'Fujino, thank you for getting me out of my room.''
Look back is an adaptation of a manga of the same name by Tatsuki Fujimoto.
A story of manga, friendship, art and loss.
Look back is a very emotional tale of two friends Fujino and Koyomoto who both have a passion for manga and creating art but after both drift apart and go their separate ways, Fujino becomes a famous Mangaka and Koyomoto goes to art school but after many years Fujino learns that someone took Koyomoto and many other lives at the art school she attended.
This movie made me a wreck haha, Look Back asks the
...
viewer a simple yet interesting question 'what is loss?', Is loss losing someone you love or is it never meeting them at all? and personally I'm not equipped to answer that.
The animation also had be tearing up but for separate reasons, it's mesmerising. Every sequence In this film is something to be studied and looked at for years to come as not only is it fluid but it's expressive as well allowing the character to come to life.
This might be my biggest recommendation of the year, Watch Look back, Give this film your time and support because it's worth it.

UZUMAKI (2024) is one of the most disappointing adaptations of not just a manga but any piece of media I've ever seen.
This show dangles a great adaptation of one of the most famous horror manga ever made in your face and then proceeds to rip it away from you an episode later.
I'm going to break this down episode by episode as this show is so inconsistant that each episode could be considered a different show.
Episode 1:
Episode 1 was handled by studio Fugaku and directed by Hiroshi Nagahama
The first episode is easily considered the best out of the 4 episodes. It
...
has some of the most expressive and detailed animation i've ever seen, every little movement from a character is fluid and stunningly animated. There were even times we're the animation was so fluid I wondered if rotoscoping was used, its beyond impressive what the team at Fugaku we're able to pull off. The fluid and terrifyingly beautiful animation of this episode is complemented by Collison Stetsons mesmerising soundtrack that allows the horror really sink in and both of these allow the story of UZUMAKI to unravel beautifully. Episode 1 is the Junji ito adaption of fans dreams but this quality sadly does not stay for very long...
The rest of the Episodes:
Episode 2, 3 was handled by a completely different studio and staff as Yuji Moriyama is now series director instead of Hiroshi Nagahama. Episode 2 was handled by Yuji Moriyama and Episode director Taiki Nishimura and Episode 3 was handled by Yuji Moriyama and Episode director Shingenori Awai.
Episode 2,3 are to put it bluntly borderline unwatchable, these episodes are clearly unfinished, rushed and had no where near the time that the first episode was given. Episode 2 is worse but not by a large amount as both episodes have awkward and unpolished CG animation, Clunky 2D animation that's still and lacks expression. What makes these episodes unwatchable though is how inconsistant these episodes are animated as for 95% of the run time they look dreadful but sometimes a great still frame or small sequence will come out no where only for you to be snapped back into reality when the animation goes back to ''normal''.
Episode 4 is where this get's interesting, Studio Fugaku return and this episode actually has no series director credited and has FIVE episode directors those being Hao Wu, Daisuke Sato, Koichiro Sahtome, Shinrai and Studio Massket respectfully which is unheard of. Before the episode aired there was a rumour that Hiroshi Nagahama was to return to oversee the episode but nobody is credited so its pretty safe to say that its a high possibility that Hiroshi Nagahama took his name off the episode...what a mess.
Episode 4 actually has a small spike in quality but it never reaches the heights of what episode 1 was able to accomplish. The shading is also improved from episodes 2 and 3 and once again feels like I'm watching the Junji ito adaptation I was promised all these years ago but that doesn't mean the episode is perfect as it has a lot of bad looking shots and jarring still frames that made me laugh at times we're I really shouldn't have been.
What went wrong?
It's pretty clear to understand what went wrong if you sat through the end credits of each episode of UZUMAKI, the studio changed but that's just the tip of the iceberg. Alot of sources came out after the series had finished talking about what went wrong with this adaptation that's been in the works for over five years and to condense this information the best I can, Around the time episode 1 was finished new management came in and production hell began. This gave Akatskui (The studio behind Episode 2,3) a lot less time and money to make their episodes near the quality of the first.
Its sadly a pretty open and shut case of mismangement from higher ups not understanding that less does not equal more when it comes to the animation industry.
Plot/Story:
The plot of Uzumaki is about a small town cursed by spirals or Uzumaki (hence the name). Junji ito has always been able to make the mundane absolutely terrifying and that's why I feel his manga works so well, it get's you thinking about how scary the small things can be but this adaptation will only be remembered for the wrong things if even remembered at all. The story of Kirie and Shuichi's small village being consumed by the spiral is still here though but due to this adaptations flaws I'd it should be at the bottom of your list if you were to consume this story for the first time.
