first off, this is a yuri or girls love, but not to any extreme extent. as the synopsis suggests, one of the girl named kanon is deaf, and she is "paired" with saki. if this is just the usual yuri, I wouldn't go as far as read it let alone write a review. what makes this series is so special is that it tackles the problem of disability, and showing how the person struggles by having that. perhaps there are some culture problems involved with some of the problems, but nonetheless shows how fragile the society is by just having 1 disabled person in one
...
room. saki literally says this in the manga, but every word is a landmine for kanon. even a word or expression that has no ill intent, can be something kanon would detest due to her past. and because of this, the story is unpredictable in a scary way even though you know there's no killing or anything. just a relationship between the 2 where you wish they become happy, but one small misstep is all it takes to make things crumble. really shows how just being nice isn't the way to treat the disabled as it can backfire, and at the same time there's a way to treat such people without hurting. and I get the feeling that's how it feels like be in some relation with disabled person. although I do not have the audacity to say that I now know how to treat deaf person, it's not that simple at all. in fact that's what the manga would tell you, don't ever feel like you know how to treat disabled person.
some characters look really mean by the first look, but after opening the lid all of them have a reason why they act like that towards kanon/saki. now that doesn't sound that convincing because everyone has a reason to be mean to others. "i had a sad backstory so I'm trying to be a d*ck" is the typical reason for anything in any characters. this manga however, makes the reason very realistic to how some would have to go through. it's not a fantasy so of course even the backstory is realistic duh, yeah I get it. one thing that's a bit different is though, is how each characters have story behind what got them to have table turned because kanon become deaf. this itself is unique, none of the thing each one went through had kanon was normal. but it happened, because she got deaf. I have never experienced any disability people around me, so seeing this is fresh yet hits me in a reality. losing one of the 5 sense is all it takes to ruin the relationship and life, is what all of them shows you.
the art is good, the expression, the look of the girls are cute. the way author draws the panel and the speech panel is quite expressive, that it really depicts the situation.
if anyone really just so happen to stumble upon to this series, go take a try.

after the series was over, one would think any issues has been fixed. NOPE, not even close, if not worse. I'm not gonna add anything more, all my 6 months old complaints permanently exist because taizan was not capable of fixing it till the end. Every aspect is still 1/10.
-the story. wth is this, it's not complicated if you think about it (EDIT: I take that back, it's so all over the place now it's not even funny) but there's no end goal even after +20 chapters. Even if there was one depending on the interpretation, it was not strong enough to feel that is
...
the where the author want to establish. Story, it goes all over the place and do stuffs in a most sluggish way possible. even after the revelation, nothing seems to have changed regarding to the end goal. (EDIT: And no, regaining the memory is not a goal. That's a process. What comes after that? Why is that necessary? Why should I be interested with that? None of that is ever answered.) And lets be real, the first 10 chapters MUST establish what the end goal would be to at least draw the readers. If that part is not made straight, none of the revelation seems impactful because they all leave the question "how good/bad is this for the plot?" No depths, no impact, and becomes irrelevant immediately. If you don’t know where the series wants to land, nothing seems relevant for you. Imagine going to a store and bought something, except you weren’t known what it’s for. You would think, “why did I bought this, what is this for, or how is this gonna benefit me”. And well you just so happened to find out about the usage and what it's for. At the end however, what matters the most is how it benefits you. If that's not fulfilled, a whole essay of good reviews or manual is nothing. This manga has that part missing from the very beginning. The scale of surprise is also nothing, because all of them are not unusual to see in real world. You're honestly gonna make me laugh if you say this is dark: it's pathetically weak because as I said none of the "tragic" element is tragic and is typical to see even irl. Heck tons of real life incident is much worse than what I've seen here, this family is doing better than most of the African family.
-the characters. They develop nothing for a reader. “Nothing" may be too far, though it's not an exaggeration because of the revelation in later chapter. It makes you think "who am I to believe if this person did this or was like this?" even without that, some of them just doesn't feel like they exist due to lack of dialogue. Give them a dialogue and I'd still don't understand what's their role and what's their purpose of existing. Reveal the family member's so-called sin or whatever and it's something I can care less. Here’s one example for sake of credibility. Grandpa has an alzheimer. Okay then, what's the big deal? Am I supposed to be surprised? Like it may be element of surprise, but so what? Is this series gonna go anywhere with this piece of information? It doesn’t, heck just after a chapter or two this piece of revelation becomes irrelevant. But what about the context behind him being alzheimer? There’s nothing. You find about it, the protagonist knows about it, and oh great its the next chapter that has nothing to do with grandpa. it's like this for every family member, some do get into some heavy stuff though not enough for me to NOT say “what do I care“. The introduction for each one of them ends up with, “I now know this person”, but nah you and protag know nothing at the end. Not that it doesn't feel like you want to know more either. Oh and tsubasa is down right the worst protagonist, same level as takemichi in tokyo revenger. He cries and it somehow fix whatever situation he was in, has a mind of a ignorant child, and actually brain dead since he did not fix a single damn thing but thinks he can.
-The title. What about it, you say? Even after 24 chapters the title of this series (specifically the word taizai), there are no real connection between the family and the sins they caused. People speculated each family member resembles 7 deadly sins. Well suppose that's the case, again, so what? This ain't an isekai or some other worldy developed world where you get a power of some sort. But anyways lets get along with the deadly sins, the revealed "sins" so far is not a big deal if you know the context. Might as well say nearly all of them doesn't fit to the deadly sin, let alone be classified as a sin. Making this series realistic is fine, but it ain't getting anywhere and gives little to no impact if all I see is the family members causing some small shenanigans. Even the most abysmal isekai has more straight forward titles, as you would know what the generic protag is gonna do. (as well as letting me know not to go near that thing).
-the art. it's bad, no sugarcoating. Why all of the people got the googly eyes. Why every chapter have one eye squinting and one eye wide open (basically the rock eyebrow raise). I have never seen the most disgusting looking teary eyes in my whole life, they don’t look watery. Alright fine, this is subjective. If you think this is good art, whatever.
I seriously want to know what makes people like this for continuing this far.
EDIT: after 8 chapters and...wow. Story structure is still abysmal, it's not even trying to make sense but think it can make layers like Inception. Obviously it doesn't, the author is not capable of doing such thing let alone make it consistent. The title can't be anymore irrelevant, no such thing as sin or anything because the whole family is in a certain world. Every discussion made is bunch of nonsense and repetitive, or might as well say pathetic because no one tries to solve the problem. What am I supposed to expect when anything they do may end up as "oh it was a dream", or some suspense happening while in middle of suspense? As per usual...who gives a sh*t? Oh but then there's the family past, so at least that would have some cherry on it yeah? Wrong, none of the family's past become anything but an eyesore. Remember how I said grandpa's trait becomes irrelevant? That's still going on after 32 chapters, and just a chapter ago we found out grandma + pa's past. I don't know how many times I've been saying this but wth do I care? Also here's a question: why was that not introduced like in the first 10 chapters? up until now we knew next to nothing about her, except that she pushed off that "guy" off a cliff for no reason. But we only knew about that, so what's the normal reaction about learning her past on top of that? "Why should we ever sympathize you? Why should I care?" Side note: her past doesn't redeem anything, color me surprise.

