Plot:
Main Character is kidnapped by 5 women and tortured by them...and that's it. Some chapters are just him being tortured.
And we need to talk about the tortures...well, they are highly sexual.
This manga include: cross-dressing, shaving, cunnilingus, anilingus, fisting, pissing (golden shower and drinking), diaper fetish, dog role-play, baby&mom role-play, shota, rape, lesbian rape, etc...I think the only thing I didn't see was scat, but a character was threating to shit in the MC's plate if he don't eat his food, so that's that.
Anyway this manga is a masochist dream.
The story truly have a mystery which is why they are torturing him, but
...
well, we still don't know and showing the sexual tortures take precedence.
Art:
As you probably noticed the manga is a borderline hentai. Expect a lot panties shots, ahegao, girls are naked most of the time and having big boobs.
Characters:
Nothing much to talk about them without spoilers, but to summarize all the girls are very crazy. In fact, all women in this manga are crazy and weird sex maniacs.
It's difficult to judge MC...He do nothing to try to escape most of the time and It's not even enough time to Stockholm to kick in.
Enjoyment: Meh, just reading because I'm curious about why they kidnapped him.
Overall: If you are a masochist, read. You probably will like.

Story (4):
This is our average Zombie-type Apocalypse, but instead of zombies we have giants chickens. The plot is very straightfoward, MC must save his brothers and sisters when all the adults became chickens.
This manga have a very weird passing and sometimes the story skip some stuffs.
The ending is rushed in a point MC get healing powers and start to heal deadly wounds. I'm joking a little here, but I guess the mangaka didn't had the time to deal with the ramifications of the characters being wounded so he basically forgot about it.
Art (5):
The characters are draw a little inconsistent. The human characters are draw in
...
three types:
Toddlers - They are draw very chibi and weird. They really look like from a different manga.
Adults - I guess the mangaka wanted to go with "adults are evil", so they are draw very creepy. They remind me the weirds faces that Onizuka from GTO does.
Teenagers - Like the average manga characters.
The background, most of the time, is just a real life photo black and white.
A very important thing to mention about the art is how it got worse with time. In the first chapters everything is very detailed, but the last chapters stuffs looks like a bunch of scribbles.
Apparently this was caused because the gore was making some people uncomfortable. Sadly, this really damaged the art of the manga.
Characters (3):
Most of characters are forgettable and/or useless. They are basically a waste of cast, but let's talk about 3 of them.
Tora: the mangaka, for some reason, really want to paint him as a bad guy. It even a little infuriating because he is apparently the only one capable to do the smart decisions.
Aki: she's the token girl, therefore she's useless. She's just here because I want to mention the scene which she slap Tora because he kill a guy who tried to rape and kill her. Yes, we are dealing with this type of person.
Yuu: He's the Main Character (MC). And he's a Emiya Shirou, in other words he want to save everyone include the guy who tried to rape and kill his sister. To be honest, I hate this type of character in this type of story.
Enjoyment (5):
It was nice in the beginning like any manga, and as the story goes you start to see the flaws. I mostly liked because I like Zombie-type Apocalyptic stories, but it's really not worth it.
Overall (4+5+3+5 = 4.25 = 4):
Very cliche story, bad written with a rushed ending.
Terrible characters and a ok designer.

Yes, the anime is filled with fanservice. Yes, sometimes it will be excessive and sometimes pretty silly. Yes, you will see panties shots and boobs jiggle EVERY TIME.
With this is mind, if you are uncomfortable with this kind of thing you are bond to hate. But if you don't mind at all, you really see a excellent anime.
The animation studio is MadHouse so you already know the animation will be 10/10. Even the CGI end up not being that bad. The background and some scenes were particularly very well made.
The action scenes are very well animated. Also despite of the silliness of a scene which
...
a bullet go through a girl's boobs, I found the scene kind cool.
The soundtrack is fantastic, and also liked how the ending music is different each episode, and how the ending change too. It's a interesting thing that make watching the ending less boring. Watch out for the after credits scenes.
It's not much to talk about the plot, it's the kind of stuff you already saw in any zombie story. A bunch of people trying to survive in an apocalyptic world. The characters is somewhat cliches you see in some animes:
Takashi is the MC and want to save everyone.
Rei is a childhood friend and one of the love interest, she's pretty annoying by the start of the anime.
Saeko is a swordwoman of the group and one of the love interest, she is cool and calm
Saya is another childhood friend and a love interest too, she is a tsundere e belittle everyone because she's smart.
Kohta is a gun otaku and he has a crush on Saya.
Shizuka is the doctor and she's pretty much comic relief.
I'm kind neutral about the characters, since the anime didn't had much time to get any of them having a big character development.
Both the japanese and english dub are also very good, particularly Takashi's dub. Talking about this, I like his little monologues he have sometimes.
For me, it's a very good action-horror anime. Like I say, if you really annoy yourself much with fanservice you already set to hate. But if don't, relax and enjoy this mindless action anime.
Despite everything the mangaka is dead, so because of this, most likely we will never see a second season. So, this maybe also influence the decision of trying to watch this or not.