Overall:
Adult Swims attempt at handling UZUMAKI is embarrassing, for an adaption in the works for FIVE years I expected better as did almost everyone rightfully so. It's upsetting but maybe one day we'll get the good Junji Ito adaption UZUMAKI (2024) failed to be...

''every little thing is changing my life little by little.''
One piece fan letter is without a shadow of a doubt a genuine masterpiece, and I don't say that lightly.
I have been a one piece fans since I was 14, I remember reading syrup village in class as my friends urged me to keep reading. I fell in love with One Piece very quickly and since then it has been a monumental thing in my life and after watching this I truly think it always will.
This is a love letter to One Piece fans, and Megumi Ishitani was the perfect person to direct this.
Ishitani is a
...
powerhouse and in recent years has brought us some of the most mesmerizingly beautiful animation I've ever seen through her sequences and direction on episodes of the One Piece anime and she doesn't disappoint here. The animation is beautiful with a stacked animation staff on clear display.
The story is also something that caught me off guard, it's a story about the Straw Hats influence on every day people in the One Piece world and it's placed around the Return to Sabaody arc and Marineford arc.
It's so heartfelt in a way I never thought a One Piece spin off could pull off and I was crying by the end and my friend who also watched this with me cried as-well, I have never seen him cry before this.
One Piece is a powerful series and if you have any amount of love for it, watch Fan Letter. You will fall in love with One Piece all over again.

''LIKE I CARE! I AM WHO I AM!''
Perfect Blue is a film I've put off watching for over 2 years because I was waiting for the perfect time to watch it, and today was the day for some reason.
This film is phenomenal, when people call Perfect Blue Satoshi Kon's Magnum opus I now understand why because this is film is far ahead of its time.
This film was released in 1997 and its themes have never been more relevant as it's all about a identity and how it can be fragile and easy to lose track off while also exhibiting themes of celebrity culture, obsession
...
and objectification in the early age of the internet.
I am fucking outstanding by how a film in 1997 can still have a commentary that is relevant today, Satoshi Kon was far ahead of his time and that's more clear here than any other of his films.
This film is also stunning, MADHOUSE as an animation studio have always been a powerhouse as they are renown for their countless classics and other Satoshi Kon films and this film is no different having visuals that more than hold up today.
This movie will fuck with you, this movie will confuse you and this movie will linger on your mind afterwards and I love that.
Watch PERFECT BLUE I beg of you.

''It really is...the pit of HELL''
Gachiakuta is a fairly new manga from Kei Urana also known as Kanaru.
Kanaru was previously an assistant of Atsushi Ookubo (Creator of SOUL EATER) and worked under him for Fire Force, since then Kanaru has burst onto the manga scene quickly making a name for herself. Kanaru won the 103rd Newcomer Manga award for her One-shot Shikidou and Ookubo even called her his successor.
So, with all this praise can she live up to the name of the successor of Atsushi Ookubo with her first serialized series? You fucking bet she can.
Story:
The story starts with our main character Rudo, Rudo
...
lives in slums right next to a wealthy town so he get's to see first hand the inequality of the world, and how the rich don't value what they have. After being wrongly charged with the murder of his adoptive father Legto, he's thrown into the 'Abyss' a place where all trash is thrown but before he's thrown off the edge of the world, he vows to come back and take his revenge on all of Humanity. He then wakes up, somehow not dead in the abyss and is attacked by a 'Trash monster' but saved by a man calling himself a 'Cleaner'.
This story and even the worlds power system are based off the idea that if you treat an item with care and respect, you become a 'Giver' this means you can create a 'Vital Instrument' also known as 'Jinki' and I fucking love this concept. The whole idea of, an object close to you being your weapon is so unique and it's explored pretty well in the manga. Throughout the story we see how Vital Instrument are made and crafted, and the story even explores generational Vital Instrument's being passed down to user to user. This concept mixed with Kanaru's art is a blast to read through.
