A Galaxy Next Door is best described as average. The premise comes off as uniquely unoriginal, with the method for the two main characters being tied together putting forth the only amount of individuality this show has. Every other aspect of the show ends up becoming a trope galore. The show struggles to ever have a definitive identity, constantly teetering on the line of breaking out onto it's own but never committing.

This anime is disappointing because it could have easily been something new and special, but instead it delivers below quality ASMR and tries to hide it with the cute anime girls.
It's not as though this anime never has ANY good triggers in it, it's just that even when they use the directional audio to increase the immersion for the triggers, it still uses flat audio for the characters talking causing there to be a noticeable disparity in what you're hearing. Yasuke is the epidemy of a clown fiesta. The show had no real originality to it and seemed to just do anything and everything it felt like. Giant Robots, yep. Magic, yep. Swordsmen, yep. Historical piece, barely. The show lacked anything and everything it would need to feel good and comprehensible.
The main character, Yasuke, in thought is a pretty good character. The idea of a black swordsman trying to prove himself in feudal Japan is a very cool idea, especially since it's based off a real person, but the show does a complete disservice to the character.
