...then you might like Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei add

In both anime the main character is related to military operations and uses that expertise within their school be it with comedy (Full Metal Panic) or to be badass (Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei). Even though Full Metal Panic mixes in comedy, both animes have a strong cool main character who is dependable when it matters. -If you enjoy one, you will very likely enjoy the other. Differences are that Full Metal Panic is a mecha whereas Mahouka has magic but portrays it in a scientific way. Full metal Panic has a more realistic theme of war (if you negate the mecha) and Mahouka is the prettier anime with more colours and is leaned more towards fantasy.

...then you might like Koutetsujou no Kabaneri add

Both have apocalyptic monsters who eat humans and the main characters have ways to defeat them. In both anime humans are reduced to living in fortified areas. The main character in both is very determined to defeat the monsters because of past trauma. If you like one of the anime its likely you'll like the other.

If you liked Madan no Ou to Vanadis add

...then you might like Akatsuki no Yona add

Main character uses bow and arrow Main character's allies have unique powers Both are about defeating corrupt royalty/government Both are set in medieval times Other than that they're quite different If you like one it's not likely you'll like the other This recommendation is pointless