Rudo is also a really interesting main character to follow, Rudo is very much just a kid trying to get back home but we also see him struggle with his past on more than on occasion, there's a chat that him and Enjin (The cleaner who saved him in chapter one) have in chapter 39, where they talk about flaws and self improvement. Rudo talks about how he thought he improved and bettered himself but is now doubting that, he says 'I thought i was better- I thought I had grown up! but I'm still just a snot-nosed, turd faced brat!' and this is followed up by Enjin telling him how even grown up's have flaws and we all have room for improvement. I really like this interaction, and its kinda of why I even made this review. I picked up this manga expecting it just to be cool and raw but I ended up connecting with the theme's of this series which is always a positive for me.
Art:
Gachiakuta is spectacle put to page, Kanaru's art is fantastic! Its dynamic, colourful and you can clearly see why Ookubo dubbed her his successor. From page one, this manga has your attention. The panelling is so unique and expressive in ways I've rarely ever seen a mangaka do, the art changes with the tone and every moment is a blast. The art is genuinely stunning in ways I struggle to express. Kanaru is clearly very good at visual story-telling and uses panel's and expressions to her full advantage and she isn't afraid of trying something different.
Overall:
Gachiakuta is just fucking cool, I'm serious when I say this manga is one of the most stylistic manga I've ever read. Even if you don't connect with its story like I did, I feel this manga's art, concepts and idea's are more than enough to keep you engaged. This manga is a blast and I do feel you're missing out if you don't at least check out Gachiakuta!

''Red is the colour of hero's, Huh?....I know I took along time. Sorry. Come on no more fighting alone, Everyone waiting''
''Lets go together''
Spoilers for Mekakucity actors and The Kagerou Project
Mekakucity actors is something I've wanted to make a review on for years, but I'll preface this review by saying two very important things. Firstly Mekakucity actor's is not a standalone piece and will not make sense and seem completely confusing if you don't know that this show is the ending to a multimedia project named 'The Kagerou Project' and you'll need the previous pieces of media to really fill in the missing puzzle pieces
...
with this show. Secondly this review will have bias, as I not only adore this show despite it's short comings but I adore the entire Kagerou project and hold it in a very high regard, so please do keep that in mind while reading my review but with all that being said, Lets get on with this review!
Mekakucity Actors is a spring 2014 show, animated by Studio SHAFT and written and created by JIN (also known as Shizen no Teki-P).
The show was handled by some pretty interesting staff at Studio SHAFT such as the studios ace Akiyuki Shinbou and a at the time first time Director Yuki Yase (Who later went on to direct Fire Force and UNDEAD UNLUCK) both handling the role of Director and Co-director. This show had some pretty impressive episode directors aswell such as Taiki Konno who handled segments of episode 9, Yukihiro Miyamoto who handled episode 2 and Kenjirou Okada who handled episode 3 to name just a few standout staff on the project. It's pretty clear to see if you know anything about Studio SHAFT (Especially at the time) that the names on Mekakucity actors staff are impressive and I'm not even naming all the stand out animators on the project. So, how was the execution animation wise?
Animation:
Time to talk about Mekakucity actors animation but keep in mind what I'm talking about about here is the original airing of MCA which is how many people saw this show but I promise ill talk the blu-ray afterwards, In short the original airing of Mekakucity actors was a very mixed bag and somewhat a mess. Mekakucity actors animation suffered greatly from its production being heavily rushed as episodes aired clearly unfinished but despite that a lot of the episodes do look great and have some genuinely out standing moment's. I think each episode had its moment to shine and each episode has at least one sequence that looks wonderful. I feel the show had amazing animation in it's key moments where it needed it most such as Kano's and Kidos flashbacks, The Kagerou daze sequence, Headphone actor, and Shintaro unlocking retaining eye's to name just a few.
Mekakucity actors also very much has that 2014 Studio SHAFT charm, mainly because of Akiyuki Shinbou. Thing's such as the iconic shaft head tilt, close up character shot's and cutaway shot's that appear for mere seconds for comedic effect are still very much here and that's because of Shinbou involvement as a director no doubt. I personally find it charming and really adore that this feels like a shaft show from the studio's early Monogatari era but I also understand why viewers and fans are not massive fans of it aswell.
I can't talk about Mekakucity actors original airing without talking about the opening sequence to Episode 9 'Ayano's theory of Happiness' which is abysmal, what was meant to be a heart-warming sequence about Ayano and her three siblings Kido, Kano and Seto becomes a clusterfuck of disgusting CG models that don't even look like the characters, awkward character movement and a product that looks...well laughable, its laughably bad and sadly has not only left a stain on the show but the entire Kagerou project as a whole. It really is that bad, it's really upsetting too because that episode and especially that moment should have been a standout in its original airing as it's based on of the most heart-warming and tear-jerking songs from the Project but instead the anime made a mess of it.
