*Spoiler warning*
This is a review you probably have seen a dozen of times already. If you were hoping for a well-thought review, then stop reading now. I'm extremely biased and that won't ever change. If you didn't know already, Koe no Katachi is a 10/10 for me and here is why:
-Story 9/10-
Koe no Katachi hit close to home for me since I myself have been looked down upon for a long time (I wouldn't go as far as calling it being bullied, but it got close). On the other hand I have been on the other side as well, because I bullied a person in
...
the past (luckily I never went too far, but I still regret it to this day, even if that person was a terrible person at the time). So I could basically identify to both sides of the MC (main character). The story beyond the bullying arc isn't anything special or original, but the way the story is handled is special in a way. Redemption, friendship and a tiny bit of romance are the central themes used in Koe no Katachi. Especially redemption is handled so well in this movie that I have nothing bad to say about the story for that matter. Koe no Katachi is a bit lacking in romance, however romance isn't the major focus so I didn't mind. The only part of this story that bothered me was how some side characters are treated, but I will get to that later in this review.
-Art 9/10-
Nothing to complain about. It's definitely not on par with Kimi no Nawa, but the artstyle is unique and beautiful nonetheless.
-Sound 10/10-
Beautiful soundtrack and sound usage. Again I have nothing to complain about.
-Character 9/10-
Now I am dissappointed in how some side characters are treated compared to the main characters. The old classmates of the MC are all extremely annoying and don't really get what they deserve. The only reason why one of them changes her/his mind is because something happens to the MC later in the movie. The two main characters get all the focus, but not even they get equal focus. The OG MC has greaf character development and on the other hand the other MC doesn't really change until like halfway through the movie. I feel like the focus was completely on the MC and everyone else just exists to make him a better person or to make him feel confident again. Maybe I'm just nitpicking at this point, because I love the movie so much. However I really dislike most of the side characters excluding a few of them, though you can probably guess which ones I dislike. I'm not saying they're uninteresting characters, they're just not fleshed out enough for me to care about them.
-Enjoyment 10/10-
That being said I still loved this movie to pieces! It's a masterpiece and everyone (I mean EVERYONE) has to watch this movie at least once! It's a gem and definitely my favorite anime movie ever! If you want a recommendation from me then go watch: I want to eat your pancreas, 5 cm per second, Kimi No Nawa etc.

*WARNING! As a massive Steins;Gate fan, I'm going to try to keep it as objective as I can. Keep in mind that Steins;Gate is my personal favorite anime.*
I went into this show with big expectations. I had watched the original Steins;Gate multiple times and couldn't be more excited. Now the question is....Was it worth the wait? And was it any good? I'll tell you exactly how good it is.
Story ~ 9/10
From beginning to end I was invested in the story and I was curious what would happen every next episode. Obviously it's based on a Light Novel, so it's not an original story. I
...
myself haven't seen the LN, so everything I saw was new to me. I may be biased, because the original Steins';Gate is my favorite anime ever. Nonetheless, the 'sequel' to an almost perfect anime was great in its own way (storywise). I have to admit some episodes are better than others (like the original series) and it wasn't easy to keep up with all the world lines and events. Therefore I can't give it any higher than a 9 (which is high enough).
Art ~ 9/10
In general the artstyle for Steins;Gate 0 was great, but in some episodes it wasn't as good as in others. For example, the action sequences in episode 17 could've been better (yes I'm aware it's not an action series).
Sound ~ 10/10
I rarely give a 10 for an anime soundtrack, but damn it blew me away. From Lyra (episode 8 end theme) to Gate of Steiner (episode 23 end theme). I would say the music for 0 is equally as good as the original Steins;Gate's music. Just mind-blowing!
Character ~ 9/10
The only reason I give a 9, is because Makise Kurisu is an amazing character. Don't get me wrong Okabe, Mayuri, Daru, Suzuha, Maho and Kagari are all interesting characters. The problem with S;G 0 is that the chemistry between the main characters is lacking in comparison to the original series. I loved every single episode of the original, because the interaction between Okabe, Kurisu, Daru and Mayuri is so well-done. Yes we did get Amadeus as a replacement, but we all know a computer-program has nothing on the real Makise Kurisu. Episode 8 is the living proof of that. The only episode where we get to see Kurisu for a long period and it was one of the best Steins;Gate episodes (in my opinion). I still enjoyed seeing Okabe slowly turning back into his old self, but it isn't nearly as good as the chemistry between Okabe and Kurisu.