Higanjima is a horror/action manga about a bunch of people going to a island with a bunch vampires. I read almost half of the manga so my insight.
Let's first state the vampirism rules from this story: The vampires aren't killed by sunlight and only can be killed damaging their brains. To became a vampire, you must be infected by their blood. Vampires need blood so they can halt a mutation that can transform them into demons (A powerful creature, but without inteligence). They apparently have bad eyesight and good nose, but, besides the beginning of the manga, this never is brought up again. They also
...
can make their hair go white if excited, but we never see this apart from the beginning. (Considerating all vampires also wear hats or are bald, this it's difficult to know by certain)
Despite the manga being labeled a seinen, the plot really like a generic shonen. I guess is just a seinen because of the violence and nudes.
It's pretty much, our main cast trying to defeat our main antagonists.
The art is nice. The gore stuff are very detailed and I love the design of the demons and vampires, despite being kind simple, it's creepy. I think very noticeable is that the mangaka has probably issues to draw the caracters differently. You can see this when the main cast spend 8 months in the island and apparently wear the same clothes or Rei and her CannotRemoveMakeUp wearing the same outfit even in flashbacks! (Kind funny seeing everyone wearing kimonos and she's there wearing a jacket and dress).
All background characters are just the same character draw over and over.
Also another issue is, because this a seinen you'll see a lot female nudes, but is it really necessary show, everytime a vampire bite someone, the person pissing themselves? I get the point in the first times, but this happen everytime! I think the mangaka has a piss fetiche.
The Main Cast is pretty much:
Akira, the main character, his job is to be Emiya Shirou and constantly cry because he want to save everyone, but he can't. Interesting thing: in the beginning of the manga is stated he's very smart and very perceptive, he can pick up stuff that no one can't (Like knowing if someone is lying or predict the vampire would escape the car)...this is never brought up again.
Kato, he's the brawl, but he never fight against the vampires so he's useless.
Nishyama, he's the brains, he's job his to give random informations for the reader.
Ken, he's the comic relief...
Yuki, she's the girl of the story. Her job is to be the Damsel in Distress.
Pon, he brought a gun and give character development to Akira.
Atsuhi, he's the badass brother. He's there to save everyone, because everyone is useless.
Miyabi, he's the antagonist...He's evil.
The character don't have much deepness, they are pretty much how I described them. No one actually has a character development or get strong, besides our main character.
Another issue I have with this manga is every chapter he does a recap of 1 or 2 pages about what happened in the previous chapter. It's very weird if you have the physical copy and you see the previous chapter on the right and the next chapter on the left. You can even notice he recycle some panels!
Sometimes I think the mangaka think the reader has amnesia. In some point of the plot, it's revealed a character became a vampire. Problem? We already knew about it, but the manga treat this like is some big revelation. Even the main cast treat like it was a big revelation despite they saw the character being infected!
Well, my overall until now is 4. If you like high violence and cool action scenes you will probably like more.
Despite this, I'll still try to read this. I mean, I have no hope the manga will get better, but I want to see how much the mangaka can stretch this story. It's 33 volumes, and this is just season 1! It also have a sequel with 16 volumes and another sequel with 14 volumes until today (2018)!
PS: This manga make me research if Katanas can cut metal. ProTip: They can't.

First, what Bleach did great: Action. The series really have very good fights and the actions scenes, even for a manga, is great.
Kubo's art is very good, despite being very noticeable he don't have much variety. Mostly of the female characters are too much alike, with just the hair and breast size different.
Now, the worst part: the story. At first, the story start very good. With a lot plot twist, some mysteries during the first arcs and the Arrancar arc ends. To be fair, that was a very good finale to this manga, in my opinion it was perfect, and I would give 6/10 here...
...
but they continued with the FullBright Arc and Quincy arc.
The Fullbright arc looks like a filler. It have no purpose at all, but being used as a McGuffin to the next arc.
The Quincy arc really started very well with a sense of despair and because this was supposed to be the last arc I really was hoping that everything was possible...nah! This arc ends with plot holes, unresolved issues and a lot Deus ex Machina.
And the characters...well, Kubo really like to create a bunch of characters. The problem? They are just that, a bunch of characters. A lot of them have zero characterization, or are definite by a quirky or a gag.
The worst really go to Ichigo's friends who have no power at all. They really like very interesting characters, but because they have no super powers they never have a character development and some are even disappear "mysteriously" like Ikumi or Ryo.
This is a real problem with a story with a lot characters and sadly Kubo didn't knew how to deal with this.
I like to say Bleach is like Transformers, it has cool fight scenes and sexy ladies...and that. The last 2 arcs really damaged the plot and characters.
