Except for the art there is Not much good to say about this one. It is not a cute story and it is also not very realistic one. At least I hope nobody had to go through having to hang out with this kind of people, and if they did I cannot imagine they want to keep hanging out with them...

We get some angst love story but romance and romantic feelings are not really a part of it. The focus is on the angst and friends abusing the angst of there peers.

Mostly it is just about some friends sleeping around, cheating around encouraging each ... other to cheat on each other and being okay with being cheated on, and few naive ones that get hurt but are still okay with being cheated on...

I could not relate to any of this crap or any of the characters. One of the worst yuri manga I have read to date.

"Shinozaki-san Ki wo Ota Shika ni!" is a manga that is presented a little different then most yuri mangas. Each chapter is a setup for a comedy sketch with some sweet moments here and there. I enjoyed reading this very much and had quite a few laughs.

The art is really cute and I had no problem differentiating between the characters and it did not bother me at any point.

The story is sort of an Alice in wonderland setup where a "normal" girl reluctantly falls in the otaku rabbit hole. She wants to turn her otaku friends into normal people but finds herself attracted more and ... more to the dark side but is completely tsundere about it.

The characters do not really progress but I do not think they need to. It is more like every chapter just starts back from 0 creating the setup for similar funny comedy sketches and that is what this series is all about. An endless series of comedy sketches in otaku world with strong yuri undertones. In the ending there is some character progression but I feel the writer just wanted to end the series.

This LN series is very easy to read, I read 9 volumes in 2 and a half days so it was really good enough to binge it. The characters are very likeable and grow on you during a very cute story.

The yuri side of the story did not bother me. It projected rather pure teenage feelings and doubts that go together with being a teenager.

In this series the only thing I found that was missing was something like an act of god, a hurdle imposed on the couple or something similar from outside for them to overcome to make them grow as ... a couple. something that has nothing to do with the fact of them being both girls... Relationships do not really deepen if all you got are first world problems.

In the end, like it is now after 9 novels, I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a light feel-good story.

This manga is more cartoonesque in the sense that it consists of a zillion funny short stories putting one of the heroines central in each one. A lot of cliche jokes but this is entirely in the realm of expectations for this series The main story continues slowly throughout but is really put into the background of these short stories. If you like a deep story with a plot that thickens etc this one might not be really your cup of tea.



I read the entire manga in 2 days so it is easy to read and I was enjoying it but the ending lacking every ... grain of romance ruined it for me (And I do not mean which girl that gets picked in the end) . Which is a shame. If not for this ending I would have probably given it a 7 overall.

[spoilers ahead] I do not spoil which girl gets picked... Just some salt about why the ending is not romantic...









I do not see the romance in the "we will be apart for a few years because I want to focus on my career"-thing we often get to see. then afterward they are seeing each other every 6 months because they are busy with there careers etc... If it happens for reasons out of your own making and the couple finds a way to overcome it it can be romantic... but of your own choice just for a f***ing job you are choosing not to be together. A romantic relationship is about being together, overcoming difficulties together. not about choosing to be apart because your career is more important. .. I would not be surprised if the one who wrote this is single or if his relationships all failed...