Enjoyment ~ 10/10
There's no other anime that I can enjoy as much as I enjoy Steins;Gate. Every episode grabs my atention and reminds me of why I love Steins;Gate as much I do.
If you haven't watched the original, don't even bother watching 0. If you do decide to watch the original after 0, then keep in mind that you will most probably won't understand anything about the story. To anyone who has watched Steins;Gate or is currently watching it, I highly suggest you watch Steins;Gate 0.
Overall ~ 9/10
I tried to be as objective as possible, but you can probably tell I'm really biased since I gave the original a 10/10. Still I enjoyed the shit out of Steins;Gate 0 and I hope the OVA will be as good as the original OVA. Now I'm off to save my grades in the future before my parents unleash world war III on me!

''There's such a thing as love in this world. I'm sure of it.'' ~ Dazai
I had never heard of Tsuki Ga Kirei before and I'm sure I would never have found it if a certain someone hadn't recommended it to me. I didn't know what to expect and I must say I was pleasantly suprised. Now if you don't like romance or high school stories, then Tsuki ga Kirei is not for you and I suggest you watch something else.
Story - 9/10
Tsuki ga Kirei was an original, realistic and refreshing story about an high school romance. For a typical high school romance it
...
really stood out. The romance and dialogues were convincing and felt close to realistic. Even though towards the end it gets a bit cliché, I really enjoyed the story. Tsuki ga Kirei showed me that teenage years can be quite interesting and don't need dramatic events to keep me watching. That's why Tsuki ga Kirei is not comparable to Clannad/Angel Beats/Charlotte. I enjoyed the drama/romance in the 3 animes listed above, but they didn't feel realistic in my opinion. And that's where Tsuki ga Kirei shines as an original realistic take on high school romance.
Art - 7/10
Tsuki ga Kirei was close to perfect (to me), if it wasn't for the sloppy animation. I really liked the art-style and the facial expressions were done extremely well. Such a shame that crowds or walking animations were absolutely terrible. I don't know the exact reason for this, but it didn't really affect the story in general. Still it could've been done much better.
Sound - 8/10
I don't quite remember anything of the soundtrack. Today I looked up some of the OST and I wasn't disappointed. Really emotional and moving soundtrack.
Character - 9/10
As a main character Azumi was a very interesting, but not an original character. He's a typical shy kid with a regular group of friends. Mizuno on the contrary is a more popular and athletic character (shy nonetheless). The way these two characters fall in love was very much like how normal kids would fall in love. It starts with eye contact and before you know it they start texting everyday. (Texting is actually a very important theme in this anime and the use of LINE is necessary for this love-story to happen). Their conversations in real-life start out as awkward and contain lots of silences. However, the more the better they get to know each other the more they begin to open-up to one another. This leads to them eventually dating each other. I mentioned friends before, but I haven't mentioned the use of friends in Tsuki ga Kirei. Friends are actually a key-factor in this story. Both the Azumi and Mizuno started out as really embarassed about their relation and this led to many misunderstandings. Hearts were broken and friendships were almost lost. Even the use of parents and family in this anime was really realistic compared to other anime like (uhum) almost every other high school romance. With the exception of the two main characters I actually didn't care for many other characters. There were some other characters I liked, but they weren't interesting enough for me to actually care for them like I do for the main characters.
Enjoyment - 9/10
In general I really enjoyed this anime and I was quite disappointed it was only 12 episodes. Nonetheless I liked how the story went and how it ended, so there is no need for a second season or sequel. I definitely learned a lot myself and it got me thinking about my own life. I'm in my final year of high school and next year I'm going to university (hopefully). I could relate to a lot of this anime and it's definitely worth a watch.
Overall - 9/10
Despite the horrible walking animations I would recommend Tsuki ga Kirei to anyone who enjoyes a good high school romance. If you're looking for an eventful and dramatic romance story, then Tsuki ga Kirei is not the anime for you and I would recommend Clannad or Charlotte. If you do enjoy a realistic high scool romance, then I definitely recommend this anime to you. Tsuki ga Kirei is a gem and deserves so much more attention, so I suggest you recommend this to your friends if you enjoyed it.

