The Demon Lord is reborn as a typical nobody has managed to worm its way into becoming my least favorite anime of all time. I'm actually impressed by that achievement and I've watched plenty of degenerate trash before, so that says a lot. It took me over a year to finish this series because after watching one episode I would need a mental break I will try my best not to repeat what everyone else have already said, but seeing how many reviews there are, that most likely will seem impossible. I will also be avoiding spoilers.
Story: Actually had a good premise and I was
...
interested because of how the first three episodes presented themselves. Ard has some regrets from his past life as Demon Lord and chooses to reincarnate. The premise it gives you is that all he wants to do is make friends and not only have subjects. You truly learn why he has this desire on a deeper level later, but even I wouldn't say it's worth it. I think the story really dropped the ball because the pacing was all over the place. Ard is also a pretty confusing character in regards to his goals, but I'll get to that in the character section of my review. That being said, I really did like the premise of what I thought it was going to be, but upon arrival it was just ass.
Art: I guess the quality was fine, but I didn't really fancy it. I just think it's too generic and I didn't really jive with the character designs.
Sound: It was okay, I can't even properly judge the sound because everything else in this series just sucks so much. I can't tell if it's mediocre or bad. I'll go with hidden option: forgettable.
Characters: This is my biggest gripe with the series. The characters are all either unlikable or written poorly. Ard is just plain boring. I don't like that he states, multiple times, that he wants to go unnoticed, but consistently takes action in a way that will bring attention to his way. I feel I would care more of his backstory if he was compelling in anyway, but his lack of personality makes it impossible for that to be the case. He was also kind of a dick to, ironically the best character of the show, Eraldo for no reason on episode 7. Ireena was so cool in episode 1 and sucked the rest after that. She has no aspirations or goal as a support character; even Ginny, the character who sucks as much, at the very least has a goal. Even if that goal is as stupid as starting a harem for Ard. Now technically her goal is to become a better version of herself, but we don't see any of that and her development, or lack thereof, is written very poorly. Now let me actually explain why Eraldo is the best character in the show and why that also pisses me off. Eraldo is the bully character we meet early on who has Ginny as an attendant and treats her like garbage. After he has a humiliating defeat against Ard, he disappears from the ether, but returns in episode 7. His look and personality are completely different, as he is now humbled and actually sees things in a different light. We get a backstory on why he treated Ginny the way he did and it was actually written very well. It was written so well that it actually made the show worse. It gives you a glimpse of what this show could have been if the writer actually gave a damn about the characters.
Enjoyment: I hated this series and I don't think I will ever find a series that will make me feel the same way ever again. I make it a mission in my personal life to tell people to stay away from this show.
Overall: Don't watch this show if you're hoping for a good time. This isn't even a good show to watch if you want to watch a bad show for fun. There are better bad shows you could watch instead of this one and it'll be far more worth it. I would only advise you to watch this series if you want to know what bad writing is.

Story: A true masterpiece. The writing is very cohesive and understandable. This manga is great regardless if you loved or hated the anime adaptation. I actually advise that you watch the anime first, read the manga, then watch the anime again because it will all come full circle; which an anime is suppose to do regardless. I wish I picked up the manga much earlier in my life rather than recent years then I could answer confidently that this is my favorite series of all time. It's a story that successfully answers all of your questions, but leaving more questions, but not in regard to
...
plot holes, but just out of pure curiosity. The concept of the series is very interesting and fresh. It disguises itself as just another mecha anime, but that is just the surface of the ocean you are witnessing. The story is more of a nod onto the effects of different types of upbringings; such as neglect, loss, abuse, etc. The story itself is psychological rather than mecha, so be prepared for that heading in.
Art: I'm not sure why, but the art style is very nostalgic. It's familiar, but also unique to it. The angels look both angelic and hellish. The characters also have iconic designs which is easily recognizable to everyone. New anime fans and old all recognize Asuka Langley and Rei Ayanami. Everyone recognizes the Evangelions. This manga just knew what it was doing when designing the cast.
Character: I will admit, at first, you will hate Shinji Ikari, but as time goes on, you won't. All of the characters are awesome in my opinion. Their psyche is what keeps me hooked to them. Shinji and Asuka both want to be loved, but both struggle expressing themselves and for different reasons. Shinji is timid and don't know how to understand his feelings while Asuka is just tsun af. Katsuragi struggles with knowing if what she's doing is the right thing. Rei starts to develop feelings as time goes on and struggles with undestanding them as a whole (she's a Kuudere). This manga will have you seeking and wanting to learn more of each character.
