Two fantasy adventure comedies featuring a human joining the demon lord's army as an important person within, Yuuyame's MC helping solving issues for the army and each general whereas Salaryman's MC being assigned one of the four generals solving issues too. Their premises are very different in that Yuuyame's MC is overpowered and has the power to defeat the demon lord but decides to quit being a hero and join them instead whereas Salaryman's MC was isekai'd to the high fantasy world and is a completely normal human being with no much superpower except just recalling his past skills as an employee to use in negotiations. Within both, we see the MC's make positive changes to the demon army and slowly become more well-liked by the people around them.

Elves in modern day Japan except the premises are different as to how they came to be on Earth, one having been summoned there ages ago whereas the other magically appears there from the isekai. The elves become accustomed to their new place and are cared for by someone, Edomae being the family whose shrine she's in and the other one the guy who she was in a party with in the isekai. Major difference is one is more just whole-hearted slice of life whereas the other leans more towards romance between the elf and the male MC.

Tasokare Hotel
|
Their genres and premise are very different but they seem very similar with them being very Japanese in appearance and also to do with a main focus establishment providing hospitality to its patrons, tho not set in your usual modern day Japan with more fantasy setting. Although their hotel purposes are different, one in providing hospitality to supernatural beings and the other providing abode for those in limbo of life and death trying to remember how they've come to be, both shows do have their light hearted funny moments mixed with some serious drama between as each episodic tale takes you on a storytelling of a particular guest, as well as figuring out stuff between the main casts too. If you like cute girls doing cute things in Konohana and it being more relaxed too, Tasokare may not be for you as it doesn't really have that aside from Neko fangirling at Ruri. If you like the mystery detective-like solving issues in Tasokare, Konohana doesn't really have this either.

Renown hitmen live their normal-seeming lives in these action comedies whilst also taking care of their child, main difference in that the circumstances for this is different where BD has two guys (not in a relationship) look after a child after the events of a mission whereas SD the child is actually the hitman's daughter and is married to his wife, both children also voice acted by Kino Hina too. The hitmen in both shows are chased after by the assassin's group they were with and overcome obstacles to protect their normal lives, tho in SD this gets resolved quickly. Main difference too is that BD has the child as a main focus of the series but in SD the child is there, just not the story's main plot and also SD introduces another character not part of the family into the main casting.

Modern day Tokyo comedies featuring a powerful female MC (both played by Hinaki Yano) residing with a male MC that knows how to cook and do chores whilst attending to their everyday work. Hensara is a lot more laid back compared to NEET Kunoichi's hyperness and go into more different directions where Hensara is more slice of life whereas NEET Kunoichi is about romance. Characters do vary in terms of archetypes with NEET Kunoichi also have wild personalities in them whereas Hensara is more tame but the premise of both are pretty similar in what they do and the slight traditional Japanese-like flair to them with their character origins but neevertheless both female MCs enjoy their new lives.

Shows that show the love of their prefectures that contain school romance in (a lot more minimal in Yatogame-chan but it is slightly there) but with a mass show and tell of their places regarding what people are like within their areas and the local amenities too, both very educational in learning more about their places. Tho their premises are fairly similar and there being a male MC just getting to know the place for the first time and a female MC advertising the cities, the main difference is one is very short in the episode lengths compared to the other one.

Romcoms set in school about a guy moving to a new city in Japan attending school there meeting the locals, both on opposite sides of literal spectrums where one is in the snowy cold Hokkaido and the other is in the sunny hot Okinawa. Similar setup with love interests at play and a push for local things in their areas are present, tho the push for Okinawa stuff is much more presented upon in Okitsura compared to it being here and there in Dosakoi. Okitsura also provides a more speedy approach to the pacing of the show and is a lot more hyper compared to Dosakoi and as well, the male MC faces translation issues with the female MC most of the time whereas Dosakoi there isn't too much of an issue in terms of dialect play.