(Before you read any further. This is a review based on my opinion. If you disagree with me that's fine, but if you were expecting an objective review then I suggest you stop reading right now)
''The scars you can't see are the hardest to heal...'' ~ Nao Tomori
I did some research before I started watching Charlotte and I came to the conclusion that people had mixed feelings about this show. One adores the show and the other thinks it's wasted potential. I mean Charlotte is composed by the same person who composed Clannad (After story), Angel Beats and Kanon. Nonetheless this review
...
is about Charlotte and not about Clannad. I will use some examples in this review, but it will not influence my judgement.
Story - 7/10
I really enjoyed the story the first seven episodes. In my opinion Charlotte started as a masterpiece, but they decided to do something different after episode 7. I can respect that, because it is hard to create something original in the modern world. I was still very interested where this show was going. Not much later the concept of ''time leaping'' is introduced and I thought that Charlotte was going to be another time-travel-story. Another episode later it became something different. While the story changes every episode the writers are trying to force a love-story down our throat. Now don't get me wrong I think the main characters are perfect for each other and their chemistry is spot on. There's one main issue with the story. Just like Angel Beats it should have been more than 13 episodes. If Charlotte had more episodes it coud have been much more. The special episode made me hunry for more and they should have used that to their advantage. Since Charlotte originally has 13 episodes and 1 special I can't give the story higher than a 7 much to my regret.
Art - 8/10
The art was amazing, but it wasn't anything special. If you want to see an Anime (movie) with an amazing art-style you should watch Your Name or the Garden of Words. There's not much else to say about the art.
Sound - 8/10
I did like the OP and the OST for Charlotte, but just like the art-style it wasn't anything special in my opinion. I do like the songs by the ''post-rock band Zhiend'' and the way they were used in Charlotte.
Character - 8/10
I never hated the main character nor did I like him. I don't really like watching perfect people (even if it's an anime), but the character development was very noticeable. I enjoyed watching the main character changing from an emotionless jerk to a loving and caring person. It is a little bit cliché, but does that make it a bad anime? The other main character was very likeable. Their chemistry really works, but their romance seems a bit forced. I don't like to compare, but since the same person composed Angel Beats, you can't deny the fact that both Charlotte and Angel Beats rushed the romance between the main characters. Therefore the ending feels less nostalgic then it should have.
Enjoyment - 9/10
Despite the rushed romance and lack of episodes, I still enjoyed Charlotte. Even though the story was rushed near the end, I still feel they handled it better than Angel Beats did. I really enjoyed the chemistry between the main characters and even the humor in some episodes. Like I said I don't wish to compair shows, so I will rate Charlotte as a standalone anime.
Overall - 8/10
I know I may seem a bit generous, but just like I said this is based on my opinion and I was never trying to be objective. I enoyed Charlotte, but I wouldn't recommend it to everyone. If you enjoyed Angel Beats or don't mind watching something incomplete then look no further. The ending is satisfying nonetheless, but it could have been much more. Now don't get my wrong. The length of a show doesn't always guarantee its succes, but in this case I'm absolutely sure it would have improved this show by miles. Therefore I can't rate Charlotte higher than an 8.
(If you disagree with me or don't like my review then please let me know.)

**Spoiler warning**
I had high hopes for Angel Beats, but I have to say I was quite disappointed with the result. I heard a lot about the show before I had watched it and I was told Angel Beats is about friendship, romance, love and a bit of action. After finishing Angel Beats I had seen too little of those themes and I ended up craving for more episodes. Which is the problem of Angel Beats. There are not enough episodes to finish the intriguing story.
Story - 8/10
The story and setting had so much potential. I loved the concept of a place where people go to
...
when they die with too much regret to move on to heaven. The concept is original, but 13 episodes were just not enough for Angel Beats. If only they decided to do 24/26 episodes or even 20 episodes. Then the story could've been much more interesting.
Sound - 9/10
I don't have anything to say about the sound, other then the fact that the soundtrack was good and the songs in the story were even better. You can't argue with the greatness of the music used in Angel Beats.
