Starts like Berserk (with "The Witcher" elements I may say), ends like Bakugan/Bleach or so. Typical shounen, nothing special.
On it's start you may expect an interesting story in Dark Fantasy setting, but then it turns to be a typical shounen with all that unrealistic "power levels" like in some japanese RPG.
That's why I can't stand "The 7 Deadly Sins", "Overlord", "Goblin Slayer", "SAO" and so on, because of their unrealism and a lack of solid logic in plot. Don't think that "Claymore" is an exception.
It has a lot of similiarities with "Berserk" (Middle Ages setting, demons and demon hunters with big swords,