Enjoyment: I enjoyed this manga very much. The first time I read it, I mistakenly read it to fast and it was already over. A part of me which he series was longer and had kept going on, but all things must come to an end and I'm happy this series hasn't been ruined.
Overall: Definitely give this a read if you're into psychological thriller stuff. Yes, there's action, romance, and mecha stuff, but it's not the focus. The stuff there is good, but just don't have high expectations going into it in that regard.

Story: What story? I mean, it could've had one, but it decided to say screw it! We're here for one thing and one thing only: Borderline hentai! I want to hate on the story, but it's not there in order for me to hate on. It really should've just been made into a hentai then I wouldn't be so... anal about it.
Art: The only positive thing about it because the girls were cute and it's not like the quality of the art style diminished. I'm now theorizing that this is where the budget of the series went to strictly.
Sound: Yeah, nothing like hearing this
...
degenerate trash in my ear. I had to watch this with headphones on... I never felt the need to watch an "anime" with headphones on and I've watched Kiss x sis and To love-ru before.
Characters: Hate them all, especially the MC. He has no likeable traits. I can't even do my "nice guy" joke that I usually do in my reviews involving harem protagonists because he's not a nice dude. He's not even a loveable asshole. He's pretty predatorial, even when trying to preach the "morals" of society. To put it simple, dude is a loser and deserves to go to jail for many reasons.
Enjoyment: I enjoyed this just as much women enjoy their periods. I enjoyed this just as much the Jews enjoyed the holocaust. I enjoyed this just as much as my ancestors enjoyed slavery.
Overall: Don't watch this. For the love God... please don't. I've never felt shame from watching an anime and I've seen Boku no pico. The rating of this show is way too high for how terrible it is. Just add it to your list of things you've dropped and rank it a 1/10 because that is what it truly deserves. This is my shortest review because I did not want to dissect this show piece by piece. This show isn't worthy of a lengthy review from anyone.

Story: Mountain bumpkin, Yoichi Karasuma ,moves into the city and has to adjust. First couple of episodes were actually fun and enjoyable, but after that, this show just got significantly worse. Even though the story sounds unique it's just your generic ecchi harem anime and that's what makes it suck. I say this because it had potential based of the premise, but decided to just pull the same harem crap we were oversaturated with in the early 2000s. It's a show that could have been cool, but changed its mind immediately. Now this show could of course remained being a harem if it so desired,
...
the issue is the lack of story. You sent the main character to his new location for a reason, so make that reason apparent instead of making it the background activity. The story also sucks because the characters suck too (more on that in the character section).
Art: Just like the story, it's generic and bland. It's not bad, but it aims to just get the job done and that's all. It's as if what we're watching is the draft of what's to come, but they thought "meh... good enough". The "action" scenes are also just plain boring and repetitive. I'm positive that this samurai only has one to two move-sets in his repertoire because that's all he uses. I also have a hard time believing that the four sisters, Ibuki, Ayame, Chihaya, and Kagome, are related at all. I know it's anime, but I'm a fan of characters that are siblings to at least look alike in some way. What genetic pool births a brunette, a blonde, a green haired, and blue haired children? That kind of detail in anime has always bothered me when it comes to siblings.
Sound/Music: Starting with the opening and ending theme: They are boring and forgettable. I actually had to go look it up and listened to it just in case if this series had a hidden gem and I was disappointed. I now regret looking it because it was just meh, which I guess matches the show completely in retrospect. I'm now happy that this show doesn't have a great opening theme song because it would have been wasted on hot garbage. The soundtrack overall was just generic. I don't even know if that's a good thing or not at this point. I can't tell if the soundtrack is only good because everything else just sucks or if it's bad just like everything anymore.