Character - 7/10
I loved the MC and a few other characters, but just as I mentioned earlier there were too few episodes to truely identify with all the characters in Angel Beats. The Character Development could've been amazing with 20-24 episodes, but when you focus on the MC for 10 episodes and only use romance in the last 3 episodes. That doesn't feel right in my opinion. The love felt out of place. The MC only knew the other MC for a very short period and they're supposed to be in love already. If this show had more episodes it could've been one of the best new animes.
Enjoyment - 7/10
The lack of character development and episodes really affected my opinion of this show. I really want to love this show, but I ended up not caring for most of the characters. It really is a shame.
Overall - 8/10
You might wonder why I still gave Angel Beats an 8/10? It's because it wasn't a bad show, to be honest it was far from bad. The fact that a lot of potential was wasted is the only thing keeping me from giving Angel Beats a 9/10. If they ever decide to make another season or reboot the 13 episodes, then maybe I will change my mind. For now I'm really disappointed this show wasn't longer than 13 episodes.

After having watched Steins;Gate two times and many other great anime, it's fair to say that I can give an honest opinion about the story and about the anime in its entirety. Death Note was my first anime and in the following weeks I had watched Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood and Code Geass. This review will be based on my honest opinion and if you think I'm being biased or subjective then please let me know.

Story - 9/10
I really enjoyed the story from the beginning till the end. I do agree the first 6 episodes are relatively slow-paced, I would even
...
go as far as saying until a certain event happens a few episodes later (people who have finished the show will know what I mean) it still is slow-paced. Does the pace have influence on the story in general? In my opinion it doesn't but that's for the viewer to decide. From that certain event until the very end of the anime it only gets better and better every episode. The first episodes served as character development and setting up the plot. I enjoyed every episode from start to finish, but there's one thing I don't quite agree with. The story continues after that certain event and the MC tries everything in his power to prevent this event from happening. Later he finds out that if he prevents that event from happening, another event will happen. This means the MC has to choose between the events. (Spoiler alert) In the end the MC manages to prevent both events from happening, but it is never explained how this affects the future. I'm glad the MC could prevent both events from happening, but the ending is incomplete in my opinion. The OVA episode also didn't cover this subject, so this and the slow-pace issues are the reasons I can't give the story a 10/10.
Sound - 10/10
Never have I been so amazed by a soundtrack. ''Believe me'' and ''Promise'' are absolutely mind-blowing soundtracks. Even the Steins;Gate main soundtrack is amazing. I have nothing else to say about the sound.
Characters 9/10
The MC Okabe Rintarou is a complex and well thought character. He puts up this façade that he has no interest in socializing and the well-being of others, but he contradicts himself every episode. His character is funny, well-written, caring, friendly and loyal to the bone.
The other MC Makise Kurisu is a typical Tsundere and the show doesn't try to hide this. They even go as far as calling her a Tsundere in the show. (Spoiler alert) As you would expect she falls in love with the other MC and this wasn't a suprise at all. If you pay close attention to her every episode you can see that she's slowly developing feelings for the other MC. In the end you'll love her just as much as the other MC.
Shiina Mayuri is a typical sweet and innocent anime girl (which they will use against you). Her character isn't really anything special compared to the other MC, but she had a lot of potential. For instance you never get to know her true feelings towards the MC. Waste of potential in my opinion.
All the other important characters aren't really anything to shout about and definitely not worth reviewing (Suzuha and Moeka had much potential as well).
Art - 9/10
I enjoyed the art-style of this anyme, but it wasn't anything special in my opinion. I prefer a more realistic art-style like Death Note or Darling in the Franxxx (not a good example).
Enjoyment - 10/10
This is by far one of the most enjoyable anime I have ever seen. The characters are likeable, the sound is amazing, the story keeps getting better every episode and I actually have sympathy for all the characters.
Overall - 10/10
I don't like giving something a 10 unless it actually deserves it and this anime definitely deserves all the praise. It is one of the best anime I have ever seen and I doubt another show will make me feel like Steins;Gate did. I recommend this anime to people who don't mind a slow start. If you like drama/slice of life anime then look no further. If you enjoyed Erased/Re:Zero then this anime is a must-watch for you.