This show suffered the most because of production being rushed and episodes being rushed to air that clearly weren't finished as backgrounds looked ugly and messy, mid shots of the character looked clunky and off model and of course at its worst that unfinished touch ruining moments that fans such as myself adore but there is somewhat a silver lining to all of this. Mekakucity actors received a blu-ray edition of the show that fixed those clunky moments and made the show, look stunning. The clunky mid shot's now look as they should, backgrounds are completely redrawn to look stunning and there are even a few moments of the show that we're redrawn completely such as Mary's backstory where her house and location look drastically different and better from the original airing, and Ayano's theory of Happiness? Well what went from an unfunny joke of a sequence is now a gorgeous (Non CG) sequence that is breath-taking, heartfelt and one of the best parts of Mekakucity actors in my opinion. So if you haven't, seek out the blu-ray. if you're watching this show for the first time, want a rewatch or are just curious, the best way to experience this show is through that version and I promise it isn't that hard to find. Mekakucity actors Blu-ray is leagues better than the original airing and is what Mekakucity actors should have looked like from the start and when talking about Mekakucity actors today, I talk about the blu-ray version.
Story:
The story follows Shintaro Kisagari, a 18 year old shut in that lives with a virtual being named ENE and after spilling Cola on his keyboard finds himself meeting a mysterious group of kids called the Mekakushi dan.
Each piece of Kagerou Project media starts out with the same starting point of Shintaro leaving his house and meeting the Mekakushi dan and Mekakucity actors is no different but The Kagerou project is a 'Route' based series so even though each entry starts out the same, they all go in different directions to tell different stories and explore different aspects. Mekakucity actors is the final and last route of the project dubbed 'Summertime record', so it's job is to tie up lose ends and end 'the summer that never seems to end' for our main cast.
Mekakucity actors story doesn't give you every piece of it's puzzle, as it expects you to have already have read the rest of the media such as the Novel, Manga and Music and that's its biggest blessing and curse. Looking at this show at current year (2024) and having all the media at our disposal its very easy to understand what Mekakucity actors leaves out as other media fills its place as that's what a multi-media series is all about but as of 2014, that wasn't possible. The manga and novel where not finished when this aired so it was rather confusing looking at this shows story because it clearly was missing parts and didn't explain core aspects that JIN had planned to explain later on in the Novel and manga. Mekakucity actors story to a fan viewing this at the time and somebody who has no idea what the Kagerou project is, doesn't make sense and is this undercooked thing that 'Had protentional'. But with some hindsight and looking at this shows story today will all the context. it does a very fantastic job at wrapping everything important up.
Mekakucity actors showed Haruka getting back that body he rejected, Konoha finally saving Hiyori, Kenjirou Tateyama finally able to see his wife after years of struggle and loss, Shintaro finally able to save Aynao and Haruka, and the Mekakushi dan finally getting to see the end of summer and that's wonderful but Mekakucity actor still feels rushed. As much as I adore what we were given, its clear that everything was wrapped up way too fast and needed more to breathe. That's really this show's problem in every aspect but its most present in its story. These moment's the project has been building up too such as the final confrontation with Clearing eyes while in the show are still cool, they feel underdeveloped and needed more time to feel even more impactful.
That being said I still really like MCA's story and what it brings to the table, the story even though rushed is still fantastic. Mekakucity actors manages to balance the comedy and serious moments fantastically and each character is as bombastic and enjoyable as they've ever been. While MCA isn't perfect, I still love this show.
Conclusion:
I understand Mekakucity actors isn't for everyone, its a show that requires you do your homework and defiantly isn't perfect by any means however I still love this show with all of my heart. Mekakucity actors provides everything I'd want out of the ending to a series I hold near and dear to my heart. Every neat little detail, every reference and nod to past media, every song and cover, I really do love it all. Mekakucity actors could be called a mess of an anime but to be honest I couldn’t care less, all I cared about was finally seeing the brighter future that the Mekakushi dan wished for, and Mekakucity actors certainly delivered and even more some.
I love this stupid little show that aired in 2014 and I always will.

''Nothing can happen till you swing the bat.''
This review isn't going to be laid out as I normally would because FLCL is FLCL.
