the story very charming. I have some criticism on some areas though - like many harems, all the characters are inexplicably attracted to the protagonist, which has
...
no outstanding personality (i.e. the script writing makes it seem that Masamune blinds himself to avoid situations, in an attempt to create comical relief, but weakening the chances of anybody bonding with the character in the process).
Art (8/10) - The art is pretty good. For an anime about artists and story-writers, it does it's job very well. It's not outstanding - but it's very good. I'm not an art specialist in any way, but the anime's artstyle was easy and appealing for my eyes.
Sound (9/10) - I loved the intro song, and I have no complaints about the sound. There isn't much to talk about this one.
Character (7/10) - As I stated in Story, the main character is retarded, which is common for harems. The contrast of the personalities between the three main female characters (Sagiri, Elf and Muramasa) makes up much about the protagonist's flaws, and allows the viewer to bond with them.
Side note: Why are the Oreimo characters listed in this anime when they appear for 5 seconds? lul
Enjoyment (10/10) - I'm a little bit biased in this one. This is my favorite genre, and I had a lot of fun watching Eromanga-sensei. I recommend it to everybody reading this review, it's worth your while.