Silly creatures get up to fun activities in their everyday lives with minimal problematic issues occurring in these children's anime. They're very similar in there being new creatures in both shows they meet along the way and are full of vivid colourful depictions. The main difference is that Shizuku has characters all within a completely fictional world whereas Cocotama is based in a modern day Japanese setting, also in Cocotama the creatures need to be kept a secret whilst Shizuku's just roam around wherever. They feature characters in training, Cocotama to become fully fledged gods whereas Shizuku in becoming better protectors of the forest. The different character archetypes are pretty similar to each, you got a happy-go-lucky main character, lovely and the more sexy one, one that loves eating, the little jokester prankster, and even an elderly one teaching the young ones too. They both also have Ryouka Yuzuki in them too, the innocent pure but sometimes womanly Uruoi-chan in Shizuku and then the very womanly and sexy-acting Kirarisu in Cocotama.

Character archetypes are quite similar between both shows and use 3D CGI where needed but mainly consist of 2D type drawings. Both are full of silly fun everyday life but what makes them different is that Cocotama is generally more normal whereas Mewkledreamy has some of the humans being magical girls/boys along with this being a slight more romance heavy compared to Cocotama.

Children's shows featuring a girl taking care of cute creatures, tho despite their demographics are children, Chii-chan feels more suitable for children slightly older than if it was for Cocotama. There are characters that are silly and full of everyday fun but creatures in both are kept a secret to most humans whilst the creatures strive in a goal throughout both, Chii-chan repaying kindness to the MC whilst Cocotama are little gods trying to help out everyone in order to become fully fledged gods. The shows are very colourful and there ain't really much threat going on, just the daily lives of the characters as something exciting happens in their everyday lives with the addition of the creatures whilst going to school normally too. They both also have Aki Toyosaki playing as a pink creature and also her doing an ED song as well which is really coincidental.

Main difference is the animations where on majority Tesagure uses CGI whereas Kitakubu uses illustrations but both can alternate every so often. Tesagure mainly focuses its meta components with VA's giving thoughts on new ideas whereas Kitakubu's meta moments sometimes revolve around 4th wall breaking such as making remarks to the watchers, bringing up real life things, acknowledging ED song changes. Squishy fictional characters living within everyday modern Japan being taken care of by a girl. In both shows, characters meet a variety of different characters, Chii-chan has new chiteijin and random folklore characters shown and Punirunes has new punirunes shown, coinciding a happy everyday life of random fun activities, tho Chii-chan is a slight bit more story-based compared to. Perhaps the biggest differences are that in Chii-chan, their extra characters are kept secret whereas Punirunes seems like common knowledge to everyone, also that Chii-chan series derives from a manga serialization whereas Punirunes series derives from the digital interactive toy (similar to Tamagotchi).

Two anime aimed for children set in a colourful environment with fun exciting activities happening every day. Both anime are episodic in nature and mainly compose of the everyday life within both places, appearance-wise their locations are something you'd expect from a children's show too being very spacious and full of greenery. Characters in both are fantastical, Shizuku-chan being very fictional with their drop-like characters and Line Town using mascot characters from its phone app but their characters breathe life and fun in both. Perhaps the biggest difference is the generational gap in both of just under 10 years difference, Shizuku-chan leaning more to your traditional 2000's kids show and Line Town being a bit more modern with phone culture at play. Another difference is that Shizuku-chan introduces a fair amount of minor characters who appear for one or two episodes amongst the main cast whereas Line Town generally play episodes around the 7 characters, sometimes with the occasional character not part of their group appearing every now and then. Both shows are bundled with so much fun and random silliness that if you enjoy one, you will enjoy the other.

As well, Akuyaku's MC is not deemed well in other's eyes due to the prejudice against those with black hair which is deemed unlucky, let alone wielding black magic. Meanwhile RA features the daily operations of a ramen place ran by talking cats and the human MC joining the place as a part time employee but is very much SoL work related.
