Uzumaki (Manga) add
As with most other reviewers, I must admit Uzumaki really scared me the first time I read it.

I felt like I was a kid opening a box full of adult themed toys that i wasn't supposed to see. Every chapter just drawing me more and more into the void of the obscure and grotesque adventures happening in Kurouzu.

The main cast is honestly quite underwhelming, being mostly victims of the curse flowing through their town, and feeling completely powerless to do anything else than escaping their circumstances.

This proves to be harder than expected, when they need to dodge all manner of bizarre happenings, ...

Tomie (Manga) add
Tomie is the story about a succubus, who charms men into falling in love with her, only for those same men to brutally murder her, making her lose her memories and repeating the process with the next victim.

If that doesn't catch your attention then I don't know what will.

Tomie is just really cool, she gets into the most weird situations and has no idea why she does half the things she ends up doing.

As Junji Ito writes mostly short stories, which are usually entirely separate from one another, Tomie's adventures are not really connected most of the time, yet the cycle repeats and ...

Platinum End (Manga) add
Platinum End is much more than it might seem at first.

True, you might be tempted to believe this show is just another one of those little tournament shows where people fight each other for a random price. And the first few chapters really are just that, but it's not until the latter half of the story that Platinum END really steps up and becomes a modern masterpiece for me.

What begins as a simple winner takes all tournament develops into a fully fledged political discussion about the nature of life, death, destiny, and morality. We meet many characters, each of them bringing up an ...

Monster (Manga) add
My favorite piece of media ever written.

Monster is more than just as story, it's a philosphical thesis on the ideas of morality, evil and good. And it is the best thing I have ever read.
The conflict between the main character and his villain is really like watching angels and demons debate. from the standard of altruity and empathy, to the all consuming darkness of loneliness and egoism.

Monster very deeply explores these concepts, and gives us the readers what i interpret to be a heart-warming answear about the nature of our behaviour. Johan is not a monster, for monsters are not real. Johan is ...

Kengan Ashura (Manga) add
Mixed Feelings
Kengan Ashura is trying to be what Baki has been for the last couple of decades.

Though succesfull in many aspects, particularlly art syle, kengan ashura just falls short where it really matters.

The story is nothing new. there's a big fighting tournament and every fighter wants to win it. each with their own martial stlyes and motivations for winning the big price. Admiteddly, the fights are actually really entertaining, and the characters- although bland- really make you root for them during their combats.

In short, I feel like kengan ashura set out to tell a story, and it told just that. Regretablly, nothing this story has ...

Mixed Feelings
After having read JJK, I'm left with a sour feeling.

I loved the story when it first came out. It felt like it had been a long time since we'd seen a good, dark shonen. and expectations were high from the get-go.
Luckily, GEGE really pulled through and gave us some of the most memorables characters and arcs in recent memory. For better or worse, most of the characters in JJK are going to be remembered for a long time.

The highlight of this manga was definetively the Shibuya arc, where every plot point from the beggining of the show either expanded or closed. It also ...

Jojolin is gonna go down as an underaprecciated gem in the future.

Not only is the mistery present from the very first pages of the manga, but this part just takes the "Bizarre" in Jojo's Bizarre adventure to the next level.

The main protagonist does not even know his name, all he knows is that his body is the body of two people who ended up being mixed together with no recollection of any prior events.

Gappy, as people call him, is everything a Joestar needs to be, Fair, just, kind and decisive. I felt he was probably the most reliable out of all the ...

After the conclusion of part 6, I had to immediatelly start reading this next part.

And I have to say that although shocking at first, Part 7 has to be one of the best entrances of the entire series.

This part lead the way for everything that's Happening right now, in part 9. and it also cleared anydoubts about the abrupt ending of part 6.

Taking place in an alternate universe, or universe B, back in the year 1889, the story centers around a country-wide horseback race lead by the president of the united states, Funny valentine.

Our protagonist, Jhonny Joestar, once a very prodigious ...

Part 6 is really a defining moment for the series as a whole.

Not only does it conclude all the parts before it, but it does it in a way that makes you wanna read part 7 immediatelly.

I'm not gonna lie, the main villain of this was not as interesting as all the others, but he definetively had that addicting resilience every good JoJo villain has.

Jolyne, on the other hand, struck me right at the beginning. her whole backstory is interesing, and the way she carries herself really reminded me of younger Joseph from part 2 of the story.

Her stand is also quite ...

Part 5 was the first time I read the manga for JoJo, since I became a fan and got caught up with the anime just as the Diamond is unbreakable anime had come to an end.

Going from the wildly colorful and stylish anime adaptation to the original format was quite a shock at first, but it didn't take long for me to be hooked. Specially during a particular dancing scene on top of a boat.

At first, I didn't really like Giorno. He seemed to think too highly of himself, and his confidence bordered into recklessnes at times.

It's not until you meet the ...