Characters: They all suck and when I say they all suck, I mean literally everyone in this series. Yoichi is just your boring, generic, harem protagonist. Guess why these girls like him? Because he's a nice guy and you know why he's a nice guy? Because you're a nice guy. Of course that means he's dense to other girl's feelings. I seriously have no clue why any of the girls like him. Yeah, he says sweet things every once in awhile, but they are by no means panty droppers. The weirdest part about this harem is there's literally nothing you can look at and go "Oh okay, that's when she fell for this schmuck and this is why". Ibuki is the eldest sister and she digs Yoichi the moment he exists in her life. Dead ass fam. There's not even any build up to it, she just likes this dude and I'm going to have to go with the shallow route with this one and presume it's because he's handsome/cute. There's literally nothing with her. Ayame is my favorite because she's tsun af, that being said she also sucks. She never progresses with her interest for the MC which I do not know what she sees in him other than "Dude is nice", but she's one of those characters in the harem that you can tell is not going to succeed whatsoever, but she has the most moments for some reason. Now you might be asking me "How does she have the most moments, but not progress with the MC?" Good question dear sir, but it seems every time a moment occurs between these two, that moment is deleted moving onto the next episode. Chihaya was a waste of space of character. She adds nothing to the story and don't even know why she's here. She's not even in on the harem really, but she's here alright. Kagome is also a waste of space, which is a shame because I love little sisters in anime (They make my heart warm and fuzzy). The only character I managed to somewhat care about because they have character development and I believe that's really cool is Ryou Washizu. He acts as a rival to the MC for Ibuki's affection, fails, joins the dojo so he can become stronger and get closer to Ibuki then eventually joins the gang to go save her and my dude does not get enough credit like he should. I would go through the rest of the cast, but no point; I hate the rest anyway.
Enjoyment: I enjoyed this series when I was 12 and now as a 25 year old, I despise this show. I'm positive skinny dipping in an active volcano would be more fun than re-watching this series. If Men in Black showed up to wipe away my memory, I would thank them beforehand. Even the fan service wasn't fun and enjoyable. If you can't even pull off fan service anymore, just give up.
Overall: This show is a waste of time and I couldn't even recommend this show as a joke. I wish it had developed an actual story since it had a pretty decent premise to run with. If you want to watch something generic, this is your show. You wanna watch some fan service that doesn't get excited in the slightest? Boom! This show is the one for you. Have fun!

I am writing this review because there isn't one for it yet.
Story: This story of this is just not good; even the premise is awful. I had low expectations going in and it managed to not even get over that low bar. So you have a 5th grader (Carol) in love with her "older brother" (Kotarou) because reasons. Now I do agree that her brother is a total chad, however him not having any dialogue doesn't help whatsoever. The taboo thing about this series is the age gap between the 5th grader and her already adult brother. Now from my understanding he isn't related, so
...
it isn't incestuous, it's instead "What are you doing step-brother-kun" even though he isn't a step-siblings either (You get the gist). Kotarou isn't aware of Carol's feelings and already has a baddie of a gal pal trying to get her cheeks clapped by him and he's down. Taboo topics in a manga can be done, but this series just couldn't managed. I believe the absolute downfall of this series is the wacky sci-fi they decided to add. It didn't improve the story in any manner. Carol's "daughter" comes from the future in order to ensure he mother succeeds in getting her cheeks clapped by Kotarou her supposed father. Now if you know how time travel works, this makes absolutely no sense. This story attempted to add something complicated in a simple story and suffered because of it.
Art: The art style given to this is very standard, nothing special, but the characters do have a charm to them. Kotarou looks pretty cool to me personally and I see why this Chad has a barrage of bitches wanting some of that. I do find it rather uncomforting the pervasion of children that is depicted in this series, so morally speaking, I'm gonna have to give that a thumbs down.
Character: The characters in this series suck! Kotarou is the best character because he's an absolute Chad and doesn't have any dialogue to ruin his image in this dumpster fire of a series. Now I wish he had dialogue so we could see what makes him so great and to get a feel of his character more, but it is what it is. Carol bothers me a bit because her reasoning for being in love is rather stupid. What else could I expect of a 10 year old I guess? Her daughter acts way too immature for being an adult that traveled back in time, like what? I don't know why that was a decision, but it was decision made.
Enjoyment: I enjoyed this a little bit, but the only thing I enjoyed were the few funny moments in the manga. Other than that, I did not enjoy this at all. The story is atrocious, the comedy is meh a majority of times, and the perverse moments of little girls is unsettling.
Overall: I was massively disappointed in this series because the author, Yuuji Yuuji, is the same author who created "29 to JK", which is one of my favorite manga. It's a shame, but I should've seen this coming from the jump. I don't like to judge a book from its cover because every time I do, I'm wrong, but my gut was right in knowing this manga was going to be trash.

Story: The story is simplistic, but that's fine. Not every anime needs to have a deep meaning or complicated plot. High schoolers got to deal with a zombie apocalypse, you know how it is. The only thing that bogs down the story so hard is the excessive fan service. Now I'm a man who enjoys some fan service here and there, I don't think it's always distasteful, but this show tries to be serious while being extremely pervasive almost all of the time. It gets old real quick. The only thing a little interesting is the dynamic between Takashi and Rei, sort of (I'll elaborate
...
further in the character section). This series had potential, but it decided to spit that potential in the face and attempted to become a car crash of a series.
