I'm not quite sure how to put into works exactly how much I LOVE this anime.

Overall -- Just like the first season, AKB0048 Next Stage does an outstanding job of reaching their audience... and I don't mean their audience IN the anime... by audience, I mean "me". I find my heart racing throughout every performance and through the emotional ups and downs with the characters as I share in their joys and disappointments.

Enjoyment -- 100%, Every moment is exciting! From the suspense of the elections and succession, to the emotional drama involving Chieri and her father, to the intensity of each and every ... battle-concert... which gives other musical and action-mecha anime a run for their money... I can't get enough.

Character -- I love them all. There isn't a single character I dislike... that isn't something that happens very often. Each of the girls have their own unique, yet relatable, personality making it possible for me to care about each and every one of them and how they feel.

Sound -- I like jpop, so I love the soundtrack. Every episode has several performances of various AKB48 songs. They aren't used as insert-songs for the background... the girls actually sing them in the anime! The background soundtrack is a classical score of the AKB48 song's melodies, making the full AKB0048 soundtrack perfectly themed.

Art -- Very cute with vibrant colors. The heart reflections on the hair and in the eyes of every 0048 member is an excellent touch. The visuals are sharp and the CG is excellent. Did I mention there are lasers? I didn't... yea... there are lasers too. The "idols in space" theme is wonderfully executed.

Story -- This is the one weak point... there isn't really much of one to tell... and it doesn't matter. Every performance and every battle has a tremendous amount of excitement that is able to bring joy to me as I watch with a smile. This season has a lot more emotional drama than the first, and it is portrayed with excellence.

I LOVE THIS ANIME SO MUCH!

Shinsekai Yori's story is the primary motivator for watching the anime. The first episodes are somewhat boring, but as the past starts to be revealed (themes of war and human rights), the suspense intensifies. While I was never blown-away by anything in the series, it managed to keep the suspense and mystery through the final episodes, as the darkness of humanity's past (and present) is brought to light.

The visuals are sharp and uniquely surreal with strange creatures and devices. The soundtrack is well themed to the atmosphere of the show.

Shinsekai Yori is an enjoyable anime to watch, just don't ... expect too much from it.

At first I thought this was going to be an EVA clone, but it isn't really. I had actually dropped it after the first 2 episodes. I picked it back up and finished it a couple years later.

The majority of the episodes consist of the para-military organization "Funeral" defending earth from alien invaders with their mecha. Meanwhile the understory consists of Takuto's desire for revenge against Frank (the monster/hero created from the parts of defeated aliens). Things get quite a bit better once you find out "why" all the aliens are trying to reach the same location on earth.

The storytelling itself ... is sub-par, and character development is lacking. It still turned out to be a decent enough show to watch.

Reverse harem is as reverse harem does.

What Amnesia does have going for it is a decent narrative gimmick and non-standard art style. The storytelling does a good job keeping you wondering whats going on, keeping in line with the main character's own confusion.

It's a decent romance, but don't expect too much from it.

This was so bad I couldn't even finish it.

Take all the characters, throw them in a room, completely change their interpersonal relationships, and have them make no contributions to the overall Dragonaut universe... totally pointless waste of time.

This anime is about what I've come to expect from Gonzo studio, below average. Dragonaut is below average in every way.

When they try to build dramatic tension, it feels manufactured and fake. The dismal character development doesn't help any either. The action sequences lack excitement. The story is decent enough, but the storytelling itself is just standard cookie-cutter storytelling. The anime just doesn't have much to draw you in. The only reason to watch this show, is if you have nothing better to watch.
