This anime is one of the greatest I have seen. The story line sucked me and made we watch the whole series quickly. Of course I liked it because I am a computer science major but this is definitely for nerds of my caliber.
Storyline 10: I enjoyed it because of the science actually behind the anime which makes it amusing to watch. The best part is that everything is that there are no plot holes unsolved by the concussion of the series, which makes the viewer feel at ease with no unanswered questions. If the viewer enjoys thinking a lot about science and computers and ... si-fi then the viewer will find this anime to be interesting.
Art 10: The characters are very will drawn with exceptional detail. Background and stage sets are well drawn as well with high detail in notes unlike other anime that just draw scribbles. Instead of half assing the characters emotions like most anime there is great detail put into making facial expression. One of the best parts of the art is the visual effects for scientific phenomenon that they discover. Also flash backs are easily distinguishable from the original story line.
Sound 9: The audio for the characters contain multiple inflections to help the viewer experience a connection to the feeling of the characters current state. The sound is well put together and flows with the story. Also the opening song is very interesting and has a unique sound.
Characters 10: I absolutely love every character because they are compiled of multiple emotions and characteristics that make them stand out from other anime. Characters are often driven by emotions and difficult decisions to help them grow and become a better character.
I will definitely re-watch this one on the big screen because of the art and sound effects of this well produced anime. Remember that this review refers to those who love computer science and crazy scientists.

Like all anime I expect a decent story line, but with this anime the story falls apart and gets confusing at times. I was expecting the anime to follow the manga but if constantly fails at it.

Story 6: The story line makes a lot of unexpected turns that throw the viewer and leaves the viewer with a lot of unanswered questions. The anime diverges from the original manga with an absurd ending that makes no sense.
Art 8: I actually enjoyed this Gothic anime with its medieval styled art.
Sound 8: The Japanese is better
Character 6: The characters were nothing like the manga, they developed ... quickly and and were emotionless most of the time.
Enjoyment 8:
Cons: Its hard to enjoy an anime that does not follow the manga outline. The series could have been better if they did not rush to create false ending. Meaning it ended abruptly.
Pros: The picture and sound were accurate to medieval times making it slightly more interesting.

I watched the first episode and it immediately caught my eye with its unique animation style and "camera" movements. Overall I enjoyed this series and looking forward to the next season.
The best thing about this series is how it was directed and and put together

Story: 8 because it was confusing at first until the end when the series finished and completed a full circle by filling up loose ends to plot holes.

Art: 10 Fights between Kings are unique. Special abilities are presented strongly.

Character development is ok not the best, but it doesn't distract the viewer.

This was my favorite story line so far.
Main Genres: Drama, Romance, Action

Pros: numerous twists and character developments, strong visuals with fighting scenes, background art is well done, unique ending, strong story line that keeps the viewer guessing.

Cons: Flash backs late in the season making it hard to make connections for some. Just watch the full anime and then all questions will be answered.
