The same head-spinning yet silky-smooth style with a modern spin, Durarara keeps the action-packed plot twists rolling. While I don't think it's quite the masterpiece it's predecessor was, it bears the torch well and even surpasses Baccano in some respects. There are the occasional slow bits and an unfortunate (imao) emphasis on the high schoolers later on. However the setting and character developement get fleshed out in much greater detail, crafting such an interesting and unpredictable neighborhood dynamic (Ikebukuro) that it might as well be a character unto itself. Adding in the show's myriad of excellent characters and the unique tripple-take inducing plot structure showcased in Baccano gives you a show that is guaranteed to be worth your time. You'll never guess what kind of chaos is waiting around the next corner in Ikebukuro, but rest assured you will enjoy the hell out of the ride!