FLCL is an early 2000's anime made by Studio Gainax of Neon Genesis Evangelion fame and Studio Production I.G. FLCL feels like a direct response to Evangelion as while Neon Genesis is a show that as the director of FLCL says ''With Evangelion there was this feeling that you had better be smart to understand it, or even just work on it''
FLCL is the complete opposite of the spectrum when it comes to enjoying media and creating media as a whole. Fooley Cooley
...
is fun, confusing, and stupid. With FLCL there is never that expectation of you that understand what you're watching and the show even takes it fair share of funny jabs of arthouse pieces of media with its character Kamon but it isn't a turn your brain of off piece of show that just exists to look pretty, you can find meaning in FLCL and find themes that can connect to you however FLCL never cares if you do or don't. You don't have to find meaning in FLCL to like it or to absolutely adore it even. FLCL feels like it exists to say 'Its alright to enjoy things for the sake of enjoying it''. FLCL will never make you feel stupid while watching it because throughout its six episodes it wants the audience to have fun, it doesn't want to hurt you're head or force some deep media literacy meaning onto you, If you find meaning in FLCL that's wonderful but if you don't? that's completely alright because I feel personally half the time FLCL doesn't even understand itself so why should you? This show isn't made for you to feel smart, its made for you to enjoy it no matter the circumstances and personally its refreshing to see a show like FLCL.
I personally got my own themes out of FLCL, I got an overall theme of growing up, and that you can never truly grow up and even the 'grown ups' around you still have no clue what's going on exactly as a child would so it's okay to not understand everything that's going on in life however even if I got no meaning out of this show, I'd enjoy it the exact same way because its okay to feel stupid and its okay not to look into every piece of media as if it has deep metaphorical meaning. As Kazuya Tsurumaki said '' FLCL is the story of boy meets girl. For me it is also about how it’s ok to feel stupid.''
This show also has one of the single best soundtracks I've ever heard, Tracks like 'Advice' and 'RUNNERS HIGH' are just fantastic and the show would not be the same without the pillows making such outstanding music for it.
FLCL is a beautiful in more ways than one and I'm grateful and glad I checked it out. FOOLEY COOLEY FOOLEY COOLEY!

"The world would be so boring without idiots like you to amuse me."
Hellsing Ultimate is nothing short of insanity. This show has taken me off guard more times that I ever expected it too and I cannot thank it more. When I call this show insanity, I definitely don't mean it badly, Hellsing Ultimate is a fucking blast to watch. Its unapologetically fun and completely and utterly balls to the walls in every aspect.
Animation: This show was animated by three key animation studios Madhouse, Satelight, Graphinica respectively. From what I can gather production for this OVA adaption of Hellsing was a mess, The first four
...
episodes where animated by Studio Satelight and then due to the project being too long it was handed off to MADHOUSE who animated episodes 5-7 and after that MADHOUSE left production due to higher-ups leaving and finally for the last three episodes it was handed off too Graphinica who finished off production.
Considering the project went through production hell and Studios constantly leaving, you'd think this show was a lost cause? The animation probably isn't consistent throughout the batches of episodes each studio worked on and it looks bad to mediocre at best, right? Yeah you would think that, but somehow, somewhere, something happened because this show looks phenomenal, I'm serious. Hellsing Ultimate somehow pulled it off because its stylistic, beautiful and consistently impressed me each episode. It feels like each studio had respect for the previous and the style stays consistent throughout all ten episodes and you'd never guess this show went through such hell in production. You would never be able to tell this was three separate studios.
Hellsing is dark, scary and beautifully terrifying in animation and story, which leads me onto
Story: Hellsing starts off with a flashback where we met Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing. Integra after her fathers passing is being hunted in her own home by her uncle as he wants her dead to take over the Hellsing Organization. This is when Integra runs to the basement and reawakens an old friend of the Hellsing family. Alucard also known as Count Dracula, The Count, The King of Vampires, you get the point.
Cut to a few years later and Alucard and Integra hunt down Vampires in Britain as the Hellsing Organization has done for years before them and that's the start of Hellsing.
The story for this show goes so unexpectedly off the rails and I love every minute of it. One minute you are seeing Alucard kill a Vampire priest and the next they are fighting the Nazi's...Yes the literal Nazi's. Vampire Nazi's. Hellsing Ultimate does not hold back at all and embraces its source material completely not holding back and not cutting out anything the manga had instore. To the gory to the obscene Hellsing Ultimate has everything and more and you cannot help but look in awe or disgust depending on how you feel.