Art: The art style of this series is actually not that bad. I enjoy the design of the zombies and the characters, sort of. The zombies do actually look terrifying and legit, so good job dude, but as for the characters, the art style is good, but their design is just whack! Saeko looks fine and so do the male characters and Alice, but all of the other female characters just look ridiculous. I know you're aiming for easy fan service, but it's pretty excessive to have every teenage girl to have triple D's. Just think their designs could have been better and don't get me started on the nurse's design. I wish she hadn't survived whatsoever.
Sound/Music: This is the most positive thing I can say about this series and that is the soundtrack freaking smacks. They are bippidy boppers, my guy. The voice acting is actually pretty solid too, the English dub could be better, but it's not the worst thing ever.
Character: The characters in this show are just plain boo boo butter. There is nothing compelling of them whatsoever, no charm, and I'm not even hoping for their survival. The only character I want to live is Alice because I have a soft spot for children in anime, other than that if any of the characters were to die, I wouldn't feel a thing (And you know how we treat our anime deaths around here). Remember how I mentioned the dynamic between Takashi and Rei? Well this series almost had something there, but it falls completely flat because the "romance" between the two is just forced. Their progression for development within each other just didn't sit right. When it was slow and steady, it made sense, but it tried to rush their feelings to the point of it being unnatural. Saeko's character development doesn't make sense in the slightest either. One day she's a badass killing zombies like she was waiting for this day then all of sudden becomes "weak" and fragile (At the worst time of course) then she goes back to being this badass. Now I'm cool with fragility within a character, but this was once again just way too unnatural with how and when it progressed. It abruptly interrupted the story (or lack thereof) and it had a character act out of character in order to have an obstacle. Kouta is the type of dude that plays Call of Duty and thinks it's the same as actual combat and that he can handle himself just fine; he was my favorite character growing up, but I'm positive that was projection which I am a shame of. Shizuka shouldn't be a character or shouldn't have survived. Saya is a self-proclaimed genius. Rei sucks from episode one and moving forward. Takashi is bearable, but just somewhat lacking. Alice is perfect the way she is.
Enjoyment: I enjoyed this series and all for the wrong reasons. High School of the Dead is like a car accident you see on video and don't understand how it happened, so you keep watching it over and over in order to deconstruct what the hell went wrong. I still remember the iconic scene of the bullet somehow going in between Saeko's breasts and wondering how the hell did anyone animate this seriously and didn't get fired from their job? I could watch this show over and over only because it is hotdog water sprinkled with cocaine. It's awful, but for some reason, you're addicted to it.
Overall: This show is absolutely horrible and if someone asked me for a good show to watch, I couldn't recommend this in the slightest. Now if someone asked me for a show to sit down and have a good laugh at then I will point them into this show's direction. This show was made strictly for boys at the age of 13-15, while puberty is strong. I have yet met anyone who considers this show as good in a serious way. Definitely watchable, but not for any good reason.

Story: For the second season of IS, this season didn't even try to be decent. It didn't even put effort into progressing the plot that it was setting up for in the previous season. Each episode is 17 minutes of fan service and 5 minutes of substance. This season has decided to push any chance to have a story or character development out of the window just for cheap and dull fan service we already experienced in season one. I can't even remember the story because of how little the show spends on it for all 12 episodes. This season spends 20 minutes focused on
...
the plot. Anyone who enjoys this season, I'm positive are new to anime and are here for the harem and titties. There cannot be any other reason to say you enjoy this show.
Art: Here's the most positive thing I can say about the show and that's the art is pretty good and the color scheme is solid. Yeah the mecha designs are pretty generic, but I can let it slide. The character's design is also somewhat charming and memorable. I admittedly suck at remembering character's names, but their interesting design helps.
Sound/Music: As for sound effects and voice acting, this anime has done an acceptable job. It's not unbearable, so thank goodness. The soundtrack of this season smacks, so credit given where credit is due.
