When I first heard of an anime adaptation of DMC, I was really excited but despite that there was still this small bit of me screaming "IT'S GONNA SUCK". Well, I'm glad that small part of me was wrong but I still would have been better off listening to it.
Story 5/10
Until the last two or so episodes, you don't get any, but It's no big deal really as this is just a straight up action show with a pinch of slice of life. However, I do think a bit more story could have drastically improved it.
Art 8/10
If this thing has a shining point, this would
...
be it. Nothing really to say about it other than it's awesome.
Sound 8/10
The soundtrack suits the anime well, especially in the last episode. As for the opening, I bloody loved it. The closing on the other hand was quite forgettable. I say this because I can't remember it no matter how hard I try.
Characters 7/10
For the most part, I liked the characters but I never really saw any development. Still, I don't think the setup really requires a gigantic and complex character cast.
Enjoyment 6/10
Out of all 12 episodes, I only liked one, episode 5. Everything else was either mediocre, boring or like a lullaby.
Still, I suggest you watch it online, just for the off chance that you'll like it.

Although I'm not the biggest fan of Death Note, I still decided to give this novel a shot. And even though it was a tiny bit disappointing I'm still happy I read it.
When I picked it up I was expecting it to be more like the original series with a lot of mental sparring and what not, but instead it takes the straight mystery route and follows our main character Naomi as she tries to uncover the truth behind a string of murders in LA.
Story 8/10
The writer managed to cram everything in to only 1 volume, which I think is a shame as some length
...
could have drastically improved the novel. Aside from that the story, to me, felt kinda slow at times
Art 7/10
Don't take this one seriously, I only vaguely remember 1 illustration which was done quite well . . . I think.
Characters 10/10
The characters are really where the novel shines. The novel only uses 3 characters but that's really all it needs. It's because of its small cast that I could really enjoy each character individually.
Enjoyment 8/10
The one thing I feel really improved the novel was Mello's commentary and style of storytelling. Without this I feel the whole thing would have been too bland or just straight out boring.
Overall 8/10
The only major reason I was disappointed is because I desperately wanted another Death Note. If it weren't for that I could have enjoyed the whole thing way more. As far as you picking it up goes, don't pick it up just because you loved DN, only get it if you like mystery novels.

Before reading Berserk, I never actually thought I would find in to something with more gore than Hellsing. I kinda feel stupid now.
Story 8/10
The story doesn't really start till a few volumes in giving the series a rather slow start. After that we get to enjoy an amazing storyline before coming back to the start, except this time we know the context.
Art 10/10
Incredibly detailed without preventing you from seeing what's actually going on. If there's something I can complain about it's that Puck often gets drawn in some weird style which annoyed the crap out of me.
Characters 9/10
Instead of praising the character development I'm just
...
gonna say what bothers me, and that is the fact that I simply don't like about a third of the characters.
Enjoyment 8/10
After the amazing storyline mentioned in the Story portion the series stays awesome for about 10 volumes or so till taking what is in my opinion one of the biggest nose dives in history.
Overall 9/10
If you are bothered by gore or don't like depressing stories, then you should not touch this with a 10 foot pole, otherwise you should give it a try.

Manga is not something I can appreciate to a high extent, no matter how hard I try. That said, it's quite rare for me to run in to one that I can rely on to completely take me away from reality, and in that area Btooom! , for me was just amazing.
So:
Story 9/10
The story is, I feel, the strongest point of the series. There was never a moment of boredom and if there's anything I can complain about, it's that it sometimes goes overboard with flashbacks.
Art 10/10
Everything is drawn near-perfectly from the background to the facial expressions and, obviously, the explosions.
Characters 9/10
Every character that
...
stays alive for more than 4 chapters has enough back-story provided for us to understand them. The only thing I didn't like is that I often found myself wanting to jump in to the story and beat a select few characters to death with a baseball bat. Still, if they can piss me off that much they must be doing something right.
Enjoyment 10/10
The only thing that hindered my enjoyment was what I mentioned in the characters. Apart from that, no complaints.
Overall 10/10
Honestly, I haven't had this much fun since I first learned what manga was and I definitely recommend you go check it out either out.