Have you ever played an app game or whatever that involves gacha and lets you reroll until you're satisfied with what you get? A normal person would be satisfied as long as they get something they like or meta, because let's be real, you can't get everything unless you're extra lucky and nail that .01%. Takemichi or the protagonist is in a sense not normal in that matter because he got everything anyone would be more than happy with, but he abandons such cherished results and asks for more. But what do you know, he is already getting a terrible result compared to that reroll
...
he had earlier what a shocker. Exploiting time travel is good and all as long as it's consistent and makes sense, but if you use those in an unnecessary fashion, you're only digging a hole either for yourself or the others getting involved. This is where I am done with this series because even if the author pulls off something convenient to make the result better, that itself is insulting (to me at least).
Anyone who read up to the chapter I dropped off will know what I'm talking about above. Even without the later chapters, this series gave me the feeling that Takemichi has a plot armor 24/7 even in a dire situation because in the end, most of the time the conflict is not resolved by himself. Sure there were some conflicts resolved by himself (namely the first 2), but that left me a question: "did it have to be him to deal with that? surely someone could have done the same thing and gotten a close result." And who's to say "it has to be Takemichi to deal with those" because a lot of time it's just the people around not trying to face the issue.
Characters are good except for some, I'll at least give that.

Sooo unfortunate that this manga isn't getting translated at all for whatever reason when the series has just ended a day ago. In case anybody stumbles upon this review, there are 138 chapters in total, and the translation hasn't even made it to chapter 10. I'm very positive that's why the review is so low and nobody even knows about this series.
But anyway the way how this story went by is where an old man (named Hans Verpid or whatever you spell it), who was a former hero 35 years ago that won a war against vampires, saving the world once again against the
...
same vampires, certain villains that were used to be humans, and the main villain. That's really the synopsis with a very straightforward storyline, but what gets more interesting is the characters that get involved due to how a good amount of them played a big role when Hans and his crew Silver Wolf went all-out war against the vampires aka 35 years ago. It's basically a mix of the new generations and the war veterans which include the vampires who have survived or revived in the war thanks to how the main villain's ability works. It's a bit similar to "sousou no frieren" but not in a pleasant setting. The protagonist often remembers their own tough past with its crew, enemy, and even the civilians who are not involved in the fighting. Also the protag proceeds the story with its new crew where all of them are meant to fight alongside. Aside from the obvious villain this series also has an anti-hero who is the arch-nemesis of Hans from the war 35 years ago. What makes this relationship so interesting is how both will learn many things along the way and came to a conclusion that may or may not surprise the readers but doesn't make you question. This author knows how to settle every conflict in a most reasonable fashion and almost never pulls off bs. Whether you think the dialogue is corny is up to you, but you have to admit that most of the villains except the main one have a good motive to go against Hans while dying without regret because they realized what they haven't noticed before.
The art is fine, however, it's one of the few mangas I've seen where you can get a really good gist of how each fighting scene was illustrated. This is overlooked by a good amount of people in any manga series and I don't blame them, but this is not something anyone can do in a clean fashion even from the jumps like One Piece (no disrespect to Oda). Each panel must hold a specific point of view and movement to illustrate what each character is doing in between every 2 panels, and this manga did that almost perfectly every time. You don't leave the question of "what the hell was this character doing?". (There is one character that keeps on doing things where I just can't tell how he's moving or fighting, but I let it slide knowing he's literally the superboss before the final aka the main villain).
That said, maybe this review didn't hold that much meaning and was a waste of time, but I do want to bring this over for the author and the readers who don't understand English. Besides, the series lasted 6 years, so in a way this is my thanks to the author even though I only jumped into this boat just a half year ago.