Character: Now that we're done with all of the positives this show has to offer now it's all down hill from here. Yes the characters are memorable, but that's strictly because the art style makes them so. Other than that, the characters don't have anything worth mentioning. Yeah, it's cool that all of the harem girls are of different ethnic background, but that's all your getting for anything interesting about them. Now let's talk about the elephant in the room, Ichika Orimura is THE harem protagonist. When you think harem protagonist, this is the guy you think of. No personality, no real interesting trait; other being the only male being able to pilot an IS, and the reason he has a flock of girls falling for him is because he's a nice guy and you know why he's a nice guy? Because you're a nice guy. He's literally an empty vessel for you to project yourself onto. He's as boring as mine and your middle school and high school love lives. He has no depth, he isn't funny, and/or doesn't have an actual motive or goal. I am confident that if the studio swapped him with a cardboard box in the middle of an episode, no one would notice. With the introduction of a few more girls this season to join the harem circle jerk, they are both completely forgettable. I actually had to go check what their names were whilst typing this review.
Enjoyment: I did not enjoy this in the slightest. I believe gargling a bowl of nails would be more entertaining and fun than re-watching this season. I can tolerate season 1 because it did have fun battles and actually attempted to push a story, but if I had to choose to either watch this again or to fight Madara Uchiha solo? Then hand me my ninja headband and allow me to get folded properly.
Overall: This show is awful and I could theoretically recommend the first season, but I would always suggest that they should stop right there. I wouldn't recommend this show to my worst enemy. I can't even sarcastically suggest this to someone. If you're reading this right now and you haven't watch this yet, you are currently blessed. Feel free to watch it at your own risk.

Disclaimer: I have read both the manga and have watched the anime and will be making most of my judgment comparing the anime to the original source.
Story: So the story is 10 year old genius, Negi Springfield, who is assigned to teach a all girls middle school in order to become a proper mage whilst keeping it a secret (Spoiler alert: He's found out within the first episode. "How does that add up" you ask. No clue, but still sounds fun. As far as the story goes, the anime pretty much is just one huge set up for the remainder of the series. It
...
sucks that in the beginning of this series, nothing really happens and everything that does happen is just the tip of the iceberg of something very important later in the series that you will never see in the anime. For example the introduction to the character Fate Averruncus (If you had read the manga, you know how much of a big deal he is). The anime is underwhelming due to this problem. Another problem I have with this anime is the action is just awful. It's just a bunch of still images that are panned, tilted, or both. Whereas in the manga, many of the fight scenes that anime does depict, are intense and entertaining. The anime fails to live up to the standards of the manga in that regard and does genuinely disappoint me.
Art: The art is rather standard and does have a little charm to it, but it's also very boring to stare at. It was created by Funimation, so that may be a huge factor into why it looks like every other anime that came out from 2000 to 2007. It's not like the art is bad, but it's so generic to its time period that if you were to throw any character into the world of Chobits, you wouldn't be thrown off that something was off.
Sound/Music: The sounds all made sense in this series. The voice acting in both the sub and dub are actually pretty good. The dub is better than expected especially for when it came out. The soundtrack is very nice and used very appropriately. Don't even get me started on the opening and ending theme.
Character: Let's talk about Negi, he's okay. I don't really have high expectations out of him because he's only 10. Yes, he's a genius, but still lacks maturity which makes sense. As for the anime goes, his character development isn't to bad and is actually done in a proper manner and so do the other characters as well. Asuna is your typical Tsundere like character who has no romantic interest in Negi which is rather refreshing; rather she takes on the big sister role since she looks similar to Negi's actual sister. The main love interest, Nodoka, also had pretty decent character development as well. I wish I could go about and talk about the other characters properly, but unfortunately the anime doesn't really have the time to go through the cast and to give the development each student deserves. It doesn't help that the anime changed a few things from the manga which drastically reduced a lot of other character's development.
Enjoyment: I enjoyed the show, but after reading the manga then coming back to it, I was really bummed out with how many changes Funimation Studios made and had a realization with how lazy the studio was producing this. It's one of the few shows I'm embarrassed to admit that I used to love growing up. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad, but it's a show that was done so dirty in my opinion. It had so much potential and it just got he shaft because of who it was handed to to do the work for it. If it was another company that had worked on it, I'm confident that the show would get the justice it deserves.
Overall this show is straight down the middle and just okay. I can't recommend this show to anyone unless you want to look at a bunch of cute girls trying to decide who's wifey af (btw the most wifey character is Satsuki Yotsuba. Don't agree? Fight me). The fan service is also very tamed, it's basically softcore ecchi, which makes sense because dude, it's a bunch of middle schoolers. You can only do oh so much with them before we look at you in a negative light. In conclusion, this series is painfully average. Just read the manga, it handles the characters and story much better. The action will always keep you at the edge of your seat and you'll be glad you went for the ride. Once again, go check out my manga review of this series because you will definitely see a difference on how I feel about the series.