The cast is also so fun to watch on screen no matter what they are doing. Ive talked about Alucard but I havent mentioned the Scottish brut of Alexander Anderson who whenever on screen is a blast, and Walter C. Dornez to name a few. The villains are also so fun to hate and trust me, you will hate all of them.
Conclusion:
Hellsing Ultimate definitely isn't for everyone, if you don't like blood, death or gory depictions then Hellsing Ultimate is probably best skipped however if you don't mind that and want to see Count Dracula murder other vampires with some visually stunning scenes and memorable OST's, You should check out Hellsing Ultimate.

'I'm the protagonist of my own life. That's why I chose to be here'
Mob Psycho 100 II is nothing short of wonderful.
After my rewatch of season I, I decided to rewatch season II and while the first season of Mob is great in its own right, Mob Psycho season II blows its previous chapter out of the water.
Animation: Studio Bones blew this season out of the water, Mob Psycho has always been beautiful but season II feels different in that its the perfect amount of everything, The action isn't in your face while also being just a spectacle to look at and its slice
...
of life content is pretty and at time's calming. What more can I say that hasn't already been said about Bones care and love put into this show. Stand out episode when it comes to action is episode 5 'Discord ~Choices~', Which was mainly handled by Hakuyu Go who is a Mob Psycho Veteran and also worked on Mob Psycho Season I's wonderful ending fight sequence.
Story: Beautifully hopeful is how I'd describe the story of Mob II. Mob's story was wonderfully carried over in this season and the side story with Reign was powerful in ways I'd never expect from a character like him, I'd rather not get into spoilers but the last 3 episodes we're some of the best in the series. The ending is also a powerhouse of emotions that caught me in a world wind of thoughts and feelings. You can see how much little Shigeo has grown and improved not just with his powers but his idea's on the world and people as well. Everything about Mob II's story was a delight to follow and I feel ONE (Mob's author) understands his character's more than any author I have ever seen.
Overall: Mob psycho is a show that I think has a message for everyone, its beautiful in its animation, storytelling and characters. From someone who only thought it was okay on initial watch, upon rewatch this show is deserving of every single bit of praise it gets and even though I don't say this often, if you haven't watched it you really are missing out.

Platinum End has nothing to say...
Platinum End is the newest work from Obata, Takeshi and Ohba, Tsugumi mostly known for Death note and Bakuman. So this series should be up to the same quality of those shows right? No, not in the slightest.
Platinum End makes me annoyed, how did it end up this bad? how did the people who created one of the best psychological thrillers also create the worst?
First lets talk about its anime adaptation before the story:
Animation: Fine...Its fine. Signal.MD animated this adaptation of Platinum End and it was mediocre. It was never poorly animated but it was never fantastic either, it
...
was just animated. it didn't take or add anything however the only redeeming quality of Platinum End's manga was how good its art was and that amazing art isn't carried over into great animation...not that this deservers it mind you. So you really are just left for the story to carry this show...which it doesn't.
Story: The story is a mess, a full blown mess. The starting concept is great and hooks you well into the first episode but loses you midway through ep 3 because it becomes Power Rangers with a really awkward forced romance. I am not kidding the show about becoming the next God ends up being a season of Power rangers for like half way through its run time. This show has messages of Morality, Death, what it means to be human, God and if the existence of God even affects humanity... but doesn't explore them until you met Yoneda around end of Ep 18, and the themes? They are poorly done to the point of me questioning why they even bothered. Yoneda says a bunch of nothing bullshit for 7eps and then the show ends with a piss poor ending that leads you thinking
'why did i even go past ep 3?'.
Throughout the whole show you are waiting for it to pick up and it never really does. The starting concept is really cool and even the themes it wants to explore could be interesting but Platinum End cannot decided whether it wants to be a season of Power Rangers or a deep dive of religious culture and what God is and means to people even if a small majority. I am not even going to start to mention the creepy as shit character/Villain of Metropoliman (Again Power Rangers Villain name) and the forgettable and overall shitty cast of characters we are forced to follow. The only redeeming quality about this show is that it ends...Not well but it does end and you can forget about it afterwards and watch something better.
Overall: Dont watch Platinum End, if you want a similar but better show watch Death note. Death Note and Platinum end are 15 years apart but Death note still does everything Platinum End is trying to do and does it so much better, Death note is the better and more loved older brother of Platinum End and that's for a reason.
3/10 just don't
